(Don't mind the wires I told them I would run them behind the wall myself even though they said they would gladly help since it the wall was already setup to hide them.) I told him we needed a doorbell/security camera installed, as well as a rooftop satellite dish removed. No problem. A work date was scheduled, and Vince arrived exactly when he said he would. Vince was able to integrate the new doorbell/camera so that it interacted with the existing ringer inside our home, making the transition clean and easy. The camera, as well as our ability to answer the front door from the app on our phone, were done, and everything is working well. The dish removal went quickly, and we no longer have the unsightly dish showing on our roof. Vince's charge for the work was reasonable, and the whole experience was easy enough. Hiring a new contractor for anything always comes with a certain amount of concern, but in this case, all those 5-star reviews were accurate. I highly recommend Vince for any of his services.

I requested to install an 85" TV in the living room with a Sonos sound bar and separate wireless subwoofer. I also bought a PS5 and asked them to install and route the wires. I asked for high quality wires that can handle 4K or higher and they made sure of it and showed me the box/manufacturer of the cables. I did buy an expensive TV mount but they told me that I would be better off buying a cheaper cost mount that extended better and recommended me one from Walmart. They weren't wrong. So I returned the expensive one. I appreciate their expertise and recommendation. They knew that I was very picky on installation details, routing wiring (especially hiding visible wires), mounting location and they did an excellent job. I would definitely hire them again.

How happy you are with some contractor is sometimes not defined by what they did well but defined…read moreby how badly they messed up. While I appreciated his input during the design phase and his work ethics, the mess on a couple of camera installs has left a completely bad taste. When the pre-wiring was done for the security camera, I don't know why the pre-wire had to be right next to the light. Jacob apparently thought that it was going be a sconce - but communication is important. Don't assume - if not sure, ask. So his pre-wiring would be fine if it was a sconce but definitely not OK for the flood light. Even after that happened, I knew that there is no way the camera would fit. And I told him that it would be OK to have the wire come down and then mount the camera below the light. I was really surprised when he told me that he was able to fit the camera and the light. When I checked later, I was shocked at what was done. Not only the floodlight jammed into the camera doesn't look nice, it also cuts off all the light to that side of the house. When I mentioned this issue, he offered to fix it but at this point I don't know how one fixes this since there are additional holes drilled into the siding and the rock that would be visible to make the thing even worst. I certainly did not expect this level of goof up when you pay a professional to do a job. One other thing to add is that when the pre-wiring was done, he kept talking about using toning to figure out the location. Fortunately, I had taken pictures to help with that - otherwise I think he would be spending a lot more time to figure out the speaker locations. This was my time getting a home built - so I did not know what to expect but I would that a professional would know to take some good pictures/measurements so that the finish phase is easier.

This new line was in case we ever wanted to replace the cooktop with an induction cooktop. Most recently he came back to move the junction box, as we had decided to get that induction cooktop after all, and it spec'd a junction box lower down than Mike installed. (Of course, if we'd picked a cooktop ahead of time and had the spec, this extra trip would not have been needed.) Herman from HTP was not only our designer and Installer, he is now a friend in our book. He came out to our home for an estimate and wanted to know what our vision was and what we expected for our homes audio and video needs. He listened attentively, digested what our vision was, and then presented a few of his ideas for us to consider to further enhance our system that not only suited our needs, but exceeded our expectations. We had several companies come out and were told by some that we needed XYZ components for a solid system. Herman, after a few days, came back to us with a quote... Things that we were told we needed by some of other companies were not required. Herman got the same if not better functionality with less equipment. I would highly recommend this company not only for the design and install, but even the after the honeymoon period is over....Support. I texted Herman on numerous occasion during the weekend about some anomalies. Not only did he answer the text, he would call within the same day to address our questions and concerns. I didn't have the strength to bring my TV up a flight of stairs, so Andy come over AFTER he clocked out and took his own personal time to help me out and brought my TV up to my apartment OFF THE CLOCK!!! that is absolutely unheard of these days!!! the integrity that Andy has is amazing!!! I will never go with any one else while I'm living in sacramento to any home needs!!! Andy is Amazing and the McGivering Herman did with my wall mount was CRAZY INSANE!!! We hired Home Technology to install a new 55" wall television set, replace a DVD player and connect it to our existing Home Theater. We found the technicians, Herman and partner to be friendly and knowledgeable but they arrived an hour and a half late for our appointment. They certainly know their stuff, but spent an excessive amount of time setting up the television, such as choosing which You Tube video to use as a color comparison. We had no complaint with their service, but since they were charging by the hour, we felt that it ended up being very expensive. When we complained about the price, we did not reach a solution. We were interested in having them install a new receiver for our system and a Blue Ray DVD player, but the estimate they sent us was outrageous for a few upgrades and labor. Make sure you get a solid proposal for the work rather than hire them by the hour. read more

Another kudo for Eugene! We had a TV screen go black and become unrepairable on a Friday, and needed to have a new TV in place in our family room before the weekend started. While the company was fully booked, Eugene offered to do the install, even if he needed to work some extra time, and he went out of his way to make sure that we had all that we needed done correctly and efficiently. We bought a 55 inch Sunbrite (outdoor) TV and some speakers and needed them installed. Marc came out within 24 hours and gave us quote and scheduled installation within a week (which is amazing given this was all during the holidays) I didn't think the customer service could get any better. Then Jacob arrived and the outstanding service continued. He was able to mount the TV on the house in a way that all the wires were hidden and as well as hookup the TV directly to cable box. This allowed us the send the wireless transmitter we bought back and ultimately saved us 600 dollars. He was very knowledgeable and professional as well as personable. My entire experience with Home technology pros has been a 5+ rating. They responded to my yelp request within minutes of me requesting a quote. Not only did they respond that quickly on a Saturday they also requested to speak to me by phone to get specifics about what I needed to get done. I had a large TV mounted to the wall. Brandon and Jeff were very professional and when they left they both told me if I had any questions about the work they did please call. Eugene and the HTP experience was wonderful from the first phone call to the end of the installation. I called with a desperate call to have a TV uninstalled from the mounting in my family room. I had to return it to the place of purchase and pick up the same TV and have it reinstalled. This was a Friday and HTP were completely booked. I been trying to stay positive with this company as it's been over 8 months they did my install …read more I still owe them some money and have spoken with Jerry several times about my need of them to organize the pictures on my monitor and clean up the spegetti factory of wiring they left at 2 of the 3 homes they wired and the several times they had to come back for the left hand has no clue what the right hand is doing over there. I received a call from their office manager about 2 months ago for the final payment and told her my problem, she advised jerry and jerry called me and i sent him photos of how my screen needed to show pictures for they had no organization to the lay out. He said he called steve and steve called me and I called him back n still awaiting his call months later. the office manager left me a message thursday saying if they didn't get paid they would turn me into collections and turn my cameras off. today is saturday and they cut my service but don't realize they opened their self up to major liability.... I called Jerry and jerry told me he was cooking and hung up on me... look at some of the other reviews and see how their leadership guides the company.... LOL Buyer Beware!!!!
