After a devastating home burglary a few years ago, we decided we needed a home security system. After getting bids from several companies, we were amazed as to the recurring monitoring cost. Very expensive! And the "come on" sales pitches were discouraging as well. They all seem to offer special pricing for a "complete system", which in reality is far from complete. By the time they worked up the pricing for a complete system, that special pricing was quickly overcome by all the add-ons. Not so with Home Security Centers (HSC). The rep came out and designed a system that fit our needs. The installation pricing was comparable to the other company's systems, and even better, the monitoring cost was half. And HSC rate was all inclusive, whereas the others started with one monthly rate for basic monitoring, then more $$ for fire monitoring, even more $$ for CO monitoring, etc. That seemed ridiculous, as monitoring is monitoring, and it shouldn't cost any more if a burglary signal is sent vs a fire signal. Just a way to make money off of us. So, HSC's monitoring was not only less expensive, but a much better value. Also, they did an outstanding job with the installation! Since we've had the system, the recurring customer service has been outstanding. When calling to let them know we will be traveling, they are always very courteous on the phone. Early on we had a couple questions on the operation of the system, which they always walked us through on the phone. The monitoring service is very efficient as well. The few false alarms we've triggered are always followed quickly by a call from the monitoring service verifying that all is well. Bottom line, we feel we are in very good hands with HSC, and highly recommend them! read more

Home Security Centers has installed their system in two different homes for us over a period of more than 15 years. They are locally owned; the company's owner always makes the call to your home. He assesses your situation and lets you make the choice of what to get. He's not a "salesman" type guy. He's a "suit "and you can tell he's serious about your safety and his business. Calls to the company have always been answered by the same person for all these years. Their installers have been with them for probably 20 years so you know they are not guys who would leave the company or share information with their buddies. They are professional installers. We unknowingly left a door ajar and the wind blew the door open more, setting off the alarm. After notifying the police, HSC called us on our cel. We were less than 5 miles away so we dashed home to find the police were all ready checking doors and windows for signs of entry. All of this, and as we check prices with friends and neighbors from time to time, HSC's monitoring (and installation) is LESS EXPENSIVE than other companies. (Most of which are not locally owned, their installers are just guys they train who don't stay with the company very long, they have "sales people" who contact you, and they cost more both initially & monthly. In 1986, we moved into our new home in an undeveloped neighborhood. We contacted Russ Wilde at Home Security Centers to discuss putting in a security system. He was incredibly thorough and fair and we were pleased with our purchase. Three weeks after moving in, our alarm went off in the middle of the night alerting us that an attempted burglary was in process. We ran to the window and saw a truck pull away from our home in a hurried manner. We were so happy that we had a reliable alarm system and had avoided a robbery in our home. We felt confident that it was the BEST money that we had spent purchasing our new home. A few weeks after that, our neighbor was robbed. It was more than likely burglarized by the same individual that had visited our home. Our neighbors were not as fortunate as we were since they had not installed a Home Security system. They lost many valuables and were saddened that they had not installed the system in their home. I have been with Home Security Centers for a little over two years and I am and have been completely satisfied with the service. When we purchased our home in February 2010, the previous owners were secured through Home Security Centers. I had not heard of them so I looked at some other bigger, well known companies. Those companies' prices (both upfront and ongoing) were the biggest issues. I decided to research Home Security Centers and appreciated everything that I learned. The fact that the cost was reasonable and I didn't have to sign a contract was a plus. Now that I've been a customer, I have experienced exemplary customer service. Whenever I call, I speak to a human being! Russell, the company president, came to my home and walked me through setting up my unit initially and assisted when we needed to change my code. We have used Home Security systems at our Cherry Creek home ever since we built this house 16 years ago and wish we could rate them even higher. They respond immediately, are always gracious even though we seem to trigger more than our share of false alarms and have solved a variety of technical questions; the staff is professional, courteous and very knowledgeable. When we became concerned because several friends suffered water damage from broken pipes while away from home, Russ at Home Security installed a system he had devised for mountain homes where pipes break more often. In each location, they recommend a variety of security monitoring options that are customized to each location and make the best use of existing equipment. I trust them with the security of my home and family. Their newsletter contains helpful information regarding current security issues. Their pricing is quite competitive. I much prefer using a local company that is invested in maintaining its local reputation than a national company where little of my dollar trickles down to the people providing the actual service. read more

We've been in our house for 8 years now and have had Home Security Centers as our provider since we first moved into the new neighborhood. We set our alarm religiously and have been so happy with the services provided by HSC. We have two small children that have erroneously set off the house alarm. Even though we've cancelled the signal - HSC still calls quickly to check and ensure our safety. We've only had one case where the alarm was enabled due to an attempted break-in. HSC was quickly on top of the situation and the police arrived immediately (no harm done). Oh yes, and the monitoring fees are nominal. read more

They call whenever I have an alarm, even if it might be an obvious case of me reentering my home before the alarm sets, to make sure I am okay. Their response to the alarm is fast.
