Steak salad with no blue cheese and dressing on the side
    Kim M.

Looking for a lunch look no further! This casual joint was packed with people coming to get their lunch for two days so we figured it would be a great spot to stop! We got the steak salad with no blue cheese and dressing on the side as well as a chicken chipotle wrap. The staff taking our order was super helpful and friendly about us asking for sauce on the side. A lot of times when you order stuff on the side weight, staff can get a little snippy with the orders, but they seemed really easy with making the change. Inside was a little bit stuffy however, the patio space in the sun was perfect for a quick lunch. Now for the taste, I wasn't expecting much but boy was I in the wrong. The chipotle wrap featured a warmed tortilla with the cheese melted inside. The lettuce was fresh and all the filling was perfect. The chipotle on the side was a great topper to dip into as well. The steak salad was our absolute favorite, and we ate every bit of it! The meat was sliced, very thin and fried almost similar to bacon. My sister remarked that she enjoyed how the salad was chopped and all the pieces were similar size so when you mix it up, you could get a bite of everything versus just one bite of meat or veg. I would totally come back here just for that salad and highly recommend it for anyone looking for a protein packed lighter lunch. The fries were fries and delicious, but I must admit I filled up on the rest and wasn't able to finish it. Well, done, old village crew!

This place has vintage vibes and classic burger offerings. The service was friendly and I enjoyed the bacon ranch and cheese sandwich. It's a cute place with affordable prices.

Out on an adventure today. I stopped to get a bite to eat. I ordered a chopped steak salad with a half order of sweet potato fries. The steak was (I'm guessing) likely the meat they use in a streak sandwich (even though it's not on the menu). It was tough. But the salad was good. Sweet potato fries was good. It's basically a fast food joint. The table tops are tacky to the touch. That makes me question cleanliness.

Me and my riding buddies stopped here for lunch! I ordered the Guacamole Bacon Cheese Burger and the Raspberry-Banana Malt! The Burger was deliciously huge with Brioche Bun! The Malt had real fruits in it and not just flavoring! Best burger and malt I had for a long time! The staff were very nice and friendly! They have adequate parking in the back. Inside and outside seating. It's a long way from where we live, but I'm coming back for more!!!

Stopped in for a BLTA. The place is old school cafe style. Definitely had a local feel. The BLTA was served on a sandwich roll with shred iceberg lettuce. It was a decent sandwich with ample Bacon and Avocado. I would order it again. The guy behind the counter was not very personable was quiet when he called out people order number and under the weather. Kind of odd that he was serving the food if he didn't feel good. It took a bit longer than expected to get my food and I called ahead to go. With a little effort, this place could be solid. I see a lot of people come here. I will try it again and dine in to see if I can a different feel. Cheers!

Pretty cheap food. A $10 huge burger that I can't finish. And the food tastes good. I'm personally not a burger fan but this is okay. I wouldn't eat it often just because I don't like burgers. Cheap burger for central California and there are a lot of variety. I chose the Hawaiian burger because I wanted some fruit with sweet and sour taste in mh savory meat Service is great, self-serve. And there is a drink machine you can refill your water Parking can be hard so I recommend street parking or the lot across from the bridge. Overall I have nothing to complain so I will be back once in a while

Randomly walked into this burger place in the middle of a shopping trip. It's pretty chill and casual place, old town vibe, employees are friendly. I didn't expected to be surprised by the taste. However, I was Wowed. The burger was from the special menu called jalapeños something burger. It wasn't too spicy, the meat patty was juicy, it's great for me. The garlic fries were the must have, so crunchy and flavorful, I would come over just to order this item alone.

A cute, old grill in downtown Arroyo Grande! They had a variety of meals to choose from - it took awhile to finally pick a sandwich! But eventually decided on the Mushroom Jack Chicken. The idea of the food was good as I love love mushroom but the flavor of the sandwich wasn't there. The sourdough bread was overpowering the flavor of the inside of the sandwich. Everything was too sour. It was a bummer but maybe next time!

You want to go where the locals do this is the most place. Hope you aren't bothered by waiting because it is usually busy because of how great the food and service is.

    Love watching the street.

Seemed to close early, 8pm, for a brewery, but I guess it's a quieter area. Arrived past 7, hoping we can still get food and we were still good for food and beer! Ms. Kristie was so efficient and friendly and awesome, hustling back and forth from reception to seating and dropping by to check on all the patrons. Like a one woman show! I went for the Peanut butter falcon since I like a good brown beer. The peanut butter was initially nice, but it kinda became tiring as the sips went along, since peanut butter seemed a bit much over the beer. Got wife the German Pilsner and that was excellent! Smooth with a hint of malty sweetness too! I am thinking maybe the Lawn Order blonde ale is probably going to be great as well, but too full from late lunch to consume more than one. For food, went with the birria melt and the salmon salad. Birria melt had some awesome authentic flavors to it! Kid devoured it with the consomme. I enjoyed a quarter of it, but too full, so worked out perfect since kid didn't want to share more either, lol. Salmon salad was perfect! Pan seared on both side for that wonderful crust yet tender goodness. Salad dressing with cherry and almond slices made this salad so enjoyable while staying lighter. Was not expecting such salmon from a brewery, excellent food here! Locals seem to love this place too until closing time I guess, since a group that seemed to be bar hopping arrived exceited when we got there too:)

A group of us went for dinner and I had the Western Burger and fries. The burger had good flavor with the ingredients tasting very fresh. The conversation was good, so I didn't pay that much attention to what others ordered, but everyone said their dishes tasted good. Our food arrived quickly and I would definitely come back again to try one of the other sandwiches or burgers, if we are in the neighborhood. The only drawback to this restaurant was that they close at 7:30pm daily, a bit early for my dining habits. The location is conveniently located on Grand Avenue, not far from the Hwy 101 off-ramps and on-ramps, and they have a large parking lot that is easy to pull in to.

Lots of bussers running around but seemed like only 1 waitress. From the time we ordered our food it seemed like eternity till we ate. I quickly realized that our food probably sat on the ready counter for a significant length isn't time. I ordered biscuits and gravy with bacon and two eggs over easy. The biscuits were ok at best, Gravy lacked flavor and my eggs were as cold as the weather outside. My GF ordered a sandwich, that did not come with fries. That was discovered once the order arrived. We were told they're playing with the menu. ‍, sounded weird but ok. She also god a side of mozzarella sticks. Those two were cold. Like they took a string cheese and rolled it in breading and heated in the microwave for about 15 seconds. So disappointing. I hope they figure out their staffing issues and lock in the menu. Seems like a decent spot but I'll find another breakfast place. Don't waste your money, plus I heard the tips are automatically added to the bill. I didn't look that closely because there was only 3 of us eating and I'm not used to auto tipping unless you have a large party. If they do auto tipping, my waitress hit well more than deserved because I tipped on my own as well. The table we were sat, was out of little jam packets. Seems like a trivial thing to bring up but details matter. What else are they skipping...? Do they even wipe down a table when it's reset first the next guests? McDonalds is down the street. At least their food is hot!

Rarely do I walk away from a dining experience where the quality of service and quality of food fight to outshine one another, but this was one of those spots. Our server, a German gentleman, was the consummate professional- always friendly, never overstepping, and added such a warm dimension to our meal. The fried green tomatoes and the white beet appetizers were standouts. I especially loved the vinegary dressing on the greens of the beet dish. For mains, we got the leek olive potato pizza, the ribeye, and the wood fire poached halibut. The avocado chimichurri that accompanied the ribeye was the perfect balance, and the sautéed greens under the fish were savory with the right amount of bite. I also liked their selection of mocktails; the pink pony club was a particular standout. All this for $200 was a better price tag than I was expecting, but most importantly, it got the stamp of approval from my notoriously picky grandmother and uncle. This spot is worth the drive.
