I have been to Orcutt Burgers a couple of times. The first time I ordered a grilled chicken sandwich, a fried chicken sandwich, and fries. My recollection was that I wasn't too impressed. This time I ordered some chicken strips meal and a cheeseburger meal. The chicken was WAY overcooked and the crust was so thick I could barely find the chicken in the middle. The fries were terrible, cold and dry. The burger was pretty good. The sodas were totaly flat, nothing worse than flat Pepsi!! Might come here again for the burgers, might try the chicken sandwiches again since I forgot to take notes about how they were. But I will get my soda at Burger King next door!! read more

I've been coming to Grover Beach for work a few times now and wanted to try some of the burger joints I hadn't been to yet. Orcutt Burgers is tricky to get to if you are heading inland, it is easy to miss the driveway. I'm glad I looped back for it though. Parking is really tight, but they have a drive through which was doing good business while I grabbed lunch Staff was really friendly, decent diner style seating indoors and a couple of 2 seat tables outside. Good size menu for the place. They make it all to order and is easy to watch them make it. Sadly, the patties seemed to be frozen pre made ones, but everything else looked and tasted freshly prepped. Solid burger, fresh produce on it and a good bun. Service and staff were great. Pricing is good, definitely a solid value to grab a meal. I'll definitely come back to try more. read more

A solid 3.5. We enjoy the breakfast and breakfast burritos. The burritos are big and consistent throughout. Solid place to grab breakfast to go. Sitting area inside is a bit small, so we take it to go. Sometimes the drive thru can still be busy. Wait times can vary but we have waited at least 15 minutes a few times. The burgers and sandwiches are fine but nothing to write home about. read more

Orcutt Burgers is great for burgers (obviously) but also has a variety of wraps. Their burgers are big, juicy and always fresh, and they're made in the classic style (lettuce, onion, tomato and thousand island, $7.95). The food was embarrassing, no taste, the fries were rubbery, the tomato's were mushy my infant daughter even spit it out, the yellow peppers were old. No love, Geez! The first red flag should have been the service, it was terrible no one had a smile they seemed pissed when we walked in, the first table I sat at was dirty so I sat at a different one and that one was sticky. We go here often, always pleasant. We typically call in order to eat on the beach. Generally their breakfast burrito with sausage, ham, bacon, eggs, salsa, and taters. Always clean, parking is fairly easy, has drive thru, restrooms clean, food is freshly made, and the employees have always been pleasant. We've also had lunch there as their burgers are delicious along with the fries. They have a decent menu and I've not ate anything that was nasty or poorly made. I've never had a quality or service issue. We order over the phone, food is ready when we get there, we pay using Google Pay, drive to beach, eat food. A June 2025 health inspection resulted in the worst inspection I've seen. They lost 69 points, some were reinspection items they didn't deal with. The health department shut them down until a pest control company was brought in to deal with the vermin. read more

Please don't eat here. Even after reopening. This place was shut down for multiple health code violations. They didn't even have sinks working for the employees to wash their hands nor gloves. I was driving through the suburban part of the town of Grover Beach CA. I was a hankering for a quick mid afternoon nosh. I eyed this place. The place is not much to look at. It looks like it was renovated from a prior fast food franchise chain. We opted to go through the drive thru, there was only one car ahead of us. The menu was diverse. Lots to choose from...Burgers, Gyros, salmon sandwich, onion rings, pastrami burger, garden burger, BLT, chicken breast sandwich, cod fried fish sandwich, salads, milkshakes... breakfast. The person taking our order was great. The cashier was also great. Friendly helpful bunch. We ordered 1 junior burger $3.85 and 1 regular 1/3 pound burger $4.55. Surprisingly they came out quick within 7 minutes of ordering. We ate in the car in the parking lot. The burger came out hot. The patty was charbroiled... NICE! Tasty. Lean. Stopped for lunch today over the weekend during Easter holiday. Had the bacon avocado cheese burger, fries, side of ranch (tasted homemade), and chocolate shake. Damian, our cashier, was very friendly and happy to serve us. Seemed to really like his job!! The absolute worst experience with this location tonight. It's 5:45pm dinner time. The only way to put in an order is over the phone, after 15-20 minutes of calling and the line just being busy, a friend was kind enough to go, put in and deliver an order for me and my kids since I'm home recovering from surgery and can't drive. I figured they were busy. I've been numerous times that had a line and long wait, but the food was always worth it But today when she got to there, no line, only one customer in the lobby eating not busy at all. So what, the phone gets taken off they hook so people can't order? (That's a guaranteed way to loose business.) The order: A bacon cheeseburger with mayo instead of thousand island and no onion. Just the burger no combo. And a chicken strip w/fries, two extra ranches and a medium chocolate shake, and an order of onion rings. $38.36 After taking payment they realized "the shake machine was dirty and they wouldn't be done cleaning it until after our food would be done". They didn't charge for the 2 extra ranches($1.50each). So instead of refunding for the $5.10 for the shake, they gave 2 ranches thay were barely half full. The chicken strips were a joke so tiny my 5yo wasnt even full, not at all worth the price. They give us drink that goes with the chicken strip combo, that was $13.50. An absolutely disgrace for the service all around from this place. This will absolutely be my last time going here. read more

I love the drive thru option and it's alway pretty quick through the drive thru. I love the taquitos (3) and sauce but what I love even more is the chili fries. They put plenty of chili beans to cover the fries and cheese. I am so happy with it, I haven't ventured to try other things. read more
