This popular breakfast spot was close to our hotel, so we went in to get breakfast today. There are lots of choices for bagels and cream cheese. We chose bagel breakfast sandwiches. Mine was called southern heat, and it included house made pimento cheese, bacon and hot honey. It had a good flavor. Unfortunately, I found that there was hair baked into my bagel. Delighted to find this TERRIFIC bagel shop today. Every bagel type is a winner. They packed them beautifully in plastic for us when I said we were taking them on the road and wanted them not to get stale. Being from New Jersey originally ourselves, we knew these would be top notch when we saw their NJ Parkway sign and NJ state map, too!! Additionally, peanut butter to bagel ratio was also the perfect amount. The place is somewhat small with a 3-4 tables inside if you want to dine in. I would recommend taking it to go because it gets noisy in there with people waiting for their food. They also have online ordering available. The main entrance has coffee and food and the side entering has just coffee. We waited about 45 min but the eggs were very good. I got the pork roll and my wife got the sausage. Our Uber driver recommended this bagel shop and he was spot on. We've lived around the world and have eaten a lot of bagels over the years and this has to be the BEST bagel we've ever had. My husband had the everything bagel w/lox. He said the smear was perfect. I had the avocado toast with tomato and added the hashbrowns on jalapeño cheddar. They are not chincy on portions Amazing. For that wait, the food should have been good. I got a gluten free bagel (outsourced from GF bakery - cool). $20 order, whitefish with lettuce tomato onion on GF everything bagel. Got a gluey hockey puck. a bit of cream cheese and the thinnest, saddest layer of whitefish salad. Like a truly abominable serving. It was pathetic to look at, devastating to try and take a bite. Couldn't bite through. The whitefish squeezed out the sides. thankfully there was barely any whitefish so, no mess. All in all, a very sad excuse for a bagel. Seriously guys, I get that I live in a world where a plain bagel is $1-2 and mine is $5, I really do. But those GF bagels need to be pressed on the flattop, both sides with butter or oil, longer than you'd think. Please figure out how to make them edible if you're putting them on the menu.
