First time customer, and not coming back. Bought Tropical Island which was good, and also bought a Chamango base on many of the pictures here. When we got them my wife notice that there was no mango on ours compare to the ones on yelp. Called and was told by the guy (probably the owner) that I "wasn't missing out on anything" and its "just few pieces" that they put in. Well i don't care if they put half of a piece or a quarter, what I bought was the Chamango that looks like the one in the pictures and even put boba on it. The best Boba drink place in town. They've perfected how to cook their Bobas just right. I've gone to other places where their Bobas are over cooked, too chewy or leftovers from the day before. Chill Zone makes their Bobas fresh daily and that's where the big difference is. They have a variety of drinks to choose from and have lots of additional options to add to your drink. As a San Diegan, I'm spoiled by the various amounts of tea and boba houses in my area. So coming to this place, I was not satisfied. My bf and I were on our way back from Las Vegas and had a craving for some boba. With the help of the Yelp app, we found this location. There was not a great selection of snacks. Just some small bags of chips and candy. As for the drinks, all I saw were canisters of powder. No real fruit in sight. Not my cup of tea. I would not recommend this place. read more

The boba was just mediocre, wish they had more flavor selections, but my toddler seemed to enjoy it. The chamango only had small hint of chamoy, and didn't have the good spice to the drink nor did it have (the best part) the chamoy and tamarind stick. So, it pretty much tasted like a mango slush. I did appreciate the fresh mango topping. With limited choices in temecula, I'd come back if I ever really have a craving for boba. The service is friendly, although I stood waiting at the register to be helped while the two women held their own conversation for about 3-4 minutes. The service was really slow because of all the customers and they only had a few blenders. If you compare Chill Zone to boba places from LA, OC or SD, you'd probably want to give it a two star rating. The wait for drinks is still on the long side despite there not being many customers. Their milk teas are on the sweet side and you cannot adjust the sweetness. The chamango is pretty good. I remember my first visit here and asking if they can make a Thai tea snow, the owner looked at me funny and said "No... But all we do is add creamer so okay," and now it's listed as one of Chill zone's favorites. I've definitely been spoiled with good boba places around where I went to school, and where I went out with friends to all the time in Rowland heights! I was pretty anxious to try this boba place out because I was disappointed before! :( But it was pretty decent! The actual BOBA is pretty good! It's chewy and soft and like others have said, it's not overcooked and grainy! And they give you a good amount! :) My only complaint is that some of the drinks are a bit powdery still! :/ I got the Almond milk tea, and it was a bit too much of the almond flavoring! Almond is usually my fav, but here I usually get the Honeydew when I do get it! It's not bad! But like I said it's a BIT powdery.. :/ I'll have to brave myself up for something new! If I were to rate this during that time I would've given them a 3 star. However, they have improved very much. One of the more enjoyable boba joints here in Temecula. Went to this place because my family has been raving about it (I've been to a few places here and there, but all I really know about boba is Tapioca Express because I go to UCSD). My indicator of whether a place serves a good boba drink is by ordering some sort of mango drink off their menu. I decided to order the Mango Slush with boba, which was really good! I agree with the other reviewers that it takes too long for the drinks to come out, but I think it's well worth the wait. At least, I didn't have too much of a problem with it as I was the only customer on a Wednesday evening (I could see how waiting could be a problem if the place were super busy).
