Wonderful coffee truck with a variety of locally sourced, housemate syrups! I love the Dawn Patrol, Nanner Bread, and Ube!!! The most difficult part of my day is choosing which coffee I want to drink today! They have their own free parking lot, as well as free street parking and paid street parking if needed. They have a cute sitting area with tables and chair located behind the truck. And they now have an app! I can order ahead and quickly grab my coffee when I can't stick around to visit! read more

Kooks Coffee has a trailer on the corner of Cooke Street and Halekauwila St. Order from the side of the trailer; pickup from the back. I believe there is shared outdoor seating - at the rear of Kooks' trailer - with Sabrozon's...about four tables. After two visits, I think I should order a basic espresso-based beverage. I got two drinks ( I confess ) based upon their cool names: Dawn Patrol and Loco Mocha. Both are iced beverages and helped to cool me down. Dawn Patrol is made with mac nut and vanilla syrups. The Loco Mocha is a mocha with toasted coconut cold foam. Locally sourced ingredients, i.e. La'ie Vanilla, are used. Both were good, especially on hot ,humid Summer mornings - technically not Summer until the Solstice. There is nearby street and metered street parking...I walked a bit. Hours are from 700 till 200p, Monday thru Saturday; closed on Sunday. I have to stop by when Sabrozon's food truck is open...1100a...because who doesn't like Mexican street food. read more

Good quality coffee drinks, innovative flavors, at reasonable prices, conveniently located .. what's not to like?!? Came across Kooks Coffee after dropping my car off for servicing close by. Walking around the neighborhood and checking out sights up close. Taking the opportunity to meander. Have to say, Can't wait to come back for that "chunky monkey" (that really should be on the menu board!) that Yelper Sonia mentioned in her review. That "Duke" sounds mighty fine also! Today it was just plain black Ice coffee for me (since still in fasting mode) and absolutely loved it. Thankful for the newer (and more convenient) location of Kooks! Even got to discover "that gray food truck" that Irene mentioned in review. Came here on a Saturday morning for the first time. We parked in the small lot by Designer Body. Parking wasn't too bad that morning. We realized that we could do an online order, so we did that just to make our wait less. Once we got there, our order was already ready which was perfect! I ordered the Nanner Bread latte bc Ive been looking for a sweet banana drink that would be similar to a banana latte I had in Vegas. The drink was refreshing. The banana was not as vibrant as I had hoped for and there was some cinnamon taste that overrides the banana. I did like the drink because it wasn't too milky and I could still taste the coffee taste. All in all, I would probably get the drink again, just maybe with some cold foam or extra sweetener. read more

Customer service was friendly and quick. Parking is a little difficult. There's a small lot next to the coffee truck but it does fill up. The day we went they had shut down the road due to the Italian food festival. Drinks were good just a little sweet for my preference. I may add an extra shot next time. Kook's Coffee is a trailer on the corner of Cooke and Halekauwila St. It's virbrantly painted so you cannot miss it. There is a menu right up front that is clearly written (even for those with poor eyesight like me!) and you order at one window and pick up on the side. They even have shirts hanging from their window in case you're interested in merch. Anyway, the staff was really friendly when ordering. I ordered the Ubae Watch with Oat milk and the only reason for my 4 stars is that it was a little too sweet for me. Anyway, you order up front and pick up your drink on the side. There are a few tables outside of the trailer that share a space with Sabrozon but the aren't open yet, so sitting isnt a big issue. They were painting a new mural behind the seating space today, and Im excited to see what it looks like when done. The cost of my latte and a tip was about $9. If you're in a hurry, you can pre-order your drink and pick it up when you get there, which is very convenient. They are open 7-2 and i would recommend getting your drink and taking a nice stroll around the neighborhood. read more

There's Kooks in Kaka'ako... As I drove up to the Grey Manapua Truck I noticed a familiar cute trailer and it was surprised to see Kooks Coffee parked right beside Sabrozon on the corner of Cooke and Halekuwila Street. Very new as it's been less than a week it's definitely a welcome sight as they open early from 7am though do close early at 2pm but with lots of parking options from street meter to the lot at the building right beside them which also you not be able to see but behind the trucks are nice seating area as well for you to sit and relax with your drinks is quite nice and cozy. What you'll find here are coffee with a twist such as Nanner Bread, Dawn Patrol and yes Kooky Monster which all sounds amazing but it was the Iced Ubae Watch for me today which is their Ube Latte and for an additional +$0.75 subbed it for Almond Milk...you order your drink at the front window and pick up on the side. The staff there is so nice and friendly and if coffee isn't your thing they also have chai and "Rockers" which is a refreshing energy drink using Lotus which is a plant-based flavored drink which is something that I'd like to try on my next visit so check them out as these Kooks makes some serious drinks. I'm so glad Kooks Coffee opened their second location in Kakaako! I used to go to their first location all the time when I was a student at UH and it definitely gave me the caffeine (and sugar) boost I needed to get through the day. Located next to Sabrozon and near Mother Waldron Park, it's a great location for those working in the area or are in need of a morning pick up. They conveniently open from 7am- 2pm. While parking can get a little tricky since it's street parking, I've been fortunate enough to find a spot within 5 minutes of driving around. The highlight of Kooks Coffee is that they use quality local ingredients, while still maintaining an affordable pricepoint. After a few visits now, Kooks Coffee Cart has officially become one of my favorite stops during my morning walks. You'll find them right on the corner of Cooke and Halekauwila streets and it's a convenient location to grab a drink to start the day since they are open Monday through Saturday from 7 AM to 2 PM. Every time I've stopped by, the service has been consistently friendly, fast, and always served with a smile. Even when there are a few people ahead, the drinks come out quickly and the team keeps the vibe upbeat and welcoming. Their menu has a great mix of signature lattes and classic coffee drinks, including espresso, cold brew, americanos, and cappuccinos. So far I've had the chance to try a few of their lattes and they have all been delicious. The Duke combines sea salted caramel with a coconut white cap and has a nice balance of sweet and slightly salty flavors. The Dawn Patrol, made with toasted macadamia nut and vanilla, has a smooth flavor that is perfect for a morning coffee. I also really enjoyed the Loco Mocha, which pairs rich mocha with a coconut white cap for a chocolatey drink with a subtle tropical twist. It's hard to choose a favorite because they've all been so good. One drink I'm especially curious to try on my next morning walk is the Nanner Bread, a banana bread latte made with housemade banana milk. Yum! This is a new coffee cart in Kakaako near the Sabrazon Mexican truck across Mother Waldron park. They also have a UH campus location. I tried the Duke which is a sea salt caramel coffee with coconut cold foam. Very good! My sister had the banana bread latte, which I tried, and it's also very delicious. The milk on that one cannot be substituted though since they make the banana milk in house, for the rest of the drinks the milk can be substituted. Service was quick and friendly and a nice variety of options, will definitely be back. read more

I rarely leave reviews but this place is too good to not dote about. Love getting my iced latte from here. Ingredients are locally sourced, the quality of the coffee is second to none, the names of the drinks are a fun touch too (I order the dawn patrol - basically an iced vanilla latte) and the prices are competitive. BUT what truly stands out the most to me is the SERVICE. When ordering, you are instantly greeted with a warm smile. The owners also work their coffee truck and it's actually them who I love ordering from because their pleasant demeanor and kind smile goes a longggggg way these days. Such a hidden gem! They just opened a couple of weeks ago and I've had their coffee almost every day. My personal favorite is their "Iced Nanner Bread" with the white cap on top. Their house made banana milk is SERIOUSLY so good, combined with the coconut white cap is chefs kiss. The staff is all super friendly and helpful with recommendations! I LOVE KOOKS!! read more
