They should not be looking like this after 3 days!

Horrible customer service! Do not go here! I had my nails done on 4/30/2023 and they were clearly not done right with acrylic not reaching my cuticles and you can see my natural nail at the base but the only option they gave me to fix them was to file them more. The next day they already looked two weeks old! I'm back on 5/3/2023 They are clearly lifting up to half way up my nail and they are telling me it's because of washing my hands and the only thing they will do is put glue under it. Crazy! I have never seen people that care less. I would give zero stars if I could!!!! Time and money wasted smh

I am only giving them 2 stars because the lady that do eyebrows always gets me right. I got a gel pedicure Tuesday and it is now Thursday. I can't remember the guy who did it but I thought he was doing a regular nail clip but my feet was hurting the day after. The way this man clipped my nail bed wrong and exposed my skin. My toes still hurt and I won't be returning. I will probably have to wait until my nails grow back properly to get them done again.

Hit or miss...... there's only one person who is worth going to.....smh. I came at the end of the day and got a rush job on my nails. If he didn't feel like doing them, he should've just said no.

I would give 0 stars if I could. Rude and dirty. Refused to do my nails with 18 minutes until closing. Eddie removed the tips another male technician applied and he did wrong. I told him I wanted natural nail tips he did coffin. I requested they remove and fix. They refused to do a full set because I would not let the cut the shape they wanted. Horrible service. Smells like smoke dirty environment. Dirty nail brushes and cheap supplies. I stopped by on a whim to get my nails done and will never come here again. Don't waste your time it money

Two days after did nothing . NO Manual labor HORRIBLE HORRIBLE SAVE YOUR MONEY LADIES!!

Don't go!! oct 14 walked into the nail shop everyone is lounging, sleep, or watching tv. me and my cousin were bridesmaids in a wedding and needed are nails done the same color. first i got a full set the man was very rude and i got a bad vibe that made me want to leave but i stayed because one i had a day til the wedding and it was friday so by time i would've left other places would be booked up. so i continued he did my nails crooked and i had to tell him to do it again because of it. he yanks the nail right off not gently or anything as if no glue was applied hurt so bad. then proceeds to argue about how long i wanted my nails and kept hitting my fingers telling me to relax but his drilling of nails was painful and on the skin most of the time. he tried to fix his crooked mistakes with drilling and filing which still i had to give direction. ( i have had my nails done too many times not to know how they do nails) finally finished all that error construction he sees other customers yells for me to pick a color in which i already said i wanted the same color as my cousin but he wasn't having it. he passed me off to this older lady who paints nails really good so didn't understand why she didn't do my nails from the beginning. i should've went to my normal nail salon but thought this was convenient to where i was headed. Biigggggggggggg Mistake!!!!!!! my cousin got a gel color manicure and it was slopping and bumpy not good at all as if a child was learning to do nails. we both left mad and trust we will never come back‼my full set was crap and didn't even last past two days on my nails... do not go on convenience go to quality. cheap cheap cheap

They just rearranged the booths in here. But they're fast and I haven't had any problems yet so they're cool with me.

Me and my mother went to 4 shops and did not get services and waited almost 30 mins at all shops. Came here it was a lil busy be it was evening. But got services in 10 mins and was out in less than an hour!

Re-fill only
Mary L.

Decided to stop by for a quick re-fill during my lunch hour. The place is located in a weird kind of shady shopping center. The place didn't look very clean, and they only had 3 people working, given that it was a slow day. My refill was done within 20 minutes if... I appreciated the quick service since I was in a hurry to go back to my office (however they didn't know this). The attention to detail was really poor. The paint job wasn't done well and they even left a piece of nail polish brush hair stuck in one of my nails. The price was the same as other nail salons. Not sure if I would come back.

Never had a gel manicure so horrible! Very upset! Only a few days old, peeling, not smooth and flooded cuticles!!! Very Messy!!!

It shouldn't be this hard to get, and keep my nails done…read more Most of the nail technicians in here are (artistically) talented, however it's SO HARD to make an appointment. I have shared my concerns with the owner and asked her to implement an online scheduling system. She expressed reservations due to the fact that customers may not know what they want, booking one service online and then coming in expecting another. It's a shame to have such a valuable and sought-after product, but simultaneously making it so difficult for customers to get their hands on that product. Booking an appointment has become somewhat of a guessing game. I give them a date and a time of my desired appointment. They tell me that my preferred nail tech is not available, but NEVER say UNTIL WHEN. So I throw out another date. Same thing: Not available. On and on it goes. Instead of providing me with options (namely, telling me the next available date for my preferred nail tech, or other nail techs who have availability at that same day and time), they repeat what they don't have available, or ask me to blindly pick another nail tech that I've never worked with (I don't even know their names because I've never worked with them, so how can I be expected to pick them?). So I'm expected to be both psychic and memorize the roster of the staff here... Just to get an appointment?! In order to book appointments I had to call multiple times over multiple days until someone was able to give me enough information to book an appointment, reach out to the owner on Instagram, and even drive all the way to the nail salon.... JUST TO MAKE AN APPOINTMENT. I tried to make an appointment prior to the holidays before everything got booked up. Myself and another customer stood in line for at least 20 minutes in a practically empty nail salon while the owner's mother did someone's nails before she finally addressed us. Even then, she only handed us a register paper and told us to write down what services we wanted and when we wanted to come in, telling us that someone would call us to confirm (which never happened, by the way). We could have saved a lot of time if she had just asked us to do that and leave the paper on the counter while she finished her customer. After waiting 3 days, I finally called the salon and was told that they did not have my appointment request. Not surprising, given that it was scribbled on a piece of receipt paper that was given to me. Somebody probably threw away thinking that it was trash without following up. I tried to book my next two appointments to avoid this headache and was told that in order to book an appointment with my preferred nail tech, I now have to follow her on social media and DM her to try to book an appointment with her there. REALLY?! Instead of scraps of paper, or having to stalk somebody on Instagram, why not keep an old school appointment book, or even one online? It's really not that hard. These nail techs are also not great with time management. Many of my appointments have had to be rescheduled... For the middle of my work day. (Thank goodness for remote work) One of the (now former) nail techs completely forgot about my appointment and passed me off to somebody else without even acknowledging me or her oversight. Another nail tech pressured me into making an appointment earlier than I wanted, only for her to show up 45 minutes after the appointed time. No phone call, no update, no communication whatsoever. Just me sitting there wondering if this was another canceled appointment that they forgot to communicate to me. I say "another" because I had an appointment with the same technician that she canceled, but the salon did not leave me a message to let me know. The only way I found out is because I wanted to add something onto my existing appointment and when I called the salon, I was told that I no longer had an appointment because that person decided not to work that day. In addition to horrendous time management and the hoops you have to jump through to get an appointment, the nail retention is also poor... And ultimately that's why I chose to get my services done elsewhere. Like I said, artistically some of these nail techs do a good job, but in terms of actual quality of work... Not so much. I tried to make it work, because finding a new nail salon can be a pain. However, I started experiencing substantial lifting of my nails after practically every appointment. At one point, I even developed nail fungus under my acrylic, which one of the nail techs ignored completely and just covered with acrylic, and another who tried to tell me "That's not nail fungus, it's bacteria". Whatever it is, it's not supposed to be under my nails... And it wouldn't be if the work was done correctly. Aesthetically, this is one of the nicer looking nail salons in the area, but looks are deceiving. This salon presents a lot of challenges from a booking, customer service, and quality of work perspective.

Good pics on Yelp, poor communication and treatment/ hospitality…read more. I called to schedule an appointment to ensure they had time for me and they answered yes. I walked in, was rushed to pick a color instead of greeted. Said I could grab some water, which was nice. The mumbling in Viet started as soon as I sat down, could really make you feel out of place. (Just because someone doesn't know the language doesn't mean they don't hear the tone and can pick up on context.) Cut me twice, apologized, and a couple other hiccups that I won't bother to mention. She lightened up throughout time, but I may have to give it a second thought before going again.. I still tipped well because the actual nails came out good. (My total ~$96.00)Not to my like, as she was not easy to tell what I wanted done. Lady came in right to the end of my service with an appointment, and needed to get acetone removed from her hands that lady doing my nails had wrapped in foil and said, "excuse me- can you--" (I'm sure her hands were either hurting or were uncomfortable), and lady doing my nails interrupted her loudly in front of the whole salon, to say she's almost done with me. I felt terrible for her since she had an appointment on top of that. The fact that there's a lot of competitors for you (Nova nails) should push you to improve in timing and care with how you talk to clients and be careful about what you say you can and can not do for a service. I'm still looking for a place that is both well at communicating with clients, and has the skill set for an awesome set. Please remember to treat people kindly. How you make someone feel is really important.

Also I hit regular fell on my nails one time and the person didn't take all of the previous builder fell off before painting over it and that chipped in two days. The male nail tech seems disgruntled and is low vibrational. The last 3 times he did my nails they either chipped, smudged or 1 nail completed fell off. It's a shame because he has potential to be an excellent nail tech if he can put his ego to the side and learn how to serve his clients. After giving me a new nail set at my last fill in appointment he told me my next appointment will be a new set: I told him no way. They seem to view their clients as walking ATMs--it's an uncomfortable feeling: They constantly badger you to do new sets, gel mani-pedis or expensive "spa" pedicures even after you've told them specifically the kind of services you want/prefer--it's more "them" focused than client focused. Btw,I was never thanked for my $20-$25 tips --ever. This last appointment took the cake--nail tech dude nicked my skin with his super sharp nail tool and blamed MY skin for "growing too close to the nail". This happened after leaving me under the fan for 15 minutes while he enjoyed a phone conversation right in front of me--so I knew it was because he wasn't paying attention--he seems resentful of his customers and unhappy to do this kind of work. When I arrived for my appointment (no such thing really because they treat everyone as a walk-in) he and a young girl didn't move to seat me, I had to ask them if they were working today in order to mobilize them--mind you I was the only customer. That said, I won't be back. I'm big on customer service and positive energy and I pay well for it, but it's not to be found there.

Located in Capital Heights, at my first appointment, it was kind of hard to spot. Be aware of the parking, as some of the spots are assigned. Upon walking in, use the door on the right to access the nail salon. Appointments are made online, and Tenecia prefers that appointments are made at the half hour only. No problems there. Nice selection of colors to choose from, and the place is clean. I noticed that Tenecia takes the time to clean the bowl in between clients, which I totally dig. Also, she uses new new tools, like emery boards, and buffers for each person. My first appointment was a gel mani (with designs of course) and a pedi. Let me tell you, it was one of thee best pedicures that I have EVER had. She is absolutely excellent at what she does. I loved the gel manicure as well, because she actually does a manicure; you know soaks the hands, trims the cuticles, massage, and the like. She totally takes her time. My nails were shaped beautifully, and they actually grew! Woop! My only issue, is that my mani didn't last as long as I would have expected, but that could totally be me, because I'm super hard on my nails. Oh, another plus is that she totally accommodated me (in between clients) when I chipped my toe...see uber hard on my nails. No matter here though; because, my services were done well, and it is fairly priced. I will definitely be returning.

Since slots fill up fast, I went ahead and booked for the rest of the year. I needed to find somewhere that was preferably black owned since the other place I found took entirely too long. The parking is very limited and the lot is kind of tight. There's a parking lot on the other side, so I parked there and walked the short distance over. The inside of the shop isn't very big. However, it wasn't crowded, so I think it wouldn't be a problem. Also I wasn't positive as to how to book nail designs, but Tenicia explained with no problem and now I know what to do when scheduling. Even with this, she was still able to accommodate me within my appointment time. I really appreciated that. I read a few reviews about Tenicia's attitude, but I didn't have an issue. She wasn't talkative, but I wasn't really looking for that. She came off as professional and cordial and that was perfectly acceptable in my book. I really enjoyed the service and the work was awesome. The work was fast, but high quality.
