Walked in to this lovely cafe. Atmosphere was calm relaxing, very helpful and friendly staff. It's self seating , before or after grab a table and they will serve the food to your table. Both of the breakfast sandwiches were good, one on a brioche bun the other on a croissant both of the breads were very fresh and the ingredients inside were fresh as well. The French toast was a 6 1/2 out of 10. The bread was a little too thick, but it was on a raisin bread which was good. Served with real maple syrup. Good place to grab a nice brunch. $$ Bathrooms were clean! Overall I recommend this place!
Came here for breakfast with a friend on a Tuesday morning. We loved the beignet croissant, it was definitely the highlight! The Nutella filled roll dough was a bit stale but it did have a lot of Nutella filling (although my friend thought it was too much Nutella). We both also got the iced french toast seasonal latte and enjoyed the flavoring but the coffee itself was very acidic. I did appreciate that they made my drink in my own cup. The place itself has a good vibe and a decent amount of seating. You order at the counter, find a seat, and then they bring you your order.
The French-inspired atmosphere is definitely the highlight here. There's lots of dark wood, numerous tables, and spacious indoor and outdoor seating, which makes it a nice spot to settle in for a while. I was expecting some chill French music to match the vibe, but they were playing pretty loud indie rock, which felt a little out of place. The portions are generous and service was fast, but the espresso was a little bitter for my taste and my omelette was overcooked. Overall, a beautiful, spacious café with a great atmosphere, but the food and coffee were a bit of a miss for me.
This bakery is the LA version of a French patisserie. They have everything from brunch items and mimosas to Dubai chocolate filled croissants. I tried the raspberry croissant and the ham and cheese croissant. The raspberry croissant was filled with raspberry jam, and the ham and cheese one was toasted beforehand. They were both pretty good, but I'd hoped the bread would taste fresher and more airy overall. The service was quick, and the inside is a cute place to sit and enjoy brunch or a cup of coffee. Honestly, probably my favorite French bakery in downtown Los Angeles. If you're not feeling like spending a lot of money, this is perfect, especially if you enjoy simple, French dishes, like sandwiches, salad, and baked goods. It is a very cute spot, perfect for lunch, hanging out, and just getting away. You don't feel like you're in downtown LA while you're dining here. The Brie sandwich is my absolute favorite, I haven't had something this great since going to Disney World, French Epcot. The crème brûlée is phenomenal, probably the best place to have one freshly crisped if you are in the area. The prices are very fair, and the service is pretty good. The staff are nice, and tentative.

Hard to get a good cup of coffee without the frills, but this place lived up to our expectations for a cup of brew. The food was awesome we had eggs Benedict with eggs poached just right, served with a fresh side of mixed leaf salad with a touch of vinaigrette. The ambiance of the place is awesome too and the prices are very reasonable in light of the great service and quality of food they serve. Who doesn't like a sweet thing or two at breakfast? The pastry shelf is inviting but also tasty! Great place to do breakfast should you happen to go to that part of LA.

Can't go wrong with a pastry, hot sandwich, or egg benny here! Tried their seasonal Ube Latte today and that also didn't disappoint. Had the absolute pleasure of coming to this establishment on a whim. I checked out the menu and saw that they had a really good selection and yummy pastries, entrees, beverages and such. When walking into this establishment it honestly felt like I transported to another place. The restaurant had such a beautiful vibe about it as if it was in a village or something loaded with so many different deserts and yummy treats. I was greeted almost instantly and was given a chance to look at the menu without feeling or being pressured (mind you it was first thing in the morning so). I ordered a Scottish egg Benedict with a dirty matcha latte and a side of fresh fruit. And bay bee!! Must I say it was honestly delicious and right on point. I managed to sit outside and enjoy the meal with and view of downtown slowly waking up. On my way out I managed to get a couple treats and drinks for work and will say my crew says it was DELICIOUS! Thank you so much for taking care of me and making this experience such a wonderful time. I will for sure be making my way back.

I'm so sad that we didn't try Pitchoun sooner so that we could enjoy a full breakfast, because all of the food I saw at people's tables looked delicious. We both ended up getting ice lattes, mine was something with cinnamon in it and it was perfect. I've already added this place to my favorites list for the next visit to LA.
Stopped in for a quick breakfast while exploring downtown LA. The atmosphere is very warm and welcoming, the kind of place I could sit for hours. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I had an Orange Blossom Tea with a Quiche Lorraine, it was absolutely delicious! Highly recommend checking this place out if you're nearby!
Two years later, and still my favorite DTLA bakery. We beat the rush so could admire all the tasty looking pastries as you walk in before ordering at the counter. I tried their jalapeno croissant, and I can't wait to come back and have another light, flaky, flavorful croissant filled with jalapenos and cheese. I enjoyed my fruit tart. My husband had eggs provencal and a profiterole which really is the best. We sat out on the pleasant couryard and enjoyed the lowkey vibe.

Really good food! The omelette was one of the BEST I've ever had and the coffee drinks were HUGE! The kids wanted Starbucks but instantly regretted their decisions after our food and drinks came out!!! Second time in this trip and will probably return again before we leave! read more

What a pleasant surprise! A French bakery and bistro in the downtown area of Los Angeles, California with a delicious menu and entrees that will wow your taste buds. Arrived in the morning to purchase a baguette, and decided to have coffee and a danish. As we dined and sipped our coffees the place slowly filled with local office patrons seeking a wholesome lunchtime meal. Everything that passed by looked scrumptious, and desirable. Pitchoun was a fun spontaneous discovery this weekend. My boyfriend and I were circling around the area for street parking and found a spot available in the Perishing Square area, right in front of Pitchoun. I saw some pastries and decided to take a look. Wowwwww pastry heaven! There was a whole case of delicious pastries. So many options to choose from. I picked a Chocolate Croissant and a Coffee Éclair. I don't have the pricing for this cause they didn't have a text receipt option so I selected email receipt, but stranger's email was on it and I didn't want to hold up the line figuring out their machine so I hit cancel. I ate the coffee eclair first and was a little underwhelmed. I love coffee flavors but this wasn't hitting the spot. The chocolate croissant was average and could be more flakey. I really like the variety of the selection they have so I would be willing to come back in the future, and try some of their lattes also. read more

I love Pitchoun! Whenever my firm needs pastries, they are my go-to spot. Yesterday I picked up a cheesecake for the team and it was delicious! I've honestly been sleeping on their lattes because wow I ordered their ube lavender latte and it was delicious. My partner and I came here to get some pastries as they had a bogo offer on Uber Eats. The shop is a quaint french inspired bakery. When you enter, you are greeted by a large display of pastries that change seasonally. The shop also has ample seating both indoors and on a small patio outside. Overall, it's a very cozy spot. On this visit we got almond croissants. I felt like the croissants were a bit dense and dry, but they had a nice almond flavor. Not my favorite croissant ever, but not bad. I've also gotten coffee here a few times in the past, and have been impressed by their espresso quality, they make a solid latte. I'm sure I'll return to sample some of their other pastries as well as some of their Resturant items. read more

Pitchoun Bakery was fantastic! The avocado toast, royal croissant with Nutella, and breakfast sandwich were all delicious. I love Pitchoun! The staff is always warm and accommodating and my colleagues love the assorted pastries that I bring to in-person meetings. If you can swing by, it's way better than grabbing a box of donuts! I recently tried their Avocado Toast, which was a great morning bite. I wasn't a huge fan of the poached egg and wish the avocado was a bit more seasoned, though overall it was an enjoyable, clean bite to eat! read more
While in LA for a long weekend, my wife and I happened upon this lovely French bakery. Oh my gosh!! Excellent food and coffee. The service was friendly and one of the servers even spoke French. It was early on Saturday morning so it was not super busy, allowing us to sit outside and enjoy the beautiful SoCal weather at the tiny table and chairs much akin to being on a Parisian street. read more

Super cute little bakery in DTLA, and my friends and I ordered to dine. For the table we got the peach and pistachio croissants, the seeded salad, and a breakfast sandwich. We also ordered a turkey and cheese croissant, but unfortunately we were given the spinach croissant instead. Service was quick and very friendly! read more

What a lovely place as soon as you walk in you're greeted with the amazing smells of all the delicious baked goods they have on display. This is a good spot to sit down and do some work or simply relax and just enjoy a good coffee with a pastry. Highly recommend this place to those in the L.A. area. read more

We found this French bakery/ cafe delightful!! The staff is friendly, food is delicious! We had the focaccia bread with egg and bacon and the Parisian omelette and both were very good! The latte and cappuccino were also delicious. Best part, they are served in a bol (bowl) so you can "cup" your coffee and truly enjoy it! Next visit to this area of LA we will be back! read more
