A nice little drive though coffee spot to fulfill your coffee or matcha needs located in the Waimanalo town center. There was another location near Kailua but opted for this location since it was on the way. As we pulled up to the coffee stand, there was only one car in front of us. The menu can be read from the car which is nice. A wide variety of coffees, teas and specialty drinks. We ordered one of their matcha drinks and their iced mocha both in 16oz cups. It didn't take to long to get our drinks. While we waited, 3-4 cars joined the queue. The matcha was bitter, they were unfortunately out of agave so we opted with honey. I did however enjoy the iced mocha. Very rice and not to bitter nor sweet. I would love to try one of their mixed energy drinks or teas the next time we visit!

Just the most pleasant experience & friendly service! Thank you for the best mango Matcha!! Would definitely come back 10/10

Super affordable! The tea was only $2 the latte was a little over $5 I saw them leaving waimanalo and had to pull quickly into the parking lot to give it a try. The line moves quickly. I got a marshmallow mac nut latte and a tea but i forget which one i got. Both tasted amazing. I will deff make another trip out there for a few more drinks.

We were driving to the Makapuu lighthouse pretty early one weekend morning. We were out in the country and the only place I saw for coffee was this little drive thru free standing building. I ordered a hot latte with almond milk. There were only a few cars ahead of us and it didn't take that long. The attendant was quick and efficient. The latte was extremely watered down. It came out pretty quickly so I guess it could have been a pour over. The building was cute and appeared clean. I rather support them rather than a Starbucks but I'd probably ask them next time if they do espresso vs pour overs.

Cutest drive through i've ever seen. They have literally everything: teas, red bull infusions, coffee, matcha, etc. Got the mango matcha and it was fresh, the perfect shade of green, and you can genuinely taste the mango. I want to go back and try so much more.

Such a cute little spot and perfect post-sunrise hike reward after Lanikai Pillbox I got the mango matcha--super aesthetic and refreshing, but flavor-wise I'd give it a 7/10. Not bad, just not super mind-blowing. My bf got the ube latte which was actually pretty good (8/10), but ngl you couldn't really taste the ube--more espresso-forward, which we weren't mad about. Vibes were chill, staff was sweet, and the location is so convenient if you're coming down from the hike. Cute place to grab a drink and chill before hitting the beach

We stayed in Waimanalo and this was our regular stop for some coffee and matcha. Drink quality was consistently good, as well as fast and friendly service. Open every day confidently right off the main highway.

I got the white peach li hing Red Bull and it didn't disappoint! The staff were very sweet and very quick - we got our drinks very quickly.

Holoholo is the newest drive through coffee/tea/redbull place in Kaneohe. They're located in Kaneohe behind Windward mall in the same parking lot as the recycling can place. While it is a drive through, they all take walk ups as well. Service has been a hit or miss which is why I gave it 4 stars. For the most part, I've gotten great service, but there have been some moments where I think the workers had hard days and they just didn't cope the best with it to the customers. HOWEVER, the drinks that I've gotten are always great and consistent in flavor and taste so that is a big plus to me! Prices are decent, but a little high to come here every day, but it's definitely a nice spot to come to a couple times a week to treat yourself to! Finally, If you drive up with children in your car, you can ask for some stickers and they'll give you a bucket to pick stickers from!

This Holoholo coffee drive thru stand is located in the little waimanalo shopping center with the gas station, Jack in the box and Ohanas. There's a few other locations on the windward side but this one is closest to me. They're only open until 3pm or 2pm, which isn't very convenient for me because I don't wake up early enough to come in the morning.... So I come on the weekends. The girls working the line are very nice. I like the convenience of being able to sit in my car to order and get my drink. There has always been a line when I've gone, but it moves fast. You order where the menu signs are and then pull up to the honu sign so they can take other peoples orders. Then someone brings you your drink. My husband's cousin is holoholo's biggest fan and has influenced me to get the Mac nut latte with coconut cold foam. It's great. I've also had the lotus bee iced tea. I think I prefer the coffee drinks, but the tea is good too, I like the variety of flavors. They might be card only. It's faster that way. Now if only they also had food... haha.

I heard about this coffee shop on Tepoe's TikTok page and since I was visiting Oahu I had to go there! This was a drive up shop and the service was fast, friendly and the coffee was amazing! It was definitely worth the trip and if ever I'm in Hawai'i again I'll certainly go back! My drink: Macadamia Nut, White Chocolate Iced Latte Add Macnut cold foam 1 shot of espresso

Quick drive thru express for delicious coffee. They had specials/ regulars on the menu that were very satisfactory. Got two drinks for $17 which is kinda steep, but I don't go there every day, and it's supporting local so that's okay. Definitely worth it to try if you've never had coffee from them before. They also have other options like matcha and energy refreshers.

A drive through coffee spot that was a satisfying pit stop during our day. They have a wide variety of drinks to choose from and interestingly operate out of a storage unit on wheels. I went with a Mac nut latte that I read from these previous reviews but was not that impressed by my drink. It felt way too milky and didn't give as much of a coffee flavor as I would've liked. My husband got one of the lotus energy drinks which was delicious, more of the fruity side, and something I wish I would've gotten instead.

Enough visits that this is no longer about catching them on a bad afternoon, ordering the wrong thing or failing to understand what the place is supposed to be. I've tried the different shrimp, stood in the lines, eaten at the tables, navigated the parking, brought people here and returned because, for a very long time, Giovanni's was simply one of those places you went when you were on this side of the island. At some point, repetition becomes evidence. The truck itself has become an artifact. Covered in signatures, battered by time, photographed millions of times. There was probably a period when all of that felt charming. Now it mostly feels tired. There is a difference between patina and neglect and the surrounding experience has increasingly crossed that line for me. Flies, crowded tables, overflowing activity, rough parking, heat, trash nearby. You can romanticize rustic only so far before rustic starts asking for a pressure washer. Then there is the service, which has consistently been the hardest part for me to understand. I don't need anyone performing hospitality like they're auditioning for a resort commercial, but basic warmth costs nothing. Too often the interaction here feels impatient and transactional, as though the customer is somehow inconveniencing the operation by showing up to buy the food. After enough visits, you stop calling that an off day. And then there is the plate. The shrimp itself is actually the least offensive part. It is generally cooked reasonably well. Tender enough, rarely destroyed and when you get a good batch you can understand why this formula became so popular. Everything around it drags it down. The rice has repeatedly been soft, clumped and bordering on mushy. I am annoyingly particular about rice, but rice is not some decorative substance placed beneath the main event. It matters. When half the plate is rice, screwing it up is not a minor detail. The garlic is abundant, certainly, but abundance and care are different things. It often arrives more like a wet mass of processed garlic than the fragrance and texture you get from properly chopped fresh cloves. Add the butter and oil and you certainly get intensity, but after several bites the whole thing becomes heavy rather than interesting. The little salad on the side generally feels like an afterthought that has been waiting for someone to remember it. And that is ultimately my problem with Giovanni's. The entire experience feels as though its reputation arrived at the destination years before the restaurant did and everyone decided there was no longer much reason to keep improving. People will continue coming. Of course they will. The name is famous, the truck is recognizable, the photographs are practically mandatory and nostalgia is one hell of a business model. I understand it because it worked on me for years. But strip away the mythology and ask a brutally simple question: If this exact plate came from an unknown truck with no history, no signatures and no reputation, would you still wait in line for it? I wouldn't. Two stars. The shrimp can still be decent and I have too many memories here to pretend the place means nothing to me. But nostalgia should bring you back to a restaurant. It shouldn't be responsible for making the food taste better. I kept returning because tradition can turn habit into taste. I'm done confusing the two.
