Sadly my $35 for a mani/pedi/tip could have been much better spent elsewhere. At first, I was happy to see a clean spacious salon with what looked like a good selection of colors. However, 90% of their colors were some variation of red. They also didn't carry Essie which is my preferred brand of polish. There was only 1 other customer in the salon so I got seated right away. A nice lady started on my toes while another one began on my fingers. She filed my nails and then started to apply the polish. I asked if she was going to soak and cut my cuticles - the works and what one would expect to be done when getting a manicure. It turns out that was an extra $5 on top of the $25 mani/pedi price. This was suspect to me though because the lady working on my feet was already performing those services without letting me know it was an extra charge. (Plus isnt that the whole point of getting a manicure? If I wanted to just file my nails and apply color, i'd do that myself at home!) This salon doesn't use a base coat - just 3 coats of the color and then a top coat. Once they were all done, the ladies joined the other manicurists at the back of the salon where they all proceeded to have lunch. So there i was, the only customer in the salon, still sitting in the pedi chair waiting for my nails to dry while about 6 manicurists were eating their lunch off to the side. Talk about awkward. In my opinion, save your money for another salon. You may even get a cheaper meal and have the chance to dry your mails under a fan versus just sitting idly out in the open. read more

Gel polish chipped off on day two. Went back, they repainted my nails. Next day they chipped again. Went back in and they wanted to charge me $25 to fix the polish. NEVER going back. I've been using gel polish for years and haven't ever had problems with chipping. Bad customer service to boot. I'll pass. read more

DO NOT get your acrylics here. (This was pre-covid.) I'd come here for simple mani-pedis and polish before and was satisfied. A little while ago I decided on acrylics, and immediately regretted them. The man who shaped my nails made them lumpy, uneven in length, and filed into different shapes. They looked ridiculous, and I went and got them removed at another salon within hours. read more

I stopped by here the other day to get my nails done after my normal place was closed. Will never go back! I came in to get my previous gel removed and a new gel manicure. After sitting for 20 minutes with acetone on my fingers, the lady came to remove the polish but they hadn't been buffed enough prior to the acetone so with her scraper the gel was barely coming off. She proceeded to peel it off in chunks taking a layer of my nails with her. When she was done my nails were so bubbled up and flaking all over! She then couldn't put gel straight onto such a messed up nail surface so she dremel filed the tops of my nails. Even with the new gel on which looks fine my nails feel paper thin now. Will take months of protein and thickening treatments to fix this and I'm so scared to see how thin they will be when I get this set of gel off. Add on that the tools were not sanitary or clean and looked crusty and gross. DO NOT GO HERE! I should have gotten up and left the second she started peeling gel straight off my fingers incorrectly. read more

I love this shop... I'm military so it was hard for me to find a place that does natural looking nails that are not bulky and are with in regulation but still look really good. It's also not a tiny cramped up shop like most of the other shops in the area. It quickly became "my shop" after trying out several others in the area. read more

The staff at Holly's Nails are very nice and friendly. The Pedicures are the best I've ever had. I've been going to Holly's Nails for several years now and I have never had a bad experience. Best time to go is on a Monday or Tuesday, rarely a wait on either day. They massage your legs and feet for at least 10 minutes per leg/foot, so relaxing & their chairs give the best back and butt massage! read more

Most of the times here I've had great experiences with getting acrylics, but this last time I went the lady answered the phone a minimum of 10 times while doing my nails (even though they had another lady working there just walking around) and rushed through them. I ended up with glue all over the ends of my finger nails that took forever to put on. read more

They where very quick and efficient on my nails. I got a basic full set acrylic . My issue is that the pricing says $20-$30 for a full set and I was charged $35. I didn't get anything special , no designs , regular polish. I'll be spending my money else where if I'm going to spend that much I expect gel or designs at least. read more

Went in for a gel manicure on my lunch break. They were able to get me right in and out which was great... Unfortunately, I can't say I was very impressed at how clean it was in there. There was dust everywhere (nail/skin particles? Gross) and the uv machine was disgusting... I didn't want to touch it at all, especially in the parts I couldn't see (inside). I was surprised when she said I was finished and I could still see the white ends of my natural nails underneath the polish (I did choose a light color, but I have gone lighter at other salons and had much better results). My last disappointment is that I paid $25 for a gel manicure that started chipping five days later. I could have saved myself $10 by getting a normal manicure with the same results and no touching dirty equipment. read more

First and last time that I will come here. The lady who did my pedicure was very rude. Every time I tried to speak to her about what I wanted, she would speak over me, as of I've never had a good pedicure before. She painted three coats, but she didn't let the coats dry in between, so the polish looked uneven and sloppy. She even painted a clear top coat over the wet polish...wth? Who does that....? I guess I will stick with Seattle nail shops, since it's easier to find one with good costumer service. read more

Today (7/9/2013) was the first time I went to Holly's nails. I took my two cousins with me to get a pedicure and a manicure. I scheduled an appointment at 3 o'clock three hours ahead of time. Once we got there they had about five people waiting, and were working on two. They made us wait no less then thirty minuets for the pedicure, and forty for the manicure. Then another group of women of about 6 came in ten minuets after us saying they had scheduled a Pedi at 3:30 and just started getting worked on when we had left which was about 4:15. I gave Holly's two stars because the manicure was done alright, but the pedicure was awful. I do not recommend! read more

They only get 1 start cause they shape my nails nice and even and that's the only good thing. Every time I get acrylics from here the break a week later and I'm not doing anything to make them break. ex: putting a baseball cap on, brushing my hair, doing the dishes. I've been to other places and have done active things and they don't break. Also when I want to take them off they won't come off, I try to tear them and soak them in nail polish remover and it still takes a couple hours when it shouldn't. This is the worst nail salon I've ever visited. As a man finding a nail salon that is courteous, respectful and professional is important to me. I get hangnails that I can't get out on my own so I visit a nail salon about once every 6 months. I walked in the door and asked if they offered buffing instead of nail polish. They had a problem understanding what buffing nails meant. Excuse me but you are a nail salon and buffing is a base technique. The workers chatted noisily about me, in a foreign language, indicating my direction, going between each other to make additional comments and giggling/laughing. Finally one woman said to come sit down, I still tried to get an answer on buffing but she just nodded her head and said yes. The experience just kept getting worse and they did a piss poor job to boot. And when it finally came down to it they don't do buffing. Avoid this place. Even several women who were there said they'd never be back. read more

We've been here before and had better service. They've always been so pleasant. :) Unfortunately this last time, they seemed short staffed and rushing. I had 2 different people working on me, taking turns and switching off between the two of them. Some of my nails are the same size on both hands but there are a few nails that are way larger on one hand, than on the other, width/shape wise. By the time I had gotten home, I realized there was something white all over my fingers that was dried on and I had to scrub off my fingers. Also my finger nails are now very sensitive. I feel like they sanded them way too much. I even told the person at one point that it hurt. Also, while sanding down the acrylic nails, they slipped and cut my finger with the sander. They can go so fast and do so well, but this time seemed way too rushed and I think the slip could have been avoided. Again, they are so wonderful and kind there, but I don't know that I will be going back. My finger nails just seem way to sensitive. Normally when you bang your hands on something, it doesn't hurt, if at all. But when you smash your finger, it can throb for a while. Well, when I bang (on accident of course) my fingers on something, it sometimes throbs for up to 10 minutes, as if I had smashed them. Just doesn't seem right. Did not have this issue the last time I had nails put on. Which was also at the same location. I have only had my nails done 3 times ever. Once was almost 20 years ago, and then twice in the last month at Holly's Nails. read more
