Checkin was a breeze, the clerk was quirky silly, really nice. Everything looks fresh, newer. Very clean, new carpet in hallways as well as paint. Room was clean. Had a weird smell, just kinda stale. They offered to move us, we said not necessary, so they gave us some Lysol to freshen it up. Also, I think it's every hotel I stay at but the usb ports next to the bed always have at least one or two that don't work. This is no exception, it must be the law, lol. I really like that Holiday Inn is still around. I've been staying at them since I was a kid and I've never had a bad stay. They have a nice continental breakfast, lots of options, sadly I have to leave too early in the morning to enjoy it. read more

For the love of God, book somewhere else ! We just got home from Staying here over the weekend We chose this hotel because of all the "great" reviews. Where are these people who wrote these reviews ??? SIGH! We travel a lot and are not picky people, sleep easily and not easily bothered AND we rely heavily on other reviewers before booking as it always served us well. I feel It would be unjust if I didn't do the same ! Unfortunately, we are not having the same experience here. I'm trying to save everyone else from the same experience . Below is the review I wrote while we were still there ..it was that unsettling ! Had to take notes.. First the pros: easy fast friendly check in, hot water and fairly decent room with microwave and fridge, coffee in common area was nice and fresh. The pros STOP THERE! Cons: the walls are super duper thin. You can hear every door slam and footsteps above us (I don't blame the guests) as we believe the walls and ceilings here are just built very paper thin, OMG, sounded like someone was running and walking back and forth all night above our heads. if you are a light sleeper ..good luck! We are not but yikes I feel for others. We just pushed through it and turned tv up to help drown out the pounding noises. Also when we First stepped into our room after check in , we could not figure out what the heck was the smell in the room ?? We thought.. maybe it's just smells musty because the AC needs to clear out the room as many hotels need that initial crank up however, the smell continually stayed whe we left and came back . as much as we wanted to ignore , It would not leave the room our entire stay..it smelled like wet dirty socks! Sadly, We've NEVER complained about a single room smell in ANY hotel in the many years of traveling numerous places ..that should tell you something. And to top it off, the 2nd night of our stay here tonight around 9 pm ...the fire alarm went off in the entire building! so we all scrambled outside in our pajamas to the hallways as we wondered what the heck was going on! The entire hall way was filled with guests for a few minutes as we all contemplated whether to head to the stairwell and as we decided to proceed downstairs, the alarm STOPPED RINGNG ! No explanation and no announcement from anyone in the hotel . We figured that every person and their mama will be calling down to find out what had happened and if the alarm threat was over to only be greeted by a very rude front desk lady (as if we were wasting her time) with no apology , no explanation ! I basically had to ask her if the threat of the alarm was over like pulling teeth .. when she rudely replied, " yea" Unbelievable ! Lordy, we have one more night here and it can't come quick enough !! since we've already prepaid for our stay... we will just endure it ..it's just what it is ...don't want to deal with the hassle of moving rooms or hotels at this point but SAVE YOURSELF the headache and trouble AND BOOK ELSEWHERE! Ps came home today and found they charged a tax differential because they said 3rd party payer didn't charge me correctly for the room! NEVER in all my travels has Priceline EVER charged me incorrectly whereby a hotel will charge a different $ after you stay . The price you pay is upfront with Priceline always! Needless to say, I will never be coming back to this hotel ever save yourself the trouble it's not worth a dollar that you pay for all the hassle. read more

Clean updated hotel. Breakfast food was typical eggs, pastries, bagels, pancakes, coffee and juices. No bugs and the area was perfectly safe. The pool is only indoors. There was a pet area outside. The only downside was the bathtub didn't drain and took 5 minutes after a shower. They fixed once but kept happening. There's a real fridge, coffee pot and microwave in rooms. 10/2024 We stayed at this hotel on a Saturday night (Bucks were on the road). HIX was sold out. Next time I'm in town I'll stay here. The room was good & clean. The public areas were clean. The breakfast was fine. The parking lot was clean, no loiters & my car was not molested. My only suggestion is better signage from the street. read more

Stayed here for two nights post-renovation that took place earlier in the year. Honestly I didn't think it was needed. It was very nice before, but it's really nice now. Of course, the most disappointing deal was the breakfast due to COVID precautions. Instead of HIE/S-famed hot breakfast, we were very limited in our selection--several cold cereal boxes, muffins, bananas...also you had to make your own coffee using Keurig in your room. Especially, disappointing was the lack of Japanese-style breakfast offered since they (at least used to) had quite a few Japanese patrons staying here. It was very interesting and good when I tried it before. Nonetheless, HIE/S offers great comfort and sleep quality. King-sized bed is always extremely comfortable. The hotel is quiet and provide calm atmosphere. My roomy king suite was nothing but comfort. Thanks for another great stay! When I come back to Columbus, I will stay here again, I'm sure. read more

It honestly pains me leaving 1 star reviews, but it's important for others safety, especially any single men, women, or families that may be staying here. It began by spotting a man in the back of the hotel a business suit that was stumbling, slurring his words and appeared to be drugged (non-willingly). He was the physically dragged back to his room by two women....but that is not all. We picked this hotel that is 100% Smoke Free as its important for anyones health especially children. Despite this guarantee pasted on the website and around the entire hotel, we were woken up at 1am with smoke billowing in our room. It was so stuffy that it caused my children to wake up and vomit from the cigarette smoke trapped in the room, even after opening the window! If this seems dramatic, they have disabilities so this smoke-free guarantee is truly important for their health. And, there was no way to get the smell or physical smoke floating in the air out. Since I was half awake, I called the front desk and they "accomodated" us by putting a fan in the hallway to circulate the smoke out as it was filling the entire 2nd floor with smoke. We rebooked on another floor where we were "guaranteed" there would be no issues for our 2nd night. We received our key, changed rooms and continued our daily errands. Upon returning (about 5 hours later) we were met with a new employee Christine behind the desk. Our room key was not working, so we needed another one. Christine then tells us we need to pay *another* incidental fee and though confused, we agreed to return and pay the fee AGAIN once we out our children in the room so they were not bothering other guests while running through the lobby. About 5 minutes later, Christine calls our room stating that she doesn't believe we have the money to pay. While on the phone with corporate they recommended we stay on the phone with them for our safety and they will attempt to call so we can pay the incidental fee. When Christine calls again and we informed her corporate is walking us through the process to handle "situations such as these", she stated she is now calling the police now to charge us with trespassing on the room we paid for; where we have stayed for now 2 full days. Corporate informs me that the phone lines are disconnected and asks her (over speaker phone) why the lines are disconnected - she points at me and tells me "I don't have to talk to YOU! I'M CALLING DUBLIN PD AND THEYRE GOING TO ARREST YOU". I responded calmly that is fine, we can discuss what's happening with the police when they arrive. Corporate asks her again to simply accept our payment so I can leave the lobby and she screamed "NO" before locking herself in the back room, pacing the lobby around me, and then returning back to the office and locking herself in there again. When the police arrive and speak with her they informed me they can tell there is something strange going on and obliged to stay for *my* families safety. Corporate stayed on the phone and was adamantly apologizing while documenting everything Christine, the police, and I said. Dublin PD was extremely kind, provided us with police stickers, and stayed on the property to keep us safe as they noted Christine was following me and my children down the hallway...which she had to go out of her way to do. Once we got in our car, Christine ran out of the hotel and sped off in her car....I believe she just started her shift... And in case you need to guess, my family is MULTI-racial, I'm ambigious, and my husband is a white-passing Asian man. This was the strangest experience I've ever had in my life and Christine was *thankfully* a failed Karen in the making. If you want to pay for a space and then have the police called on you & have them stay for YOUR safety, this is the hotel for you. Edited to add: Christine was one of the women dragging the man in a gray business suit back into the hotel & another hotel employee in Dublin stated it appeared that Christine may have been on something; very unfortunate. read more

Reserved a larger room so a roll out bed can be brought in. I get there and was told there were no roll out beds at this location. I explained they my situation required a rollout. Showed that website clearly showed that the more expensive room I reserved was appropriate to fit he extra bed. They switched me to a larger room with sofa. I walk in and see 2 roaches. Was willing to have staff just spray. Moved something for him to spray behind, roaches ran in every direction. Actually grabbed stuff and ran out of room. We had to go to a different hotel in the middle of the night with my autistic kid screaming. Front desk actually said they would TRY to give refund. Manager called said we got a refund and they switched room free of charge. I should be grateful they could do that. All issues their fault. I demanded compensation. No, we did everything we can. Corporate tried to give us 2500 points toward next stay. I earned 10000 is a free nights stay. She had to call me back twice upping it from 5000 to 10000. I feel so appalled I should get a week or something. I don't know, worst experience ever. Ruined vacation with my now stressed out son. Thanks Holiday inn! read more

A very clean quite hotel easily accessible from the freeway. Room was spacious, staff very friendly. It offers free Wi-Fi. A nice gym with laundry facilities. Bathroom was really nice. It has a walk in shower in the corner. I really enjoyed it because I find most tubs to be not level with the floor so I feel like I am going to slip sometimes. One of the better free breakfasts in recent hotel stays. They have some Asian dishes for breakfast and some of the channels listed on the channel card are Asian stations. read more

This hotel had everything I needed. A big enough pool for my boys and friends. A nice meeting or gathering area to feed them in the center of the hotel so we didn't take the dinner into the room. A fitness room that was easy enough for teen boys to use and not complicated equipment. There was enough pool towels (which every hotel does not! ). The rooms had an easy thermostat, easy to use and the front desk person was very helpful, pleasant and very easy to talk to . (Sometimes not easy to find on a late night ) Rooms were clean, floor was clean, pool wasn't too heavily chlorinated and the breakfast! Wow!! Hot breakfast and cold breakfast! Loved Holiday Inn Express Dublin. I had a great experience. Didn't experience any rude ANYONE here front desk or cleaning or otherwise. Hotel was clean! Front desk lady was super friendly when I checked in. Room was super comfortable. Hot tub was amazing! Pool area was fabulous. Pool temp was perfect. Plenty of towels available. Pool area was not perfectly clean... as there were a couple things on the ground like a ball of hair and other things so you knew it wasn't cleaned completely from the night before but maybe they clean it later int eh day and I was there at night and then in the morning early. Pool is open 7a-11p I think. can you tell I picked this hotel for the pool???? The breakfast was fine also - the usual HIE. But they also had this asian stuff! So when I asked - it was rice with pickled plum and fermented daikon radish or something.... with dried seaweed sheets and miso soup packets. They said they get a lot of Japanese guests working at the honda plant. I thought that was very nice that they had that! Never seen that before in my life. Props to them. Nice hotel. a little mold/mildew in the caulk in my shower stall - no bathtub. Convenient to the freeway and many food options. A kid accidentally knocked a sign over when he was jumping around and they were yelled at and parents were told they vandalized. I stayed here while I was in Dublin, OH and this hotel is quite nice to stay in. There was little noise. The beds were comfortable, but I would say that you can tell the furniture is around 10 years old, which is how long this Holiday Inn Express has been open. I had a problem with my credit card and the manager called me after I got home in which she was very pleasant, so I will definitely consider this place again if I am back in Dublin, OH. read more

Started at the Holiday inn during a business trip. The room and service was good. The room was clean and comfortable although it seemed a little outdated they're doing renovations so hopefully that will help. However these reservations caused the fire alarm to trip and go off periodically between 11p-2a. Not a very restful nights sleep at all prior to a business meeting. The front desk was unresponsive during that time which was incredibly frustrating in addition to the piercing alarm for 4 hours. With all the nearby hotels I would suggest staying elsewhere for a restful nights sleep until renovations are complete. read more

I've basically been living in this hotel the past few weeks while on business. This is by far the nicest Holiday Inn Express I've ever stayed in. It's a fairly new hotel. All rooms are spacious and feature flat-screen tv, microwave, and fridge. The staff is amazing. I'm often greeted by name, and have always had any concern quickly addressed. I have stayed here twice now with my cat while she is a patient at Ohio State Vet Hospital. I have made reservations to stay here for her next 4 appointments. They have 24 hour fitness center and laundry, which is great. It is close to shopping, restaurants, and grocery. The rooms have been clean and well kept. It has been very quiet both stays, which my cat and I appreciate. The breakfast is typical very good Holiday Inn Express, but was out of OJ this morning. The clerk at check in was very professional, helpful, and friendly. I love HI Express and this is another great one. ETA... even though Google maps says it takes around 22-25 minutes to get to OSU Vet Hospital, you should actually give yourself closer to 45 in the morning. read more

Very clean hotel. The free breakfast buffet had a great variety. There was a youth soccer tournament in town that weekend so there was a bunch of kids running up and down the halls throughout the evening but that falls on parents not the hotel. You will be charged $20 per room for incidentals when you check in and the balance will be refunded a few days after check out. This was never mentioned at any point during check in and we had 2 rooms. It's been 2 days now and it's still pending so we'll see how long that actually takes to be refunded. This is a reasonably priced hotel with a lot of nice little perks! Great hot breakfast with real eggs, bacon and pancakes. I used the fitness room both mornings. The treadmills and eliptical machine are updated. There are also weights and yoga mats avalible, along with fresh towels and a water cooler. Free wi-fi, and even a buisness room with computers and printer, which my coworkers and I used to work on our presentation. I appreciated the complementary bath and body works toiletries in my room, along with the fresh cookies in lobby in the afternoons. The pool and hot tub looked decent, although as I was here on buisness did not have time to use. A special side note, during breakfast a few Japanese and korean foods were avalible. I'm not sure if this was for a specific group, or typical. I do know my Korean in-laws would have greatly appreciated it. read more

Stayed one night on 9/22/16. Restrooms not clean. Tinkle spots on the floor. Lots of scuffs and scrapes on the walls and corners that would easily be touched up with a little effort. They put a deposit hold on my credit card that they said they removed at check out but it took two weeks of calls to corporate to get that done. IHG is my hotel of choice but i would advise not staying at this one. read more

They made a mistake by charging the wrong credit card at check in and when I went back to get it fixed and wanted an explanation I could understand, the staff went to call the GM and told the GM she was being "fought against" in front of me. I recently stayed at this hotel and was pleasantly surprised. I have stayed at older Holiday Inns and Holiday Inn Expresses. I was thoroughly shocked at how well the interior looked. It was modernly decorated, very inviting and clean. When I checked in, the staff was very helpful and found them easy to talk to; whether it was asking about a good restaurant close by and getting directions to Downtown Columbus. The room I stayed in was wonderful. Very spacious, had microwave and fridge in the room, and my king room had a walk in shower in the bathroom. I will definitely stay here when I travel back to Columbus for work and am recommending to all my collegues to stay there for the simple fact that the staff was wonderful and the entire hotel is inviting. read more

Not the place to stay. First off there was dried urine on the seat when we arrived to our room. Along with that the 3 ladies working there Randi, Mng-Teri and GM- Christina were rude and very un-professional (especially Randi). Quiet time is apparently 9pm even for the adults which is unheard of, and even though we were not being loud they made us go out to the parking lot to hang out. We were there for soccer which they knew, we told them we had never been treated like that at any hotel we have stayed in before it was ridiculous. They should not reserve to teams if they don't want people to be hanging out in the lobby. Once they knew about our concerns they chose to delete our reviews from their site and they called our booking agent and filed a complaint about us as revenge..... I guess. Clean, quiet and the lady at the front desk was awesome. I travel for business and I love this area every time I come.

This place is great. From the moment we walked in the staff was friendly and helpful and the building (inside and out) was clean and well maintained. Staff at the front desk checked us in quickly and asked what the reason for our visit was. Once we told them they gave us some info on it and we had a pleasant chat! They offered us some great, close options for dinner. The pool was clean and perfect temperature although the hot tub was not working (never was fixed but when we went to the front desk they sent someone immediately to try and fix it to no avail). Breakfast (and second breakfast with our late risers!) was delicious and had much more than most continental breakfast buffets offer (eggs, meat, pancakes, cinnamon rolls, Asian options, etc.). The manager made her rounds throughout breakfast and let us know we could buy discounted zoo tickets at their desk (which we did). This made our trip cheaper and more convenient. All-in-all it was a great stay that we will definitely be doing again! read more

I recently traveled to Dublin, Ohio to celebrate a friend's wedding. It was an old college buddy of mine and a few of us from college were invited. It had been a while since the gang had gotten together. The hotel manager, Russel tried to ruin our trip from the get go. We had booked our room under the wedding party and some how they managed to screw up our reservation date and try to charge us a late fee. There was another big group staying at the hotel. Dublin must have been hosting a youth girls soccer tournament and they all stayed at the Holiday Inn Express as well. Now anyone with any amount of common sense would put the two parties on opposite sides of the hotel. Naturally Russel decided to book every other room a wedding party room followed by a girls soccer team room. Obviously the girls needed to get too bed early and be up early. Simultaneously we were there to have a good time. Subsequently there were a few minor disturbances leading Russel to throw the blame our way, although all the blame should have been on him and the shitty ass paper thin walls. We had about 10 people in our room drinking beers and listening to music on a laptop and were told that if we didn't keep it down that we'd be thrown out. I expressed to Russel my concerns that if he kicked us out we would have to drive drunk to the next hotel and whatever happened to us or innocent bystanders would be on him. The police were called and they determined that we did nothing wrong and quickly left. We were then harassed by one of the soccer moms but didn't feel the need to stoop to her level and call Russel. We simply told her that we were there for our friends wedding and that we were sorry that Russel put her in a room next to us. We suggested that Russel move her to another room. Additionally the housecleaning did not change our sheets like they were supposed to. We were very upset with the experience at this hotel. That being said we did have a great weekend and didn't let Russel ruin it for us. Congratulations to the bride and groom. Russel I hope you get fired. read more

I've never been to a hotel where house keeping comes and wakes you up at 8:40 in the morning. The fire alarm goes of at random times and the beds are very uncomfortable. They lie about the pool being heated because when I got in it was freezing even after 20 minutes of swimming. Also the breakfast is obviously mass-produced by machines and reheated and is cold by the time you eat it. This was one of the worst places I've ever stayed at. read more
