I met with several kitchen designers for this project and I am so glad I decided to go with Plymouth Rock Kitchens. I'll tell you a little secret. I had worked with Edan on another kitchen project in the main house several years ago when he was with another company. He was as amazing then as he is now. He had left that company but I was not sure where he was, so I googled his name when this next kitchen project was born. That is when I found Plymouth Rock. I live in Truro so it's a stretch but so, so worth it. This time we did a small kitchen in my in-law apartment that was rather outdated. Edan turned that drab kitchen in to something that is not only functional but is beautiful and still keeps the theme of the rest of the small apartment. The manufacturers he works with are top notch, yet very affordable and he does his best to give you the most for your money. I could go on forever. He is informative, knowledgeable, and creative. He always is in touch with subcontractors, on the job and making sure that everything if going perfectly. I was working the whole time they were there and I never had to ask them to check on anything. It was done. His attention to detail is exemplary. We have similar taste so it was fun to work with him and it was like he knew what I wanted before I could even tell him. Just remarkable. So the moral to my story is, if you want the best this is the only place to go. If you're on Cape, go over that Bridge straight to beautiful downtown Plymouth and you find Edan in his gorgeous showroom working very hard to make your dreams come true.

I was a bit shocked at first however they are doing a lot more work than I even imagined. Example; my home is antique and well over 100 years old. Reinforcing and leveling the floor took about 2 weeks but when the project was done the floor repair was totally necessary and added so much to the finished result. Also if you are hoping the project will be done in a few weeks, it might, however the bigger the project the more chance for delays. Pros: I was communicating with a team of extremely competent people. Each is a specialist in a narrow field. Greg has an incredible sense of design and really digs into the details. Sonja handles the crew that does the prep, construction and heavy lifting. Mylia coordinates all products to be ordered. Special shout out to Bill who handles anything going on with all the crews. He returns your text or call in a minute or less and remembers every detail of your project. No regrets for me.

Needed to add a kitchen and two full baths, as well as closets, move beam and add a laundry area. It came out fantastic. This group--from Tracey Perry's help with design (amazing!) to Mike Heinrich's detailed budget which they stuck to and Bill Schmidt's communication on every detail, it was actually a pleasant experience. I highly recommend this group. In between my two projects with Cape & Islands Kitchens I did another property with a well known, popular Falmouth builder (hint: begins with an "L"). It was a DISASTER. Do not be fooled by the lower initial numbers--you will pay in the end and the quality of work will suffer. I am so glad I was able to do this renovation with Cape & Islands Kitchens!

Norfolk Kitchen and Bath just finished a major renovation of our primary bathroom and we couldn't…read morebe happier. Their designer (Tong) helped us with a plan to combine two small awkward rooms into one bathroom and worked within our budget to give us a much more functional space. Work started as scheduled with Steven as our PM and he kept us well informed along the way, handling any issues as they arose and minimizing disruption to the rest of the house. The NKB carpenters (Michael and Jorel) were excellent and kept things moving onsite along with some great subcontractors for plumbing, electrical and tile that Steven aggressively coordinated to ensure the project progressed quickly. The end result was better than we hoped and we only had one small change order for a late change we made to the plan. We truly appreciated the professionalism and flexibility of the whole NKB team from the design process with Tong through final payment with Adelya in Finance. They kept us on schedule and on budget with no surprises. We now have a beautiful bathroom that we will enjoy for years to come!

We looked at Norfolk Kitchens, DK&M, and both Home Depot and Lowe's. The latter 2 being the low…read moreball options. Norfolk and DK&M came in within 10% of each other. Surprisingly the low ball option were t so low. We chose DK&M after looking at reviews and remodels they've done. What was essentially a new cabinet project turned into a much bigger job with a wall separating the kitchen and dining area knocked down and a large opening cut in the wall separating the kitchen and living area. We went with a cabinet design from Waypoint that while a standard cabinet are proving to be solid and well manufactured. DK&M (Bill Reed) explained the process and timeline very well and then met the timeline exactly. We replaced the range and microwave as part of the project. Given this was done between January and March 2020 eg COVID time we were surpassingly unaffected by material issues and in fact most vendors were ahead of schedule. They partner with Envy Remodeling and the team Rob sent in was top notch. Very professional, on time , and excellent at their jobs. I did some rough analysis of material and labor costs and based on the hours spent onsite and similar big box store cabinet prices we feel it was a fair project cost. Looking back it was a very smooth process with no drama. We would highly recommend this team for any remodeling job.

I submitted an order on 9/4 for a Murphy bed on line. After 4 weeks I called and they said it takes…read more4 to 6 weeks, after 6 weeks I called and they said it takes up to 9 weeks. After the 9th week, I noticed on the website the cost was less so I called for a status and asked for the sales price. They agreed to give me the sales price and said the order is at the warehouse. The next day I received an email stating the item is out of stock and my order was cancelled - this is after waiting 9 weeks. I called and all I got was, "I'm sorry, it is out of stock." Now in most cases, a PO is assigned to you when you place your order and it will be ready to ship in the time frame they first give you. I asked to speak to a manager and after 6 hours one called me back, saying the same thing, "Sorry it's out of stock." I could tell it was the same person I spoke to earlier. They took 9 weeks away from me, in that time I could have had the item from another company. Very POOR services. I don't recommend them!!
