Broken plastic and hair in my Sonoran Grass-fed Steak bowl. Won't be returning

How careless can a restaurant be with their sanitation policies? Both hair and plastic inside an overcharged bowl is a double whammy I did not expect. Will not be returning back. Homegrown, do better before you catch a lawsuit.

Homegrown is my go to when I have to select lunch options for others. Homegrown's menu is filled with nutritious variety, and classic lunch favorites that mostly everyone appreciates. I especially love how intentional Homegrown is about using local farm fresh ingredients. I was happy to learn about the catering options, and look forward to utilizing that service. This location gets really busy around lunch, be mindful prior to arrival. Wait, or no wait Homegrown is always great option, I highly recommend!

Half a Turkey, Bacon, Avocado with....(I also purchased soup with this

I thought this place would be just ok and I was pleasantly surprised. Now I can see why some have lower reviews. I actually had 4 meals here. I had the turkey, bacon, avocado, with tomato soup with feta cheese which I thought was delicious. I had the matcha chicken avocado which was average. I wouldn't order a salad again from here as I don't feel it's worthy. The bacon egg and cheese sandwich was seriously good! Last I had the chicken cherry pecan which was good but I liked the turkey bacon avocado better. The breakfast sandwich was a 10. Each sandwich was put together well, loved the bread, the soup was hot and was tasty. I gave a 5 star because two of my meals were way over, one was good and the salad was good but a slight miss as there wasn't much there. Sandwich is the way to go here IMHO.

The Super fresh and super good. You will not be disappointed. This is my go to every time I come in town and taste is always the same. We definitely need one back in Ohio. My go to is the grass fed steak & blue combo and it's the perfect match of ingredients. The caramelized onions with the aioli and blue cheese truly makes this sandwich. And not to mention the ingredients are locally sourced.

COVID TIMES: no indoor dining at this time (November 2021) you can order online or DoorDash or in person. They have a self-service system to place your order, the team will help you to navigate the new system in case you don't know how to use it in a friendly way. They have the same menu alternatives as other homegrown locations: breakfast sandwiches and bowls. My favorite is the avo, egg and cheese with extra bacon -drooling here... You can get whole Sandwich or just half of it. For those for of you who have never been in one of their locations, they are sustainable sourced, super Greene, etc etc. They also have organic espressos and coffee but I honestly prefer coffee from their neighbors (L'experience) but if you're in a hurry Homegrown coffee is pretty decent.

Edit: We ordered Egg, Avocado & Cheese sandwich which had the perfect egg not very hard and not very soft and little running, just the way I like it. It has also comes with Habanero sauce which makes it little Spicy! Freshlicious! That's Fresh & Delicious We ordered the Chicken Pesto sandwich with the usual toppings and hot sauce. It was a delicious sandwich, the pesto and chicken was fresh and amazing! We also ordered the breakfast sandwich - Egg , Bacon & Cheese sandwich. I am not a Bacon fan but the sandwich had the right crispy Bacon. The egg was special too! Unlike the other Homegrown locations in Redmond & Kirkland, this has plenty of parking which is an added advantage! If you do an online order and have included ice cream. Make sure to ask for it as it will NOT be packed along with the online order and will be in the refrigerator

COVID-19 take out: We pre-ordered our lunch online the night before and it was ready when it said it would be the next day! The menu wasn't that extensive, but if you like sandwiches or salads, you shpuld be able to find something. We got the Smoked Pastrami Sandwich, Spicy Braised Tofu Bowl, and the Sonoran Bowl with steak. All the portion sizes were pretty large and the food was very flavorful! I could've been full after half of the sandwich and would definitely recommend it!

    Raw Bacon

Bacon was raw in both the sandwiches and the bowls. Inedible raw. Yuck. Kids that work there are super slow and zombie like. Unfortunate.

The earlier you come the more likely you will get to eat the delicious pastries, but if you come past 11 AM you likely won't find much. The staff here are so nice too! Super tolerant as my indecision took over my brain seeing so many pastries! I think not having anyone behind me helped with that - a rare slow moment - because once the door opened I waved the white flag, asked them to pick me 3 of their favorites and off I went. The only problem with that is I can't recall the names of what I bought. The croissant, easy. The little puffy pastry with big sugar flakes and apricot that was very light? No clue except it was delicious.

The menu is quite small with three cold sandwiches and three hot ones, each inspired by a different region of the globe with the South Pacific, South America and Mediterranean as a few examples. There were two salads listed as well. I've been here twice and both times, when I went to place my order on the iPad, the menu stated they were out of stock for the sandwich that I wanted. However, when I asked the employee, she said that was not correct. So if you see the same message when ordering, it's worth asking about it! During my first visit, I ordered the RENDANG ($14). This hot sandwich came packed with SO much meat! Very tender chunks of marinated beef tasted of coconut, curry and warm spices. The flavor had true depth and I could actually taste hints of cinnamon and nutmeg. Thin spears of pickled cucumber and carrot added crunch and a perfect zing of acidity. They were refreshing and cut through the rich beef. A drizzle of Sambal Terasi (chili) aioli gave it another layer of flavor. Cilantro, mint and Thai basil were all fresh and vibrant. The bread was lightly toasted, being a little crinkly in texture without being harsh against my gums. If I could change something, I would include a couple extra slices of the cucumber to balance out the ratio of vegetables to meat, and add a bit more of the aioli. Other than that, this is a great sandwich influenced by flavors of the South Pacific. My companion got the STEAK sandwich ($15) and enjoyed it. The steak slices were thinly cut and tender as well. They do their beef right! On another occasion, I tried the PROSCIUTTO ($14), one of their cold sandwiches. The delicate layers of prosciutto were placed on top of sliced tomatoes, pickled onion and arugula, all between pressed focaccia bread. Truffle mustard was spread on both pieces of bread, which was WAY too much in my opinion. With this mustard having a stronger flavor, it overpowered the sandwich and made it too tangy, especially in combination with the pickled onions. The menu stated this should include pistachios, but I didn't notice any, and they were all out of provolone, so there was also an absence of cheese. For the prices, these sandwiches are pretty generous in size, so I consider them a good deal, especially for the Bellevue area. The ingredients are fresh and make for a fantastic lunch option. While I wasn't a huge fan of the Prosciutto sandwich, I'd definitely go back again for another Rendang!

It looks and feels like a converted gas station with minimum tables inside, a few games, and a larger outdoor seating area under where the pumps used to be. The experience is largely hands-off but not fast food. There are tablets that customers can place their orders, drinks are in a fridge nearby, and they have a few beers on tap. Everything is made to order so it isn't instant and the prices are more similar to a sit-down restaurant with full service. When the order is ready a number is called and it is in a nondescript, thin paper bag that easily tears. My experience has been very inconsistent here. There have been moments that the burger is the best burger on the Island with it being juicy and savory, every bite being better than the last. There have been times that I question why I even try because the burger is overcooked, unremarkable slab of meat. I can't comment on the service as I have had very little interaction with them. When I calculated how much it cost to have a burger, fries, and wine here plus tip I struggled justifying returning when per meal it broke down to how much I pay at any of the Island's full service restaurants with the exception of two. Interesting concept with inconsistent results.
