Guess what? There are lots of high definition television stations still broadcasting in Sacramento! All you need is a good antenna. Ditch those flimsy and weak indoor antennas and have Mark with Live Wire Installations put a real one on your house. He also does all sorts of audio and visual installations for all home theatre needs. My installation was able to use a preexisting satellite dish to mount a large antenna hidden from the street. The wiring was hidden behind the television including an HDMI cable for a seamless look. I now have over 50 channels with all the networks in clear HD without the hassles and pixelation of streaming. I received a recommendation to try Live Wire Installations on my local Nextdoor group. I called the number and left a detailed message about my need and my info. In their message was a promise to call within one hour. Well, it's been over a week! So, perhaps their work is great, but a critical part is up-front communication. Not calling a prospective customer back, is just not good service. Even if the job or location was not in their plan, at least they should call back. Update: appreciate the quick reply to my review. Sounds like a problem with the phone message service. But, there's no reason to think that email is better than a published phone number. 4 stars for quick response to this review. Well my review is very consistent with this company and Mark. Im sure if he shows up he does a good job. Unfortunately we had a 7:15 appointment, it was a same day appointment, but I was off from work and he agreed to meet at 7:15. Around 7:20 I text him to see if he needed directions, he replied that "Im still at my son's practice. Gonna have to do it within regular hours" I said I understand but why no call. He claim's he didn't bring his schedule. I responded you called from your cell. You had my number. I hired Mark to install a complete surround sound system including TV, receiver, speakers with Apple TV, cable, wifi internet and DVD player He was polite, explained what he was doing and updated all my firmware on all devices as he completed the install. He was able to eliminate the need to use multiple remotes and I can control everything from only 2 remotes versus the 5 I used to have to use. The system looks and sounds excellent! Mark even changed a burned out light bulb for me near the top of a vaulted ceiling using his ladder he had for installing the surround speakers. What gives Live Wire a 5+ rating was that I messed up the system a few weeks after installation. I called Mark, he stopped back and fixed my problem "AT NO CHARGE" I was so impressed with this! Mark was one of the most gracious service guys I've ever met. When I first spoke with him for a bid, he fit us in between appointments and was at our home in 30 minutes. He explained everything, gave the bid and we hired him on the spot to do the install in one week. Fast fwd one week,, he was right on time (although I did have to call to verify arrival time). He installed a new 65" TV on the wall along with sound bar while running all cables in wall and relocating our modem and router to a central closet. All for at a very reasonable price. Did a great job installing residential ethernet! There are a lot fewer visible wires running around the house now. Some cables that previously ran around the room were run behind the wall instead, other cables and an old satellite dish that were no longer used were removed to reduce clutter. We are writing this review to share with other our experience with Mark/Live Wire Installation. He was absolutely great, he goes above and beyond and pays extremely close attention to detail. We had a difficult and complex AV job for him mounting dual outdoor TV's and speakers all while hiding the electrical and wires. There were some challenges with the equipment but he quickly and accurately provided solutions! Our standards were very high wanting someone that is meticulous and professional. First off, let me say that Mark is one of the best home theater installation guy's around. His work was extremely professional and he was very knowledgeable. Mark did a 7.1 surround, in-ceiling speaker set up for me which was fairly complicated considering my vaulted ceiling, and the ceiling "lip" that the wiring needed to go down. Mark was able to install everything expertly without any issues. He also charges a very fair rate in comparison to other quotes I got for the same work.
