Delighted to find this TERRIFIC bagel shop today. Every bagel type is a winner. They packed them beautifully in plastic for us when I said we were taking them on the road and wanted them not to get stale. Being from New Jersey originally ourselves, we knew these would be top notch when we saw their NJ Parkway sign and NJ state map, too!! Now we live in California (me) and North Carolina (my companion) and will have to be content to dream of this bagel perfection. And yes, these bagels have holes! Free parking in their lot across the street. It's no wonder they were packed with people!

My bagel was okay. Not bad but not the best I've ever had. You do get a big bagel for the price so that was good! Very cute inside

Was there when they opened at 7am. A few people there. Had the egg and cheese bagel with a drip coffee. A great bagel. Very light and less dense than a NY bagel. Coffee was solid. People who work there are very nice. A fantastic choice in Charleston for a quick and filling breakfast.

Holey City Bagels is NYC-style bagel heaven right in Charleston--and it totally lives up to the hype! The bagels are fluffy, perfectly chewy, and have that unbeatable bite you crave. We got a bacon, egg, and cheese on a cheddar jalapeño bagel with scallion cream cheese, and another on an everything bagel--both toasted to perfection and insanely delicious. Weekdays are less busy than weekends, but go early if you're coming on a Saturday or Sunday. The staff is super quick, hardworking, and friendly--kudos to the team for keeping everything running smoothly. Totally worth the hike and the hype!

The amount of salmon and cream cheese was decent, the everything bagel flavor was good but it was cold. The crunch was there but dough was a bit dense not enough air pockets. It's was crazy busy!

Wow. Holey City Bagels completely delivered. My husband "ran out to grab breakfast" and somehow stumbled into this place... and I'm very glad he did. He brought me an everything bagel with egg, cheese, and sausage, and it was absolutely ridiculous in the best way. Perfectly toasted, packed with flavor, and just one of those breakfast sandwiches you keep thinking about after the last bite. Honestly, this was one of those unexpected finds that ends up being a highlight. Breakfast in bed just hit differently thanks to this place. We'll 100% be back.

Bagels were soft, but I was hoping the rosemary salt bagel would be baked with the rosemary in it. It was just placed on top. Still delicious though. Sandwich was made fresh, so it came out hot! Coffee can be ordered at the bagel counter, but must be picked up next door. If you're looking to just get coffee, you don't have to wait in the bagel line. Just enter the other door and order there

Great bagel! Got the pastrami egg and cheese which was a little heavier on the cheese but that's what I typically prefer. The line was nearly out the door but my wait was not as long as I would've expected

As a pescatarian who doesn't eat dairy or eggs, I'm normally not able to order lox bagels! But they made it easy for me to sub vegan cream cheese, and the rosemary bagel was fantastic (that's my favorite kind of bagel)! It wasn't the best bagel I've ever had, but it was definitely the best lox bagel.

Absolutely love this place! The bagels were so awesome. We made it a point on our trip to try somewhere new each day we were in Charleston but Holey City Bagels was the exception, we broke that point just so we could grab it on our way out of Charleston. The customer service was amazing as well, despite there being a line out the door, the staff were still extremely patient and kind which we appreciated greatly after some discouraging experiences in town. We really loved seeing this place prospering with business because it is highly deserved!

Asked for a toasted everything bagel with scallion cream cheese. The bagel wasn't warm and not very great tasting. The scallion cream cheese was just okay. I have 2 stars because I enjoyed the friendly service but food was lacking.

Local bagel shop in downtown Charleston! The wait was out the door when my family and I arrived. From when we got in line to ordering at the counter and getting our food, it took a little over 30 minutes. I ordered a cinnamon raisin bagel with peanut butter. The peanut butter is made in-house and has a hint of honey in it. I wish I could have a jar of their peanut butter because it was amazing. Additionally, peanut butter to bagel ratio was also the perfect amount. The place is somewhat small with a 3-4 tables inside if you want to dine in. I would recommend taking it to go because it gets noisy in there with people waiting for their food. They also have online ordering available. Personally, 30 minutes would be my limit for waiting, but I wouldn't blame anyone waiting a tad longer for how good the bagel was.

Holey city bagels is located conveniently right off king street. The interior is quite spacious with a couple tables and chairs off to the side. It's a walk up and order stop, service was very fast. My bacon egg and cheese was delicious, the egg was a little runny, the cheese melted perfectly, and the bacon was crispy. My only complaint would be I felt the bagel was over toasted and a bit hard. My friends enjoyed their sausage egg and cheese, and the turkey sandwich. I also got a cold brew, it was very tastey. However one coffee and one egg sandwich was about $20 so keep that in mind. I'd recommend holey city bagels if you're looking for a good BEC bagel after a night out on long street!!

5/5 Stars - Absolutely Incredible!…read more This spot is a total gem. We ordered a vanilla cinnamon iced latte, a cappuccino, a smoothie, a breakfast sandwich on an everything bagel, and a strawberry pop-tart, and every single item was outstanding- gluten free options too!!! The breakfast sandwich was perfect--flavorful, fresh, and served on a perfectly toasted everything bagel. The strawberry pop-tart was unreal, an elevated treat, and the drinks hit the spot. The iced latte had just the right balance of vanilla and cinnamon without being overly sweet, the cappuccino was expertly crafted, and the smoothie was incredibly refreshing. Beyond the food, the vibe here is immaculate. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, the background music is great, and the workers are exceptionally friendly. It's the perfect place to kickstart your morning. We will definitely be back!

It is much more casual than I thought, with some of the menu (like bowls and salads) already made and ready to grab from the fridge. So happy we ended up staying because everything was fantastic. We ordered at the counter, grabbed drinks from the fridge and found a table on the side, covered patio. Food was brought out super quickly and it was absolutely delicious. I got the St. Philip pita, which was incredible and almost tasted like a halal cart chicken sandwich in the best way. It was so filling and so good. It came with a really tasty side salad. My fiance got the BLT which was just as great. I can see this being a really ideal space to bring my laptop and get some work done if I lived in the area. Definitely worth a visit if you are looking for a great, casual space for breakfast, lunch or coffees.

A review posted in honor of the experience one of my friends had this past week -…read more My husband and I came to Charleston specifically for the food, and out of all the amazing meals we had, Miller's All Day was hands down our favorite. We came for breakfast and started with the banana bread with Nutella cream cheese -- absolutely incredible. We also split the cornmeal pancakes, which were so good we came back the next morning just to have them again. I ordered the B.E.C. with the home fries, and I can honestly say they may have been the best potatoes I've ever had in any form. Perfectly crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, and they practically melted in my mouth. My husband had the turkey club and said it was fantastic as well. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and memorable. We loved it so much we went back the very next day. 10/10 -- highly recommend if you're visiting Charleston!

Love the display of record covers on the…read morewall, though we agreed that it was a totally missed opportunity that there was no music playing, even though they had what appeared to be a great sound system as well. Second, this is one of the few places that's still having you scan a QR-code at the table for the menu. ...So, we're sitting down at this cool restaurant, with southern hospitality vibes, and we're being directed to pull out our phones to pull up the menu and then spend a good minute with our faces in our phones trying to decide what we want. Vibe killer, for sure. I would rather have a nicely-designed card stock menu with an eggy fingerprint or a coffee stain than sitting at the table with my phone out waiting for the menu to download and then trying to navigate it while discussing it with the server, who in our case, was a bit impatient. And also loud and impersonal while I'm at it. So, we ended up ordering: BISCUITS AND GRAVY-- this was the best thing we ordered. Rosemary presence was just right (love Rosemary but not too much). The pickled ocra on the side was perfectly pickled and crisp, which was a wonderful contrast to the scrambled eggs and gravy-soaked biscuits. I wish I could've walked out with a jar of them. Only complaint was I wish that there were some small chunks of sausage in the gravy. CINNAMON ROLL- this was impressive, a biscuit cinnamon roll pulled high with a whipped, airy cream cheese frosting. Wasn't the best cinnamon roll I've ever had. If there was a classic ooey gooey cinnamon roll near by, I'd pick that. Still appreciated it as something different that was executed well and highlighted their biscuits. MILLERS PLATE (I think that was the name of it)-- it was a basic breakfast platter with eggs, choice of breakfast meat (my son chose bacon), home fries, and a biscuit. My son said it was basic, but that his potatoes were over-fried and greasy. PATATAS BARAVAS-- my husband got this and said that the sausage was sparse and it was overloaded by large chunks of potato. If you're going to pay nearly $20 for a plate, it shouldn't be primarily filled with filler like potato. He said flavor was nice, though. Also, he missed on the menu that the meat was a "brisket sausage" and not "brisket AND sausage," so worth noting if, like him, you would be looking forward to the latter. This is pay at the table. They also pre-set tip options to 20, 22, and 25%. And our server stood there waiting for us to complete our transaction. Hate that. If you must use a pay at the table device, be classy and review the ticket with the patron, give a kind farewell, and then give them step away to give them space to decide on the total and tip without pressure. Also, we nearly never tip less than 20% and more often tip more, but it puts a bad taste in my mouth whenever suggested tips start at 20 or more percent and go higher. Bit presumptuous. On the way out we had to stop and grab some pics from the Photo Booth. This was a fun touch. Glad to have tried this spot while making a pit stop in Charleston. Has special breakfast/brunch vibes, for sure. Just a few things that could be improved.
