Will not come back. I had dinner and drinks with a friend and she accidentally spilled cranberry juice on my new coat. I brought my coat in the very next day to have it cleaned here. The lady told me these stains were very small and I should be able to pick it up in three days, which I was really excited about. Unfortunately, when I went to pick it up, both of the stains were still there and just as visible as they were when I brought my coat in. Additionally, there was a brand new, grayish stain next to one of the old stains! I brought this up to them and they said "maybe if [I] just wash it, it will become lighter and lighter." I only paid $5 for this "service," but I will definitely not come back to this glorified coat check. read more

I had my leather jacket altered here to reduce the length of the sleeves a little bit. I was aware that altering any clothing made of leather can be quite difficult, but this shop did an excellent job in doing so. The stitching in the sleeves is like it came out straight from the jacket factory. The cost of the service they've provided for me is unbelievably low on such high quality work. Currently sitting in their shop waiting for my pants to finish being altered/hemmed and I'm feeling so blessed I found this little shop. Basically, I bought a pair of scrubs (top and bottom) and needed the pants hemmed short by tomorrow for clinicals (class). I called around to other alteration shops around 6 PM and no one was willing to finish it by tonight except for Holiday Cleaners! I came in 30 minutes before closing and they were so nice and quick to have them finished by 7 PM. It was a small fix, I know, but other shops were not willing to finish it by tonight or even give me the time of day since it was so late and all shops are closing. I cannot thank Holiday Cleaners enough. They were polite, quick, reasonably priced ($6 hem, $6 tightening), and so soo sooo accommodating. Highly recommended. read more

Wow!! What an Excellent service I got from KIM today!!! This review is mainly about their Alteration service (previously I reviewed their Dry cleaning & Laundry service) I had an alteration requirement to be done for one of my Indian wear, Churidar (Narrow Pant) and I had very less time, needed the work to be done by Monday at the max. I took my pant to Holiday Cleaners yesterday i.e Thursday morning with an expectation that they will take at least 2 days, as this is a bit complicated work which involves more time and patience. It's not the usual hemming pant work. My pant needed a complete makeover, re altering the entire bottom section of it to my size and additionally to also bring the ankle section of it look-like Indian styled (Gathering). And to my surprise, they got it done in just 1 DAY and that too without any further re adjustments, in a FABULOUSLY FLAWLESS WAY. Appreciate KIM (Owner/ managing staff) for displaying her utmost sincerity towards customer satisfaction and the Tailor, TRAY, who understood the exact kind of correction my pant required in the very same manner in which I wanted it to be reshaped. From my experience, even a tailoring store won't deliver alteration work this quick and might even take 2 or more days to finish this particular job, unlike Holiday Cleaners whose main business is dry cleaning/ laundry. Quite amazed at HC's delivery speed. They in fact charged me a very reasonable rate, almost the same as other tailoring stores nearby. My go-to spot for alterations! I'm on the short side and have the figure of a 12 year old boy so I need nearly all of my pants/jumpsuits hemmed and dresses taken in. Kim and the rest of the staff are very friendly, offer great prices and get the work done quickly without sacrificing quality (had to place a rush on a chiffon dress with lace sleeves. Kim took care of it in a day and it looks perfect). The best part is her honesty! When I bring in stained items, I always ask about the likeliness of them removed and she'll let me know whether or not they're beyond repair. Honest business is hard to come by these days so I can't share my appreciation enough. I've referred my sister and friends in the area to Holiday as well, and we've all been happy customers :). This place is great. Normally, my peacoat costs $14.95 to clean at the two places nearest to my home. This place charges $8.00 which is a fantastic deal. After getting it cleaned, the string holding one of the buttons snapped. When I brought it back and asked how much to get it fixed, they said it's free and she fixed it right in front of me. Took a couple minutes and I was on my way. The other two cleaners near my home would probably also charge me for this, which they didn't here. In fact the other two charged me for returning my garment a little stained still. This place, doesn't seem to leave stains though some hairs are still present. All in all though, I'd still make the extra drive out. read more

I used to go to an alterations place close to downtown San Jose. It was quite a distance just to get some clothes altered, but the ppl there did an awesome job. I'm so happy to have found a place so closely. I got some pants altered for like 7-8$. It can range from 7-15$ tho depending on the material and what you want done. Despite the sign on the side of the building stating they do wash and fold, they do not. When we asked, they got on the phone with someone and gave us a price of $1.99/pound. As that was more than expected, we told them and they said they could decrease the price. I was under the impression that someone would be picking it up and doing it at home then bringing it back. Washing my large comforter - $30 Taking in my jeans - $10 My comforter had a large stain on it and I figured they would see that... They quoted me a certain time and when I had gone to pick it up, they didn't know where it was. She had to call and ask. She told me that because there was a large stain on it, they had to re-wash it. Uhh... you should have seen it in the first place! They said that they will hurry the process and get it to me. I left and had to come back. When I came back, they put it in a large bag for me but I had them open it up so I can inspect it. Of course, I saw some rips at the seams. I asked them about it and they made an excuse that the material is easily ripped and that it's not their fault. I was upset and told them that it wasn't there before, so I shouldn't get it back ripped. They sewed it back together right there... which they should have done in the first place! My comforter turned out okay... the stain is barely noticeable but I guess since it's been an older stain, it's hard to get out. I just don't think that their customer service is all that great and they need to pay more attention to details. My jeans came out alright... no complaints there. read more

BEWARE!!!!!! I called this cleaners as it's close to our home and asked if they could press some linens for me. The lady said sure no problem but she needs to see them first. So I came in and brought 7 linens and showed her them. I explained I usually steam them my self to remove the wrinkles and creases but due to our daughters graduating and parties we were having I had no time and was hoping to just pay to have it done. She explained yes but it's $10 each, I agreed and paid $70 just to have them pressed. The next day she called me and said there ready. I came and picked them up and didn't open them as she didn't say there was anything wrong and I had been so busy I didn't think to Check each one. The next day was party day, so we opened the linens to set up and was extremely disappointed!!!! I don't believe they pressed them at all or even tried or maybe they don't have a steamer???? Who knows but see the pics below for proof! So I go in this morning, ask to speak to the owner, who was not there. Spoke to the lady again and showed her the pictures. She then called the owner on the phone and they talked a bit. Then the owner asked to speak to me. I explained my story and he said "you done yet" I responded with yes, he then stated okay no refund your fault we can remove the creases so that's your problem then hung up! Unbelievable! The ladies there at the shop seemed to be scared and worried. The one lady kept saying she was so sorry and she was willing to give me her own money just to try and make it right!!! I explained it's not about the money it's the principal of the situation! If you couldn't do it, call me and say that! Don't make me think everything is fine, take my money then find out you didn't do the job!!! This place is shady!!!! The owner is corrupt for sure! Those ladies in there seemed scared for there jobs! I went on a little shopping spree and purchased a few suits a couple of weekends ago, of course all of them were a bit too long for me being that I am not even five feet tall. I took them back to my favorite alterations place, Holiday Cleaners, to get them tailored. Kim is always such a delight to work with. She took her time to take my measurements and make sure I understood what it was that she would be able to do with the alterations. Some of the suits had double layers, or pleats in them yet she was still able to work around the added fabric and designs and make the suits look great! I love coming here to get my clothes tailored.I I am so thankful to have found them. 2/14/2011 - original review - I originally took a few pair of jeans in for a quick hem. I was really pleased with the work and the quick turn around time so I decided to take in some business suits that I needed altered. The ladies there did such a wonderful job I just cannot find enough words to describe how pleased I am with their work. The quality of the alterations is outstanding. I could not have asked for anything more. I am very short and when I buy business suits I always have to get them altered to fit my arms and have the skirts hemmed up a bit. I had 3 trousers I needed to get hemmed. I didn't want to pay a lot since the pants were already expensive. So I looked at all the reviews on yelp and found this place. $5 to hem trousers was a deal! I called them to confirm and the lady even asked if I wanted to pick them up the next day if I dropped the pants off today. When I got there the lady was surprised the trousers were different so she said she would have to charge me $6 instead. I was fine with that since most places charge $15 each. Then she mentioned the one with the lining inside will have to be more. She said she will give it to me for $8 even though it's normally $10. Overall it's only $20 for 3 pairs of pants. Even with the price discrepancy, it's still a great deal. I was able to pick up the pants today. They did a great job. I was afraid it was cash only for the super affordable price, but they take credit cards. I definitely recommend this place. They also have cheap dry cleaning prices. read more
