I was in the neighborhood so stopped in for a quick basic manicure since I was resting my nails before the next dipping powder manicure at my usual salon. My nails looked worse when I left than they did when I came in. They were ragged and uneven. She didn't ask me what shape I wanted or if I liked it. I told her twice that they weren't smooth or neat and she would pick up the file and barely do anything and then charged me $15. My nails look terrible and all I asked was for the very basic treatment. I can't imagine what it would look like if I came in for my monthly dipping powder and design. My pedicure experience went fine. The problem I had was with the nail tech that did my gel full set. She started off nice enough but when it came time to design, it all went down hill. Before she actually painted my nails, I used the restroom. After washing my hands, I used one of the rags that were provided. I never heard the end of how much "hair" I had on my hands afterwards. I even offered to rinse them again since the tech insisted that my hands were " too hairy". I don't have hairy hands. I showed her the design I wanted but chose coffin nails & the nude pink instead of clear powder. When I noticed she was using an extremely thin brush to paint the blue & lime green, I told her I thought there were some mistakes (it looked streaky because of the thin brush). She kept yelling & saying that since l kept looking at my nails, I was messing them up. Which wasn't true but since she took over 2 hours, I was tired of trying to correct her mistakes. In the end, I hate my nails but the tech was so rude and very loud. I knew that if she threw her hands up in the air at me again, I'd flip. So I chose to pay & I tried to tip (she did spend a lot of time struggling through this basic design) but she told me it was too late to tip and rudely walked away abruptly with her hands up. I returned before driving off, after noticing how much worse my hands looked in sunlight. I asked the owners to give me a new tech but the owner made the nail tech attempt to fix it. I explained to the owner that the tech wasn't very nice & I was uncomfortable with any further interaction between us. She didn't care, she put me back in her station. Afterwards, my nails were still horrible & she used a totally different lime green on my ring finger this time. I'm so disappointed that I paid $65 for this monstrosity since it was nothing even close to what I asked for! I had a BEAUTIFUL PEDICURE EXPERIENCE followed by a horrific start to my fill in! My pedicurist was a young lady named TiTi. She paid attention to detail and she didn't rush through the service. She was patient as I chose my color and design. She did my spa service wonderfully! I GIVE HER 5-STARS . The next paragraph was written as I waited for TiTi to finish with her next nail appointment. She was gentle and did not cause harm to my nail. TiTi is the bomb!!! So... where was I... right... Midway through my hot towel service, a lady yells across at me "Hey you. You want nails too!" I didn't realize she was talking to me so I paid her no mind. She yelled again "Hello Babyyyyyy. You want nails right? [I look up] Then come here" WAS SHE BLIND? My legs were wrapped with a hot towel! Another nail tech comes over to help unwrap my legs and put slippers on my feet. She was so busy TALKING ON THE PHONE that she herself couldn't come over to me and help me out of the hot towels (STRIKE 1). (STRIKE 2) As I sit down I realize that she was FaceTiming another nail tech in another salon. She said to me "you're in a hurry. I do nails for you." I tell her ," please take your time!" Does she? OF COURSE NOT! (STRIKE 3) She hurries the drill. Doesn't ask me what I want. While folding off the acrylic, she comes across one nail that needed new acrylic and proceeds to pull out the case with her nail tips. You know the plastic tips that they wedge between your nail and the acrylic to pop off your nail. Again I urge her to take her time!!! Does she? OF COURSE NOT!!! She hurries to pick out a tip and swipe between my nail to pop off the acrylic. This pain hurt so bad, it get like stubbing your pinky toe! I yell "PLEASE TAKE YOUR TIME THAT HURT LIKE HELL!" She brushes off an apologizes then does the it again. But this time SHE DAMANGED THE INTEGRITY OF MY NAIL PLATE. So instead of my needing just a fill in with my natural nails, I have to get a tip put on. I am furious! I'm over it. TiTi will be the ONLY ONE DOING MY NAILS! read more

First thing they yell out is "cash only!!" when you enter. Second thing we heard was them yelling at customer "this is nail salon, if you need cleaner go to hospital". That customer was very nice about it. They don't respect the neighborhood or clientele, and it comes across very racist. There are too many decent nail places for this level of ignorance. I went a few times in past years ago and stopped, now I remember why. I got dragged by friend this one last time but I wouldn't let them touch my nails after the tone set when we arrived. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER! I was getting a fill in this afternoon and there was plenty of open stations so I had my daughter sit right next to me. My daughter had headphones in and was watching my phone and this technician with the short blond Afro (pictured) SNATCHED the chair my 6 YEAR OLD CHILD was sitting on. She dragged that chair to another customer despite there being numerous other empty chairs. I was appalled and asked her if she could get my child another chair since she snatched that one from her. She refused and said my child could do it herself. I come to this place every once in awhile since it's close to where I live. It really is just okay. They always seem to rush while doing your nails. Today was no exception and it wasn't even that busy. I've only had 2 techs do a good job on my nails. Tim was one and the other is the First Lady when you walk in to your left. The others are mediocre at best. The tech today did a sloppy job and even though I politely asked her not to cut my cuticles she did so anyway. The. She sloppily painted my nails. And cut them and shaped them differently. I have 4 square nails and 1 oval shaped on one hand. And 2 round and 3 square on the other. Needless to say I need to find another local spot. read more

It's been a long time since I've been to this salon as I don't live in the general area. I needed a pedicure and since I was taking care of business near there I decided to stop by. It wasn't very crowded, something I was happy about. I picked my color and took a seat for about 7 minutes. I was then called to the massage chair for my feet to soak. I was under the impression that the person who prepared my foot soak was the one who would do my feet, but another young lady took a seat. I'm usually leary in these situations because you end up getting the new person whose just learning and oftentimes isn't that great. After about 5 minutes of working on my feet, I asked the young lady her name because she didn't offer it upon sitting down. She said it was Mina and I took note. I must say that I wasn't disappointed at the pedicure or the foot massage that was given. I didn't opt for designs this time because I wanted to see how good were her pedicure skills. I must say she took her time and made sure my toes were trimmed and buffed properly. Most likely I will be back, especially since I can make an appointment. read more

This salon has been declining since I posted my tip a few months ago. I no longer patronize Anna (nail tech) after she messed up my nails in late December and tried to charge me $15 to redo the gel polish when I came back to have them fixed a few days later. I had a light pink gel polish on my nails (not the first time) and about a day later I started seeing dirty bubbles forming inside of the gel (making the nail color appear spotted). It was told to me by another nail tech that she improperly cured the gel, used another brand's top coat (which may have not meshed well with the brand she was using), or may have diluted either of the gel polishes (they do this to get more bang for their buck). Either way when I returned to have her fix them, she made it seem like it was MY fault and that I needed to pay to have them fixed. I told her to remove the polish and that I would go elsewhere and that it was also a shame for her to lose a customer over $15 (when I've tipped her more than $150 since June of last year and have given her more than $700 in earnings - eyebrows, toes and nails since then as well). I have been going to Anna since June 2015 and it is sad to say that I may have to find another nail salon home. I've patronized the manager a few times since then (who also moonlights as a nail tech). She's the half black/half Vietnamese woman who sits at the front. My issue with her is that she rushes and does a sloppy job on my nails (leaving gel on the sides of my nails and cuticles, not polishing the entire nail, nails not looking shiny after application, and just has an overall forced nature [grabbing and jerking my hands all around in whatever position that suits her]). Today may have been that last straw that broke the camel's back. Their prices are the only thing that draws me back to them from time to time, but I will be testing out new salons in the area to patronize. read more

The first time I visited this nail salon I did have a pleasant experience. However, my second encounter with Rose Nails on 8/31/2015 was the opposite of that. I requested a pedicure and the technician seemed knowledgable and friendly enough...at first. That quickly changed when half way into the pedicure she began digging and scraping down in my nail cuticle. Of course this hurt and I pulled my foot away and said ouch, to which she replied, "It's ok, I almost got it." I guess she was referring to an ingrown toenail. Again she went to that area of my foot and then pulled something out roughly. Anytime during the pedicure when I mentioned to her that I didn't like something she responded with a variation of,"I know what I am doing." I was left in pain which increased over the course of a several days. Fast forward a week later (Labor Day), I could barely walk on my foot and the toe was inflamed and oozing. Infection. I spent four hours in the ER. I am now in an orthopedic shoe, on two separate antibiotics and a prescription pain medication. Today, I went back to the nail salon and spoke with the manager and I took my hospital paperwork with me. Initially, she tried to tell me that infections "just happen sometimes" and have even happened to her. Uhh.... Eventually she did contact the owner and they reimbursed my ER costs in addition to the cost of that awful pedicure. Positively, I will say that I do appreciate the shop's response. These days people are so quick to go on the defensive when they feel accused and those who feel they have been wronged are so quick to want to sue establishments. I would love to give this establishment no stars. Beware: i came here three times. The lady who sits 2nd booth from front door where nail polish and hand display was my tech. Time # 1 cool - great job Time #2- so but loved yellow polish. So so because when I left polish on my thumb buckled. Had to return Saturday for polish change. Time #3 yesterday. I came in chose metallic polish. In prepping my hands. She filed a corner of my nail off. When ,,I brought it to her attention, she says " I did not do that." Came here for the first time based on Yelp reviews. As soon as I arrived, I was able to be seen and was in and out in 45 minutes. I got a fill-in with gel done by one of the male techs (I didn't get his name). He really took his time on my nails, and even got rid of the excess from a previous nail visit at a different salon. I was highly impressed with the quality and price of a fill-in ($20). The only thing I wish they had was a greater selection of gel colors. Went in on a Tuesday to have nail repaired (it split) and the male who "tried" to repair my nail did an absolute sloppy job. I've had nails split before and I don't know who taught him how to do a repair, but it was half assed...so I corrected him on it. Then end result -- my nail has split again and upon final inspection he did not shape my nail and the nail is misshapen. Rose do better. My daughter frequents Rose and she's complained about the males at the salon as well -- their rudeness and laughing at customers. It was nice will it lasted Rose, however the search is on for a new salon... Mind you this was previously a 5 star review...it's now dropped down to 2. By far the worst full set I've ever had in my entire life. Most of the times nails are shaped to resemble your natural nail bed which is curved but here nope everything's flat. Some places are really good and making your nails not look like they're $3 press-ons from Walgreens ........ not this place. Nothing about my nails look remotely natural at all. If you get regular polish expect to get Dollar Store nail polish quality but then again you get what you pay for. This place is cheap -$20 for a full set (no gel) and $20 for a pedicure. Maybe come in for a pedicure but I definitely wouldn't come in for nail Services, maybe you can do your own manicure at home and have your regular nails painted there - that would be the safest bet. They have gel OPI colors. read more

I DO NOT recommend this salon. My tech was rude and was a busy, rushing wreck! I am a professional model who just so happened to be in town visiting family and needed a mani/pedi before skipping town. My tech wasn't focused AT ALL. She did someone's eyebrows in between my pedicure, got up to do this and that, came back without gloves, told me to go get my own nail polish after the foot soak and applying the clear nail which was still wet, just so much WRONG! No attention to detail, just a foot wash and a horrible paint job. The nail polish, well, upon picking, I saw the color I thought I wanted, then saw two other bottles, same name, all different colors. They blend polishes. no bueno. Also, my feet are actually worse than I arrived. I did not like the color after the first layer. Told her, she tells me I have to pay for polish change. Idc. Change it anyway ma'am. Then suggests that changing the polish would make my nail weak. Lady it's regular polish. Stop it. At this point I snap. I complained, she now plays like she doesn't understand English, I ask who does, man walks by and points to "her" who is HER I ask, HELEN he says. Whatever! Helen ended up painting my nails (who just so happened to be the only one who understood English... bs, playing dumb in an establishment is poor business ethics!!!) Canceled the idea of any other service. Horrible. I came to support this business and they don't deserve a dime. I should've known it was the wrong place to be in when they had to buzz me in. I went to this salon on a Sunday afternoon. It was crowded but I was immediately seated when I walked in. Unfortunately I didn't get the nail techs name but her booth is the last one on the right hand side. I got a full set, gel, mood polish, active length. She moved pretty fast, it took her about an hour. My overall impression of this place wasn't very good. My nail tech rushed through my nails and while I appreciate not having to sit there for so long I also want you to take the time to make sure you are doing my nails correctly. Several times I had to point out to her that she didn't put enough glue on the tip of my nail so it was popping off before she even put the gel on. Rushing while putting the gel on, which caused for an uneven layer of gel that I had to get her to fix. AGAIN I had to point that out. And she tore my right ring finger up with that drill!! OMG!!! I had to tell her numerous times to watch what she was doing but she just wasn't getting it for some reason. Needless to say it burned like hell when she had to pour alcohol on my nails UGH!! After she finally looked at my finger and saw that she had clearly broken skin she offered to do my eyebrows and I gladly turned that down thinking you gotta be kidding me!?! You tore my finger up and you want me to trust you with my face? LOL NAH I THINK NOT! Also, my nails are a little too thick for my preference. I have nothing bad to say about this shop. I moved to this area a year & some months ago but had still been going back to my old neighborhood to get my nails done because I am loyal. But after a terrible night of service there with the manager I was done. I had been going to that shop over 10 years & they treated me like a stranger.
