It has been a while since I've been here but I was in need of a caffeine fix. The space is great! I love the upstairs and it's just a relaxing vibe. It was a little crowded inside so I sat outside. Friendly greeting at the counter, I ordered a shot of espresso and the honey lavender latte. I would have to say, the espresso was one of the biggest ones I've ever had which is nice! Tried out their cold brew and it was pretty standard. I prefer mines with a smoother taste that melds in with the bitterness of the cold brew making it easy to drink. This one was a bit more bitter. Bonus stars for the free wifi available and beautiful ambiance to chill. This place does get busy I saw a line forming out the door. There are two levels of seating so you can also make your way upstairs to settle there if there is no space downstairs. I heard the food is popular here as well. Haven't made my way to their Kakaako location, but I always pass by and it's very busy as well. If you're in the area it's worth a visit if you need a place to rest. read more

Second time coming here and it's always a cute vibe. I love the little upstairs area they have with a little more lighting from the windows. It's also looked to be dog or pet friendly. Menu was easy to read, not overwhelming. The line does get long but they are definitely pretty quick with pushing drinks and food out so the wait was not long at all. I ordered a strawberry matcha (more on the bland side) compared to other places I've tried. I also ordered the avocado toast which really good, with the cheese and little salad on the side it was perfect. I will be coming back to try some of their other drinks. read more

I enjoyed my first time visiting Morning Brew Kailua. I needed breakfast since i was attending a baseball tournament at Kailua District Park. I noticed this place is always crowded. I decided to check it out! I got the breakfast quesadilla for $15.50 which comes with bacon, egg, cheese, bell peppers, and cilantro aioli and comes with a side of salsa mixed w sour cream. The portion size was good enough to share plus they have two containers of salsa/sour cream mix which was so good. I did takeout and they had a table of extra containers you could take. I halved my quesadilla w my mom and got a 2nd container. The food was so good and was ready in about 7-8 minutes on a sunday morning. it looks like a nice place to eat at, they had tables downstairs and upstairs. This little cafe is easily accessible and has ample parking. The location has indoor seating for eating and a nice upstairs area for working. There is an also a small outside eating area that is perfect for people with dogs. The vibe is trendy and enjoyable. The cashiers and baristas are kind, friendly, and helpful. The food and drinks take a while to be ready, so just be aware of that. The BLT was delicious, well balanced and fresh. The iced latte was not too sweet and well balanced. I was not a fan of the pesto croissant sandwich, I found it plain. I was also not a fan of the lavender latte, it tasted too artificial for my taste. I am a senior who has been retired for about 15 years and I like to drive to Kailua from my home in Aiea to shop at Whole Foods. Since Kailua has many quality restaurants, I sometimes have meal someplace in Kailua. This morning, after shopping at Tokyo Central, I walked to Morning Brew to treat myself to a blended matcha frapuccino. When I asked for one the server replied that they don't offer that drink at the Morning Brew. She suggested that I get a Frappuccino shake instead because it has blended ice in it. I paid and sat down to read my phone. There are many seats in the establishment and seems to be that they make use of the space because there seemed to be a local following and almost every seat was taken. I didn't wait very long for my order. The first thing that popped into my mind was that it looked more like an iced coffee than a blended coffee drink. The next thing that I thought of was that the drink looked pretty small to have cost over $9. I went back to sit down and my first sip was disappointing, there was no slushy ice in my drink and for that matter I didn't get any ice at all. I know that I don't get out much and I need to get used to inflation prices, but I will not return and pay for overpriced beverages anymore. The drink tasted OK, but it seemed to get more and more sweeter as drank it. I left feeling disappointed. read more

This review is in regard to the açaí bowls and pistachio cheesecake. The presentation and customer service were lacking. The prices are also steep for what you get. Sad appearing açaí bowl. Kona iced latte... what else can I say. After two weeks of having at least one per day, my first day home that I mage coffee was disappointing. Also, a great spot for breakfast waffles or acai bowls. Great tasting pour over coffee for an average price. Good service and nice interior but the coffee took longer than average to make.

We got vanilla lattes and a roasted turkey pesto melt! Very friendly staff and everything tasted great! Also a nice place to sit and chat!

My friend and I ordered the breakfast burrito and the breakfast bagel sandwich with the veggie option (avocado, tomato, arugula). We chose the blueberry bagel. We intended to share both, but after we ate the delicious burrito, we were too full to eat the bagel. I enjoyed the reheated bagel as much as the burrito at the restaurant. The upstairs seating area is so cute. There is a view of the park across the street in the picture window. I'm perplexed about this place. For starters it's a nice spot and I wanted a coffee after an early start running errands. Place is huge with tons of comfy seating and an expansive menu if you like coffee and espresso but for someone who was looking for say a dirty chai or a non flat white esque latte the menu was quite limiting. I was small kine hungry and saw a lot of options available but based on what I saw on other people's plates for the price of avg 14 ish wasn't appealing. Ended up going with a chai shake which for the price ($8.60) was quite good and had solid consistency which only made me want a larger size or cheaper price to make it appealing to buy more. I also got a lemon square which while huge and clean didn't exactly scream to me a bomb ass lemon bar more ok and for the price again (roughly 5 ish bucks) didn't reflect the value to me. Also I normally dont comment on customer service as I work in the industry and understand its a drag and try the way I'd like to be talked to for once but homegirl didn't budge and kinda made it a chore to ask for anything despite the decent pace I went with. I'd love to try it again for the coffee eventually but yah it's a mixed bag for me. Easily will update this eventually! read more
