FOOD: I didn't have much high hopes but this place proved me wrong. They are more than able to customize your fries order. I loved the different options of types of fries you can combine. I ordered the chicken bacon ranch with a mix of tots and seashore. It was filling and delicious. The fries were still very crispy which I loved. Most places that serve fries like these have soggy fries within minutes of serving but this place were able to serve it crispy for awhile. The portion was great too even if my order was a small. I ordered two hamburgers with just the basic works. Both tasty even with the simplicity of the burger. I wish the patty was a little bigger though but still tasted good. SERVICE: The lady at the register was more than willing to help me with any questions about the menu or the food. Very friendly and welcoming. Quick service as well but I think I just went during a slow time so I got lucky. It seems like it could definitely get busy during peak times. This place is great! The french fry varieties and styles are inventive and thorough, and most importantly, delicious! The staff is courteous and enthusiastic. The branding and decor are fun and create a jovial atmosphere, even down to the bathroom decor. I won't spoil the surprise, but seriously, pop in and check it out, even if you don't have to go, you won't regret it. And the arcade! There are not enough good arcades anymore, and the setup here takes me back to the days when I would spend hours at a time at Typhoon Arcade, or Fatte's Pizza when they were in the bigger building, or even the arcade at the theater back when they used to have a decent selection. Overall, I think it is my new favorite burger place (fry place?). I wish I could afford to come here more often, but pretty much all food places are so expensive these days that I don't eat out very often in general, though French Fries' isn't quite as expensive as some other comparable places. And I think it is super awesome that it is a family-owned, local business. This area, the Central Coast, has such great people and places and culture, and sometimes I really feel like we have it great here being somewhat of a "hidden gem" and under the radar compared to better known areas of California like LA and SoCal. And it is unique and genuine businesses just like this one that really give me that feeling. And lastly I just want to brag that I puzzled out a secret menu item of sorts, and the lady who took my order said it was the first time she's ever had someone order it, so I may very well be the first to get them to make a Philly cheesesteak! We had an amazing experience throwing our son's 8th Birthday party here. The owner Samantha was very accommodating and helpful. The food and milkshakes were AMAZING! We tried various things off the menu on top of what came with the package and everyone left pleased. I know I already wrote a review and added more photos for this business I am not sure what happened to them but I'll just tell you here. you walk into their fun and bright decor. I think I mentioned they're 9 tables, not all with 4 chairs some are 2 seaters. So not much space. when you walk in you can see they have the full menu on the wall behind the cashier and a drink station to the left. not sure if they have a restroom. we ordered 2 cold mashups which are like little blizzards in ice cream cups. 2 medium fries one was asada fries and the other was chicken ranch both very good and a double cheeseburger. all the food tasted great and we will be back... they offer more things we are interested in trying our only gripe was the amount of wet/ sauce toppings for the fries was a little lacking. read more

What a fabulous selection literally hundreds of combinations of every kind of french fry and topping. Reminds me of that baked potato restaurant that used to have in malls. First off, we both ordered combos but when they gave us our food, they put his burger with my fries and my tenders with his fries. Inconvenient but no big deal, we just switched them at home. They were too crunchy, not crisp and soft on the inside like good fries should be. We ate about 5 before deciding to take our losses and threw them away. The highlight were the bacon chili cheese steak fries. There wasn't a lot of chili, cheese, or bacon toppings on the fries but I enjoyed them nonetheless. The steak fries were perfectly crispy although a tad on the salty side. The chicken strips were typical tenders. Not too dry but not juicy either. Nothing special. I change my fist review, possibly the worst service and the most BLAND flavored Garlic Fries. There is also no place to wash your hands before you eat. Before posting this I have visited again today. This place is SUPER NOISY and the Staff have obviously never worked somewhere at lunchtime. I will be visiting again soon. Having French Fries as the name of the business, unfortunately was some of the worst french fries I've had in the area. Based on the reviews, I was expecting a bit more. Wife got parmesan steak fries with a regular cheese burger and I had carne asada fries. Both sets of fries were beyond bland and toppings were very underwhelming. Parmesan fries were some of the worst we've ever had, did not even hint a taste of parmesan. The carne asada was cooked to hell and back and barely anything on the fries, fries had zero seasoning. Cheese burger was just a typical flat and cheap cheese burger. I really wouldn't recommend this place at all, unless you just want and expect some really cheap and underwhelming food. The amount of toppings and customizations allowed for each set of items is endless, providing the opportunity to try something new every single visit! Their portions are huge so I would recommend only getting 2-3 toppings per fry to really get to try all of their ingredients. As far as the overall restaurant, the ambience and customer service is through the roof. I wish I had all of the employees names in which I've had to been served but their is simply too many to count. Clean dining space, their to go packaging is also a nice touch.
