We randomly stumbled upon this newly opened establishment because the other place we had planned to dine in was undergoing renovations and did not have dine-in service. So on a Sunday, the six of us shared the following: 1) 3-piece gaza strips with fries 2) 16 pieces legs and thighs with 2 fries, 1 macaroni and cheese, 8 biscuits 3) Fried brussels sprouts We thoroughly enjoyed the chicken legs and thighs as well as the side dishes, especially the fried brussels sprouts. Flavors were delicious and meat were tender and juicy. Portions were beyond generous and we had plenty of leftovers. The one thing that we didn't care for were the gaza strips which were dry. We will stick with the chicken legs and thighs at our next visit but we would also love to give the sandwiches a try. read more

I came to this spot on an afternoon weekend. The menu is not overwhelming and a friend and I ordered a few bowls as well as some wings. The chicken here is amazing! It's so juicy and flavorful and I really liked the bowls with rice, corn and other items with chicken I got the zinger bowl. The fries were well seasoned and nice and crunchy The front desk was good about taking our orders but the food does take a bit to come out. We were waiting for quite some time. Additionally the resturant was clean but as with any fried food resturant it's just kinda sticky and scummy on the tables. There was a fair amount if space to sit at tables and at a bar with stools. The soft drink machine was functional but I think the carbonation was kept very low I enjoyed the chicken, all the sauces and the fries. The environment was ok too. Check it out read more

I've been to the Bridgeview location of Holy Buckets and was fortunate to try out the new Lombard location recently. I thought I was going at an off-time (4:30 pm), but it was packed. We were lucky to get a table. There's plenty of parking outside, but inside is somewhat small. The menu has a decent selection of chicken sandwiches and bowls. They even have a beef burger. We ordered a Holy Bowl, a Hot Nashville sandwich (medium), and a banana pudding. The Holy Bowl was very tasty, but health-conscious folks beware. It had sliced pieces of fried chicken, french fries, mac & cheese, and sauce. The Nashville sandwich was very good, but I like Chi-Tea's sandwich better. My wife thought this sandwich was spicy, but I thought it was perfectly fine. The banana pudding is made by a third party called The Cake Factory, but it was pretty tasty. Happy to have another halal option in this area. Chi-Tea and Seoul Bites are in the same plaza, and Hello Shawarma is supposed to be opening a Lombard location right here as well. read more

I've been to Holy Buckets several times. It's the one HMS certified halal fried chicken place that's in the area. I enjoy the chicken but I love the honey biscuits, mashed potatoes with halal gravy and Mac n cheese. The chicken is reliably good. They usually can take my phone call. Busy hours are evenings and weekends. Usually chill in the afternoon. They are improving their quality control and workflow. Last time I visited a week ago they got my entire order right and even remembered I asked for extra gravy even though it wasn't in the receipt. So that was awesome. Naturally, when super busy their wait times are longer. read more

Food was good and the staff is super nice :) I got the 3 piece chicken meal w/ the biscuit, fries, and coleslaw. I will say even the spicy chicken is not spicy AT ALL but it is crispy and juicy! read more

Nice place to get a pizza if you're looking for sausage and pepperoni that's Halal. I ordered a sausage and green peppers and onion Pizza. They only have one size and I also showed the receipt for it. I never knew it existed, maybe some better advertisement might help. Overall, I can't speak for the chicken, but I can for the pizza, it was good to better, it did need some salt for me, and it was only one size fits all I believe. I left a picture of the Pizza and the receipt you can make your comparison if you think it was a good value or not. I do wish they placed more items on the Pizza. The sitting area was nice, clean overall and the attendance behind the counter were giving good service and were polite. They could be more helpful in discussing the menu with customers since if you are a first time you may need assistance. And I wish they spent more time behind the counter than once they take your order, they go back behind the wall into the kitchen. I think this would give them an impression that they are busier and do care about increasing service for customers. Overall, I like the place and I would've definitely given higher stars if there were more items on the Pizza and they spent more time in front of the counter. read more

Not bad, not great. However if you only eat halal i understand the appeal but when you eat this chicken you're gonna immediately think of other places that are better. Much better. We ate here during the soft open phase and while I get that comes with limitations, I don't understand why service is sooooo slow, there's too many people just standing around and basic conveniences aren't there. This place was great! Since it had opened, I've been meaning to come and try this place, but I haven't had a chance. But since I had extra time today, I decided to go with some friends. The place is located in a small shopping area so there's plenty of parking. We went in and there were a few tables occupied, but there were still quite a few tables available. So we placed our order at the counter and I got three chicken tenders which came with fries coleslaw, and a biscuit. I wasn't certain how spicy the sauce was gonna be so I went with the mild instead. And it was really good. The chicken was all nice and crispy and also moist. The fries were good and with some ketchup. Coleslaw was refreshing. The biscuit was good as well. My friends thoroughly enjoyed their meals as well. We definitely decided we're gonna come back again a different time. Prices were reasonable. And service was really nice. Don't worry we were thinking of getting dessert there but we were all pretty full so we decided pass but they do have some different types of cake, cookies and pudding. As well as Eiffel waffle ice cream which was interesting. But for sure next time I'm gonna save a room for dessert! read more

I go here 3 times a week because I love fried chicken and they do it right. The chicken is hot and fresh, the biscuits and fries are great. I think the pizza is ok but I got it once so maybe give it a try and see what you think. The burger is ok too, I do not think it is a fresh patty. But, It's the best fried chicken in town so why get anything else. They have bowls too where they add chicken, Mac n cheese plus mashed potatoes. They are large portions and they are ok as the Mac n cheese could use some seasoning. The Brussels sprouts are so good. The staff is great and you should give this a try. The food here is amazing I really like to. HOWEVER the customer service is so terrible it's actually so so bad. Nobody does anything everything takes a million years they actually have no brain cells the workers. They just talk about you in Arabic thinking you don't understand. So moral of the story if u want to eat here, don't get it to go! read more
