Love this place. My home away from home. Staff is amazing, the atmosphere is calm and beautiful. Kid friendly. Great way to meet new people.

I mean what kid wouldn't be excited for that? So many freshly-made options to choose from, and this one was a winner. Definitely a very sweet-treat, and worth splitting a handful of ways, but boy was it tasty! I also grabbed a latte for myself, which I always enjoy here. I will say however, I wish they had other milk options beyond oat and whole milk. I say this with no means to complain, but both of those milk are very 'heavy' so whenever something like skim or almond is available, that's a personal preference for sure. Love the community feel here, love the goodies, will return.

They had a variety of baked goods to choose from- we opted for the cinnamon roll and the seasonal danish. We also ordered a cappuccino and an americano. The baked goods we had were okay. We were disappointed they wouldn't heat up the cinnamon roll, the reason they gave us was because the frosting would run and be messy. So the cinnamon roll wasn't very enjoyable. I liked the filling on the seasonal danish but I asked for it heated up and it was served at room temp. The coffee was good- we both thought it was weak for our liking but it had good flavor. Also to note, this place is very family-friendly. When we were in, there were a lot of children and families enjoying the space. I would love to come back and try the monkey bread; they were sold out when we arrived this morning and we were told it's a top-seller.

Food: I ordered a London Fog Tea Latte in a mug with a little lavender and a little vanilla. They had a Cherry Pistachio Danish, and the staff member told me it was her favorite, so I went with that. Both items were delicious. The London Fog was nicely frothy. They only had a 12-oz mug, and my preference is usually a 16-oz, but they filled this one right to the top. It could have been a bit hotter. The Danish was excellent. It tasted very fresh, with flaky pastry and a generous amount of filling. It might have benefited from a few more pistachios, but that's a minor nit. Service: My experiences with Stone Creek staff are usually friendly and helpful, and this location was no exception. They were happy to offer their own opinions and recommendations. Atmosphere: This location has a nice feel to it. There is plenty of seating and lots of natural light coming in from the tall windows. Even though it's in a busy area, the inside feels quiet and relaxed. The customers were all having respectful, low-key conversations.

Date of visit: December 14, 2025…read more Our monthly coffee date with our close friends took us this time to the Colectivo in Shorewood and it was good to be close from home given the frigid temperatures we were experiencing. I can't say that I've really spent any time at a Colectivo since the one at Bayshore closed, so this was a nice opportunity to reacquaint myself with their offerings and I came away impressed for the most part. For coffee, I went with the Peppermint Fluff Latte, and I must say it was an excellent choice on my part. They didn't skip on the mint and it really felt like a perfect drink for a cold day with Christmas just around the corner. Foodwise, I selected a cowgirl cookie (a bit too overcooked for my tastes, though the half of the salted choco cookie my husband ordered was quite good and I would recommend that one) and the Bacon Egg and Cheese Croissant. The croissant was a bit more squat than I was expecting, but it lent itself to the sandwich well and while a bit miserly on the cheese, it was overall a very good sandwich. I went five stars instead of four because the staff was really quite excellent. I fully expected the usual crew of hungover hipsters you see at most other coffee shops but instead I found a fun, friendly bunch that were happy to help.

Date of visit: April 29, 2026…read more I struggled to find a decent website prior to visiting to have a good idea of what we were getting into, though I don't know that I would have been less disappointed had I been more informed. I was expecting a bit more than just breakfast sandwiches in terms of food, but that is all the counter staff told us about. Later I saw people with baked goods but those weren't mentioned or visible for us to peruse. Our breakfast sandwiches were pretty average, and the coffee was just okay as well. I tried the Carrot Cake Latte and it had a hint of that flavor, but I definitely wanted a little more. The vibe is very hipster, from the bicycle crowd to the vegan folks and would really only work in a neighborhood like Riverwest!

Totally cool place, fully grunge, queer friendly, safe place!…read more They have vegan, and meat options. Good coffee, anti-ice signs, and good music playing. The inside is set up like a 90s cafe, some booths, some community tables, and posters for events. Definitely a must try if you're in Milwaukee. I got a cold brew, and a chickpea sandwich. The sandwich was fine, it had arugula which I loved but not enough flavor other than the arugula. But it was good. My partner got a breakfast sandwich on an English muffin with sausage, egg, and cheese. He said it was "fantastic". He also got a lucky charm latte. We also got a side order of bacon for my kiddo.

When i walked in, the atmosphere was welcoming, and the staff seemed super nice, and were diligent about helping all orders ahead of me pretty fast paced. I've been dealing with a lot (hence the appointments mentioned) so finding new food places (and food places that are GOOD) always serves as a pick-me-up. I ordered a tuna melt, muffin, and hibiscus iced tea...that tuna melt was so good I completely forgot about taking a picture of it. But the banana chocolate chip muffin and iced tea were also some of the best morning goodies I've ever had. If it wasn't so much of a hike from where I actually live, I'd probably be an everyday regular here. Definitely delicious and would recommend visiting.

Could there be a better reason to stuff your face full of bread? Friendship Cafe and Bakery hits like home with a mixed staff who are warm, friendly and really are overjoyed to be at work. Some of which are actual graduates of the 12 month employment training program Friendship runs for adults with disabilities to get placed in amazing work environments to support themselves and make (guess what) FRIENDS. The cafe makes coffee drinks, refreshers, teas and other beverages along with every baked good you can dream up. Muffins, cake pops, cookies, cakes, bagels, strudels and delicious loaves of bread. This place also caters any mealtime and touts being able to provide menus that can be: nut free, Kosher, gluten free and dairy free. Customization is key and what they're there for! The distinguished Head Pastry Chef, Tara Forosisky-Benito, puts all her passion into her baked goods and breads. She's worked on this particular sourdough starter perfecting its makeup for a little over 5 years! And to make sure that the kitchen is always performing at the highest quality and speed, she's always 20 steps ahead in terms of prep and early mornings. I got a peek inside the kitchen after I heard all about their nonprofit mission and you could see the creativity popping and the drive to support some of the fellow employees was apparent. Oh, did I mention there's an art studio space, too? As if they aren't doing enough, they host art and little workshops like the popular "Art and Baking" for kiddos in the Fall. This cafe is remote work friendly (free WiFi!), has delicious drinks and baked treats all while supporting an important cause. Will definitely be making a bunch of trips back!
