This is a brand new experience for The Jesse, where they served us a spread of Turkish items that were all delicious. This included olives, a tomato salad, 6 different cheeses, spinach pie, eggs, gozleme, assorted breads and dips, sausage in addition to bottomless mimosas, Turkish coffee and tea. All for $30. Everything tasted great. It sounds like this may have been a special for their first time offering a Turkish breakfast so I'm excited to see if and how this changes going forward.

The partly cloudy morning was perfect on the huge patio behind the Jesse. Partially covered by a trellis of flowering vines, some tables in the sun and others under large umbrellas. Some seat inside are also available. Enter through the parking lot and you'll be greeted at the patio entrance. I highly suggest a reservation, glad we had them because this gem won't stay a secret very long. Each table received a literal smorgasbord of Turkish breakfast delights. To start, at the bar there was a long table set up with various breads, dried and fresh fruit, nuts and sliced heirloom tomatoes. I recommend a plate from here to share with the table. At the table numerous dishes will begin to arrive. Let's begin- Cheese plate with cheese and walnuts Olives Cherry tomatoes and cucumbers in olive oil Preserves Honey and clotted cream ( the table was cleaning the bowl with the bread) Breakfast spread- so delicious Sucuk, Turkish sausage, perfect bite sizes Mihlama, cheese fondue that ever bite was made more delicious when dipped in Cilbir, eggs in garlic and yogurt. Mmmm Gozleme, a thin stuffed flatbread Borek, my favorite and next to impossible to find in this area, is a very flaky pastry with cheese Simit, sesame seed ring Bread slices Cay, Turkish tea, incredibly hot Tea Coffee Turkish Coffee, also incredibly hot and powerful Mimosa The service was beyond fabulous, we had various staff members checking on us throughout our leisure hour and a half brunch session. Simply a gorgeous spot for a devine meal with friends. Chef Araceli, of Flavor Studio helped create the menu. I wave my spoon to her, she has outdone herself once again. Say hello when you see me, because I am definitely returning. Limited parking in the private lot. I recommend street parking across the street on Evans.

The room was okay--nothing special, but no major complaints. The Starbucks is always packed, which seems to be the norm here. Today, I visited the Second Street Marketplace downstairs. The young employee who assisted me had very poor customer service. He didn't acknowledge me, didn't offer a bag for the items I purchased, didn't say thank you, and seemed more interested in chatting with his coworkers than helping customers. Based on what I observed, I wasn't the only customer having issues with him. We also requested housekeeping service for our room. We were informed there would be a charge, which was fine with us. However, after the service, the room looked exactly the same. The bed was made, but that was about it. Now, let's talk about the restaurant downstairs. I ordered a steak, but they brought me chicken instead. I clearly told the waitress I wanted steak. When I pointed out the mistake, another older employee insisted that what I was served was steak. I'm pretty sure I know the difference between chicken and steak. Fortunately, Teddy stepped in, listened to my concern, apologized, and had my order corrected. That is what great customer service looks like. Even our waitress suggested that I just eat the chicken, but guests should never be told to accept something they didn't order. The casino and the room itself were good, and I enjoyed those aspects of my stay. However, many of the staff members could benefit from additional customer service training. To corporate, management, the CEO, owner, or whoever is responsible: please invest in better customer service training. Your guests deserve a better experience. #CustomerService #Management #Hospitality #GuestExperience

I asked the security guard on duty for directions, and not only did he give me clear instructions, but he also personally escorted me to the escalators I needed to take upstairs. That level of customer service really stood out to me. Once upstairs, Ursula greeted me with a smile at the register and even joked about "ONLY having four hours left" in her shift when I asked how her day was going. I was seated right away, and my drink order was taken almost immediately by Hachib. Hachib was probably the most impressive waiter I've seen in a very long time. He was kind, polite, funny, and genuinely engaged with the guests. He even suggested a drink when he noticed I wasn't sure what I wanted. Watching him interact with the other guests around me, it was clear that he truly enjoys what he does and takes pride in going above and beyond. The food was good, but the service I experienced was phenomenal. Because of the outstanding staff, I will definitely be coming back -- and often.

We stayed in the Sky Tower and had a nice view of the Sierra Nevada mountains. There were some bits of noise at times out in the hallways but nothing too distracting. My only issues with the room was the loud noise from the AC/Heater, very firm beds that weren't the most comfortable and a sink that makes a gurgling sound after you run water. But overall it's very convenient because you have full access to the Row. The Midway is still as fun as it was when I enjoyed going back in the 90s. I carefully checked to see if there would be any additional fees, and none were mentioned. I saw the complete fee, which I agreed to and paid. A few days after my booking, I got an additional charge for two hefty "resort fees" which is a hidden charge that I never agreed to. I have been staying with Circus Circus Reno for many years, and this is the first time such an issue has occurred. Per FTC federal law: The total amount must be given to me at the time of booking and must include any "drip booking" or charges such as "resort fees." Such fees cannot be hidden, and they must be disclosed before payment. This was also agreed upon by PriceLine. When I called Circus Circus, they gave me the run-around and said their resort fees were mandatory and to contact Priceline if I had an issue. I know the hotel can easily refund me such a fee, but they chose not to. Beware if you stay here - they can just charge your credit card as they like, it seems.

A little awkward for non-couples staying at the suite; only because the beautiful bath tub is displayed next to the window with no cover from the room, and sauna/shower is separated by glass; and completely visible to anyone in the room. To get privacy, need to close the entire large room to shower or bathe. Otherwise; it's a beautiful place; a bit "outdated" but still luxurious. Amenities include, bathrobe, slippers, hairdryer, shower cap, facial soap, toothbrush, toothpaste, mouthwash, tissue, toilet paper (haha; a must!), ice maker, water, fridge, bottle opener, a variety of drinks and snacks in the fridge for a $$$ price, coffee maker with coffee pods. The curtains in the bedroom/ bathtub area has a switch that closes the curtains; it's a nice luxurious touch; too bad the switch is across the room...the bathtub fills quickly and they have a "shower gel" there that can be turned into bubbles as you fill the bath. The temperature of the room was comfortable. Clean and well maintained, apart from some bits of less than luxurious touch up paint jobs here and there. The view is lovely in the daytime and night. I can see the snowy Nevada mountains from the bath in the day. And it's pretty neon lights and watching the cars dance through the lot looking for parking at night. The entire hotel is connected to restaurants and the casino. The even center is just about a two block walk away. I had a lovely time here. Just don't like the casinos and smoking. But it didn't affect my stay in the suite. I can't understand why this hotel doesn't have any reviews or has terrible reviews. My guess would be, the majority of the guests here are here to patron the casinos, and would not pay attention to the stay of this hotel.
