But this place has gone above and beyond in terms of quality of cleaning, alterations, and customer service. I even caught the owner doing karaoke at the counter during one of my pick-ups. Entertainment optional, Ha! They have reasonable prices, better than most places. I usually come here for hemming pants ($5.99) and laundry of dress shirts ($1.75). Since most shirts don't fit me well off the rack, I get them altered here...hemming of the shirt and sleeves. Their work is professional and fast. This is the 1st time that I needed a gown to be altered. I have a Jessica McClintock corset ball gown that I used more than 20 years ago for prom that I am hoping to use in an upcoming event. Just had a great experience here prompting me to write this review. The purpose of my visit was to alter some expensive jeans and sew a patch on another pair of expensive jeans. For the alter, I asked for original hem and the patch I just wanted it fixed cheaply. Was a little skeptical at first bc I didn't see any comments about an original hem but her price point was really good and she pretty much said I wouldn't be disappointed. Sure enough, when I picked up my pants, they were just perfect. They followed the same thread color of whatever the jeans were and made it look like there was no alteration at all. At the end of the day, I brought in 4 pants that needed work and they all came out great. Best part of all this was she had a 24 hr turnaround. Cost wasnt too expensive. I didnt have a rush order or anything so I picked up my dress shirt like 1-2 wks later. The reason why I aint giving this place 4-5 stars is cause there was(and still is) a reddish pink stain on the inside of my collar. I think it was due to part of the collar being red so that when they washed it, it somehow stained onto the main part of the collar, which is white...Anyways its not a super huge deal because its on the part that touches the back of my neck anyways, not the part that people see. However, i felt it was still worth noting because what if it had happened to a more visible part of the shirt/article of clothing? I may try this place again, but if another issue turns up, I probably wont give em a 3rd chance. read more

I got my wedding dress dry cleaned here and left for vacation. She held on to it for about a month to be honest... and when I went back to pick it up without my receipt number she found it with ease and didn't make me feel bad about it. I have been coming to this dry cleaning for 2 years due to the proximity and cost. The first year was great, shirts are clean and on time. Only recently do incidents start to happen. I'm not sure if they have equipment, staffing, or process change, but here are the incidents that have happened within the last 3 months: 1. Twice were my dry cleaning not ready as promised, and I have to go back to pick up again. Not a big deal, but slightly annoying. 2. Once, they lost a shirt and took 4 hrs. to find it. 3. One months ago, I found grey dots on my right hand sleeve (white shirt) after dry cleaned. Since I discovered it after I drove to work, i didn't go back to claim for anything (and its only one shirt). 4. This month, I dropped 17 shirts off as usual and indicated the grey spots on my white shirt. They said they will take care of it. 5. When I received my 17 shirt, I took them home and wore it the following week. I found that one of my shirt has 5-6 brownish dots on the right sleeve. I then looked through the rest of my shirts and found 2 more shirt with the same issue. Then I looked at my original white shirt with grey dots and they are still there but faded. 6. This is when I took all my shirts back still in original bag and tags on the shirts to show what happened. This is when customer service is critical. When I showed them the shirts, they of course said the stain might have been caused by me before they washed it. NOW that's mistake number 1. How do you inspect your goods when you receive it and you are to tell me that you don't inspect it after wash and iron prior bagging it? If I were to inspect on the spot after washing, they can still claim it was caused prior washing, and customer can say it wasn't. They took the 3 shirts back and said they will try to take the brown spots out. Three days later upon pickup.. the shirts still have the same spots. I was not happy and asked how this can happen and she said they tried their best and that I likely stained it before they washed it the first time. REALLY!? They then offered me $5.25 for the $350 worth of shirts ruined. I was speechless...as it is just not worth the small claims court. Needless to say... no more business from me or any of my friends after 2 years of loyalty. Advice to the business: 1. Inspect the shirts before taking them in. 2. Inspect the shirts before bagging them. 3. Inspect the equipment and process to see what is causing the spots on right sleeve of the shirt 4. It is never a good idea to accuse the customer on ruined shirt when it is freshly washed. In the meantime, I'll count myself unlucky and advise everyone who goes there to inspect their cloths with them during dropoff and pickup. But I'm not trying my luck with them again. read more

I brought in two blazers and two pairs of jeans. I needed the blazers to be less narrow at the shoulders and the pants hemmed. For all 4 piece of clothing, they only charged me $80(2 jackets for $70, 2 jeans for $10!) I thought that was pretty good. They got it done in a day and a half. Went to the competition called 888 Cleaners, they are very close to each other so don't get them mixed up! Never again! I paid 888 $10 to fix a hole is my sons Trues. They had them 6 DAYS and when I went to pick them up they did a half assed job. I asked them to put matching threading down the side and the guy said "we don't have that color". How can you not have a basic color!? Stomped over to HOLIDAY CLEANERS and told them what happened. They have hundreds of colors of thread! The nice ladies said they would have fixed them for $5 then sewed them on the spot and didn't charge me! HAPPY HOLIDAYS for all your alterations and sewing! Don't bother going anywhere else! I'm usually skeptical about little hole-in-the-wall places like this, but this place blew my skepticism out of the water. I brought two garments here for size alterations and a new zipper. Amazingly fast and cheap, and they're so nice, too. I liked their work, so this time around, I brought in a very elaborate punk-style hoodie that I am customizing. I wanted them to sew on some faux fur lining to the hood, add 2 zippers to the wrist cuffs and adjust the sleeve size (I had the zippers and faux fur on hand for them). The labor was only $25, which is really awesome, considering that half of the job had to be done by hand. Pickup is in 3 days only. With the great price, timing and amazing job they do, I would definitely recommend them. read more

This review is for alterations only.... I needed my dress taken in and went here since their reviews were good. I had an idea of how I wanted it done, but the lady pointed out that she would have to take the entire mid-section apart too. She then suggested an alternative to accomplish what I wanted in a way that would be more cost effective for me. The dress turned out great and the thread they used matched the bright pink fabric of my dress perfectly. The dress fit perfect and only cost me $10 for the alteration. I have a temporary stay in the area, called around and found this place. It's in a small mall and you have to go from Landess Ave. (Clear Lake Ave. has two ends which do not connect through). Not only that it's the cheapest that I found in the area, I also found that the shirts are clean and well-ironed, definitely just as good as those that I've tried before and charged twice as much. I also had several alteration work done (pants hemed, jacket sleeve shortened) recently and while the prices were extremely reasonable, the workmanship was equally well done. So I bought this suit thinking it was the right size for me, but it turned out to be TOO BIG. They helped me out with the alteration and they were very helpful and very nice. After the alterations were done, they did a wonderful job making sure I would fit into it! And when I went to get my suit dry-cleaned after a rude girl covered with body paint brushed through and nearly stained my suit, they helped me out again by making double dry-cleaning it. I came in as agreed and the shit was not yet ready... it was a little frustrating because I drove about an hour out. Anyways she said sorry and to come in the following day. I came in at 8 am as it says online when they're available however as someone else stated that they open at 9am now. So again I was annoyed. But I waited and came in at 9. I tried on the suit and I am very pleased. It fits so well. It was my dad's old suit from years ago.... Regardless of the miscommunication and such, I am very pleased. Better than Purple Tie! (they are more expensive and they didn't thoroughly clean my suits like these guys do) They take pride in their work, and they remember my name after coming in after I left my stuff there for several weeks one time. The first time I had their service, I was worried they'd charge me for not having the receipt, but they always are kind enough to ask for your last name and phone number to find it. I had my Canucks jersey and Crooks-n-Castles hat stains removed as if they were never there! Plus, they have a $3 tie rack - some of them look nicer than the ones you get at Macy's for $50. read more
