Cupcakes for those horror movie friends in your life.
    Christine L.

Parking is the hardest part to nab because there is too much activity happening in this block. They are popular for their services and the bakery/ cafe is a training ground. I came this time to get a birthday cake for my dad and remembered they make carrot cake. 6 inch for $35. I saw purple ube cake and a coconut raspberry cake. They had a pistachio with raspberry filling (?) that I will have to return to try. Tis the season for pumpkin so they had pumpkin coffee bread which was the bomb. Service is friendly but on the slow side so just go with it. Channel patience and you won't regret it.

The pan au raisin croissants are the best! Loaded with cinnamon and raisins and substantial in size they rival any I had in France. Their selection of pastries at the Wednesday farmers market @ Kaiser panorama city is enormous .

From their website: "WE WORK WITH THE POPULATION THAT NOBODY DESIRES TO WORK WITH, AND IT'S A PRINCIPLE OF THIS PLACE THAT WE STAND WITH THEM" FATHER GREG Know that when you buy from here, you're getting good food and you're also helping other people to get a second chance to a normal life. If that's not worth paying a little extra then maybe this isn't for you. Their wrap was huge and delicious but also it was really hard to eat it without making a mess (unless your mouth can open that big LOL).

First time here and it will not be my last! So glad with my choices of the lemon lavender slice and the seasonal strawberry slice too. Both showcased each flavor perfectly and with the right amount of light, airy cake. I got the slices to go and did enjoy one immediately, cake was good but when the frosting is cold it reminds me of fondant. I then had the rest & other slice a little later and it was much better- icing complemented the cake 100% after settling. Shop is small but perfect for everything you need. Grateful for the attendant throughly answering questions I had for allergies. This is definitely a cake spot I will be telling everyone I can about!

We tried almost all of the flavors they offered, except for pistachio, and every single one was unique and decadent. The buttercream is incredibly smooth and adds the perfect amount of moisture, making each bite really delightful. We also tried the chocolate chip cookie, which was very good. It had a crisp, slightly crunchy exterior, while the inside was soft and a little underdone--but still delicious, especially if that's the type of cookie you like. These cakes are exactly what I imagine a wedding cake should taste like. Definitely one of the best cakes I've had and a must-try.

The pizza had a nice crispy crust with quality ingredients, especially the pepperoni slices and fresh basil, but overall the flavors didn't stand out as much as I expected. The service was friendly and efficient, and the staff got our order out quickly. The casual, laid-back atmosphere made it a nice spot to grab a slice, though seating is pretty limited. We also tried the cake for dessert, which was light and enjoyable, but overall the meal left me feeling a bit underwhelmed. It wasn't bad by any means, just not a place I'd go out of my way for.

I recently decided to place a DoorDash pickup order so I could swing by and browse while waiting for my food. The only minor downside during my visit was the lack of customer service when I arrived. I wasn't greeted, and it felt a bit awkward standing there for a moment while both employees were preoccupied almost like I was maybe being avoided.. one was restocking pastries and the other calling out a drink order. As someone who works in the service industry, I completely understand how hectic things can get and how easy it is to be focused on tasks when you're busy. I'm also a pretty patient person and can read the room, but a quick acknowledgment would've gone a long way. Other than that brief moment, I really have no complaints. If it weren't for that slightly awkward interaction, this easily would have been a 5-star visit. While waiting for my order to be warmed up, I took some time to browse their beautiful display of pastries and cakes. Everything looked so good that it definitely convinced me I need to come back soon to try a few. For this visit, I ordered the sourdough turkey melt, which came with turkey, bacon, and cheddar cheese. It was really good--filling, flavorful, and something I'd definitely order again. The sourdough bread was soft and tasted fresh, which I really appreciated. The space itself is also pretty nice inside and feels like a chill spot to sit down for lunch, so next time I might actually dine in instead of taking my order to go. Yelp's top recommended options include Steamed BBQ Pork Buns, Baked BBQ Buns, Baked Pineapple Buns, Special Chicken Buns, Pork Shumai, and Shrimp Dumplings (Har Gow).
