I was told she doesn't do designs but I needed them done. True to word it was basic but still good service. Fast forward to Sunday,, one of my nails cracked in the worst place ever. I went back. Greeted the moment I walked through the door. I explained what happened and I honestly couldn't remember the lady that did my nails. I was told to have a seat. I don't know the name of the lady that assisted me today but she's and Eagles fan She asked what shape did I want as my nails were more almond shaped than stiletto.. Not only did she repair the broken nail but she reshaped and relished all of my nails. In the end she didn't charge me a dime. Of course I walk around with no cash. I left ran an errand and came back with a tip. The first thing she said when I walked back through the door is you don't have to do that. I said to her neither did you. I walked into this place, and they weren't ready at the moment but asked me to come back in about 40 minutes, which was not a problem because I was hungry and needed to get food anyway. They were only two people working in there, and both seemed really nice. And they were using Amazon music to play some amazing tunes. Amazon music is my jam! I didn't get the name of the person, but it was a relaxing experience overall. The temperature was perfect for my feet, but it was extra extra foamy. It wasn't a problem for me personally, but I felt bad about it getting on the seats, it came that high haha. And here I liked that I didn't have to move to a table for the manicure portion! It made it truly feel like a spa experience. The job was great, but later on I realized that some cuticles were handled a little more roughly than others. But she said she was having some serious pain with her hands. Hope she feels better! Anyways, I would return, because I overall like the vibe of this place better than my usual spot.

The other tech said yes. The person working on me started to speak another language. After further inspection, all of my toes have the same bleed. Rather than redo them all I opted not to have them all done. Is it really so hard to polish toes and not file off your cuticle beds to correct the mistake?

The male nail tech seems disgruntled and is low vibrational. The last 3 times he did my nails they either chipped, smudged or 1 nail completed fell off. It's a shame because he has potential to be an excellent nail tech if he can put his ego to the side and learn how to serve his clients. After giving me a new nail set at my last fill in appointment he told me my next appointment will be a new set: I told him no way. They seem to view their clients as walking ATMs--it's an uncomfortable feeling: They constantly badger you to do new sets, gel mani-pedis or expensive "spa" pedicures even after you've told them specifically the kind of services you want/prefer--it's more "them" focused than client focused. Btw,I was never thanked for my $20-$25 tips --ever. This last appointment took the cake--nail tech dude nicked my skin with his super sharp nail tool and blamed MY skin for "growing too close to the nail". This happened after leaving me under the fan for 15 minutes while he enjoyed a phone conversation right in front of me--so I knew it was because he wasn't paying attention--he seems resentful of his customers and unhappy to do this kind of work. When I arrived for my appointment (no such thing really because they treat everyone as a walk-in) he and a young girl didn't move to seat me, I had to ask them if they were working today in order to mobilize them--mind you I was the only customer. Located in Capital Heights, at my first appointment, it was kind of hard to spot. Be aware of the parking, as some of the spots are assigned. Upon walking in, use the door on the right to access the nail salon. Appointments are made online, and Tenecia prefers that appointments are made at the half hour only. No problems there. Nice selection of colors to choose from, and the place is clean. I noticed that Tenecia takes the time to clean the bowl in between clients, which I totally dig. Also, she uses new new tools, like emery boards, and buffers for each person. My first appointment was a gel mani (with designs of course) and a pedi. Let me tell you, it was one of thee best pedicures that I have EVER had. She is absolutely excellent at what she does. I loved the gel manicure as well, because she actually does a manicure; you know soaks the hands, trims the cuticles, massage, and the like. She totally takes her time. My nails were shaped beautifully, and they actually grew! Woop! My only issue, is that my mani didn't last as long as I would have expected, but that could totally be me, because I'm super hard on my nails. Oh, another plus is that she totally accommodated me (in between clients) when I chipped my toe...see uber hard on my nails. However, it wasn't crowded, so I think it wouldn't be a problem. Also I wasn't positive as to how to book nail designs, but Tenicia explained with no problem and now I know what to do when scheduling. Even with this, she was still able to accommodate me within my appointment time. I really appreciated that. I read a few reviews about Tenicia's attitude, but I didn't have an issue. She wasn't talkative, but I wasn't really looking for that. She came off as professional and cordial and that was perfectly acceptable in my book. I really enjoyed the service and the work was awesome. The work was fast, but high quality.
