This is their original Sano which has a bit more food options than the other locations scattered around the Eastside. I got their breakfast savory bowl which had nutty sausage, eggs, and greens in a green goddess dressing. There is a huge bed of quinoa below. Overall, quite healthy and satisfying, but there just wasn't much flavor overall. The green goddess dressing carried the bowl, but aside from that, not much flavor going on in the quinoa or egg. The sausage has interesting texture and blends in with the quinoa.

Sunshine Daydream

The sunshine daydream smoothie and Pearadise juice are amazing! Juice was a bit pricey for a small 8oz but the blend was delicious. The smoothie was refreshing and perfect after hot Pilates! Service was great I got my drink fairly quickly. The decor and ambiance is beautiful, I could definitely see myself doing some work or enjoying a slow breakfast here. I will definitely be back to try that Sano brownie!

Sano is one of those spots that I could have lunch everyday! They have healthy choices: açaí bowls, toast (I got avocado toast and it was the perfect balance between savory and yummy) I'd say that bowls are spectacular!! Most of the customers get bowls. Also smoothies and juices are an excellent choice if you're in a hurry and need that "meal all in one". Heavenly cacao smoothie has peanut butter for it. Now, the ambience is great! Peaceful , with simple decorations (check their air plant) Great if you need a space to WFH.

I love the salad bowls here! I've had Sano several times and they are always delicious and fresh. Only thing to note is they do get busy so plan extra time especially around lunch. Sometimes it can take 20-30 minutes with an online order too. Still worth it :)

Avocado Toast with Egg

Tried the Avocado Toast with egg and it was good not the best I have had but up there. The Harvest Salad was also well done. The avocado was mixed with something I was thinking it would be more avocado and egg and the mixture was different but it was still tasty. The picture online just looked different. You can tell they have some love going on because the salad was gorgeous looking.

Green machine. More black than green

Quite slow. Quality not as consistent. Green machine tastes very different than what we are used to - and we have been here bunch of times and getting same smoothie

i ordered the pitaya bowl which was actually really good, and refreshing for a hot day. the base stayed thick for a good amount of time and i was able to savor it. however, i had to wait a really long time to receive my order, ~25 minutes. area behind the cash register looked really messy, and everything was a bit chaotic.

This little cafe is in a convenient area with street parking around. The place itself is cute and clean. There's plenty of small seating inside, and a small outdoor area at the front. I ordered a banana nut butter bowl, I waited 5-10 minutes for it which wasn't too bad considering the amount of people there. The bowl itself was super yummy! I got it to-go and gobbled it up at home. The base banana was super creamy and refreshing. It came with fresh fruits, various seeds, and peanut butter. It didn't look like a lot, but I got so full I wasn't able to finish it! Definitely worth, and would 100% come back again to try their other menu items!

Excellent choice of Acai style bowls. I can't believe I haven't eaten here yet. Legitimately an excellent spot for healthy food. The Pitaya sano bowl was recommended by another customer and looked delicious. It was a treat to eat too. A smoothie on a bowl. Covered in granola, blueberries, bananas, pumpkin seeds, coconut and dried cranberries. Not sure how "healthy" it is but I feel good eating it. Service super friendly and relatively fast. The inside is clean and fairly small. It was also quite loud. People talking and enjoying themselves of course, but it is an echo chamber. Won't stop me from coming again. A side counter has seats that felt a bit quieter. Of course in the summer the outside seating is open too. Plenty of surrounding parking. Eat well and stay healthy. SYOY!

Sano Cafe is a breakfast favorite of every office I cover in Mercer Island. The menu selection is vast, meal options are delicious, and the overall service is excellent. I will return, and highly recommend!

The food was wonderful. Had a yogurt bowl and golden milk. Just what I wanted. Fresh ingredients. Delicious and nothing processed. I would go here once a week if I was local.

Sano Cafe is the best find of 2020! On my way back from the east side of Seattle I looked up a smoothie bowl place. Never in my wildest dreams did I think I was going to my new favorite spot. You walk in and it's like being in the most tranquil little shop. You instantly feel relaxed and then you try the smoothie bowl. It is fresh, cold, nutty, crunchy on top, flavorful and refreshing. Eventually I discovered their Avocado toast and it was on another level. My friend and I literally the other day was discussing how on earth they get these fresh avocados and keep them looking so bright and vibrant. This place is busy. And now that things are opening up I anticipate it to be even busier. They offer online ordering so take advantage of ordering ahead if you can.

Tropical Pitaya

We dine out for experience, and our experience was very unwelcoming and unfriendly. It felt cold and uninviting which made our first visit unpleasant. We tried a breakfast bowl and tropical bowl. We chose to dine in and our tropical bowl was in plastic container, and other bowl was in an actual dish. The water dispenser is tiny and we could only get a tiny half glass of water with our meal. The food was fresh, but nothing special. I enjoy eating out to experience food I wouldn't make at home. I honestly felt like I could've made both better in our home. It lacked flavor and lacked presentation. I have mixed feelings after our visit to Sano. I think it's a popular healthy choice in Mercer Island, and that makes sense considering it's location. If I lived on Mercer Island I'd likely revisit only for a quick healthy option, but likely will not return.

And unlike the downtown Bellevue location, this spot is in a large business strip, with plenty of parking off of Factoria Boulevard. I visited this Evergreen's as I needed to get takeout/dinner and was in the area. I enjoy the salads and protein bowls here, so decided to get my usual Mediterranean bowl with double chicken for that extra protein on a Saturday night. When I usually go to the downtown Bellevue location, there's always a line, but this was not the case during my visit here. There was only two other people inside, so I was able to get my food quickly. Staff was friendly and happy to assist with my requests to customize my bowl. The food was solid with all the favorite toppings and goods, and they had some snack items and drinks, including local kombucha, which I'm a fan of. There's also plenty of seating inside for dining in, which I imagine gets busy during the lunch hour for all the businesses around the area. Glad there's another option to get Evergreen's in the city I live in.

Located in the Hadley, Mioposto is the best pizza I've eaten in King County hands down. I'm a huge fan of their quattro formaggi, a delightful cheese pizza with lemon zest that makes it sing. It comes with either the olive oil base or tomato base and they both are amazing. The prosciutto e arugula minus onions is another giant favorite of mine. They have the best arugula, a bright peppery type that isn't sharp or bitter. With a little sea salt on top the arugula pairs well with the buttery, savory prosciutto. On the weekends if I have enough of an appetite I order the bacon and egg breakfast pizza which is divine. The egg and spicy base gives a creaminess that is offset by the crunch from the seasoned breadcrumbs. I love that spice. Only thing I ordered I could have passed on was the lasagna. It was solid, but for $29 it didn't feel like it carried its value like the pizza. The portion size was relatively small, the flavor profile typical, and no real wow factor. The cocktails are amazing! The Hemingway Daiquiri is my favorite because the grapefruit balances well, and they also are so refreshing! I've ordered a few gimlets here that also were an utter delight. Service leans more toward great when we sit at a table but most of the time we sit at the bar where service is fabulous. Every bartender we've met there has been an utter gem. i love this place!

We got seated, but there was no wait time. We chose outdoor seating because the weather was nice. For drinks, we ordered a raspberry Italian soda and a sprite. The sprite tasted watered down, and had no flavor. The raspberry Italian soda was delicious though! When our server took our order, i believe he took the order wrong. We asked for a pepperoni puntura, and from the looks and tastes it was a simple pepperoni pizza. This was disappointing because we always get pepperoni puntura and were fondly looking forward to that pizza. If I really wanted a simple pepperoni pizza then I would have bought dominos. It was missing the honey and the cheese they add on top, which is why I'm saying that they gave us a pepperoni pizza. For the price you would think the service would be immaculate but from the visit, clearly they don't pay attention to the customers. The Margherita pizza was delicious and would definitely order again! No complaints for that. The restaurant was full of people and had a good ambiance. However, we were never checked up in during our visit until we pointed it out. All together, I would not recommend this location but the Ravenna location has been my favorite spot of mioposto.

It looks and feels like a converted gas station with minimum tables inside, a few games, and a larger outdoor seating area under where the pumps used to be. The experience is largely hands-off but not fast food. There are tablets that customers can place their orders, drinks are in a fridge nearby, and they have a few beers on tap. Everything is made to order so it isn't instant and the prices are more similar to a sit-down restaurant with full service. When the order is ready a number is called and it is in a nondescript, thin paper bag that easily tears. My experience has been very inconsistent here. There have been moments that the burger is the best burger on the Island with it being juicy and savory, every bite being better than the last. There have been times that I question why I even try because the burger is overcooked, unremarkable slab of meat. I can't comment on the service as I have had very little interaction with them. When I calculated how much it cost to have a burger, fries, and wine here plus tip I struggled justifying returning when per meal it broke down to how much I pay at any of the Island's full service restaurants with the exception of two. Interesting concept with inconsistent results.

Their website is easy to use, and on the few occasions I've had to speak with customer service regarding a question about pausing an order or with help in regards to accommodating a nut allergy, they have been quick to respond, incredibly friendly, and very helpful. Now, let's talk about the food. Absolutely delicious! I love that they have a good mix of interesting cuisines, and that every meal is gluten and dairy free. Over the course of the six months that I have been a subscriber, I've only had about five or six meals that I didn't personally care for, and that wasn't because they weren't good, just my own personal preference. Lunch is always a delicious salad of some form (with a protein), and twice a week lunch also comes with a delicious soup. Their dressings are always so yummy, and you'd never guess they are dairy free! The dinners are SO good! I'd pick a favorite, but honestly, there have been too many to name here. Additionally, there is enough variety and variance in their menu that I've never felt bored with my meals, even after six months. I love that their packaging is 100% compostable, even the stickers they use! Another bonus is that they reuse the bags and ice packs they deliver your food in. On the days that I have a food delivery from them, I simply set the previous order's bag and ice packs outside, and they take it with them after dropping off my new order. I really love this. I have used other services in the past, but I hated all of the waste from the weekly packaging and trying to dispose of the used ice packs. I should also mention that deliveries come twice a week, so your food is always extremely fresh, and the handful of rotating delivery drivers they use are all incredibly friendly and professional. Pricing wise, I actually spend less than I do at the grocery store. I think this is because when I'm at the grocery store, I'm often tempted by all of the snacks and goodies in front of my eyes, and end up putting way more in my basket than I actually need. If you are looking for a local healthy, fresh, gluten/dairy-free, eco-friendly meal delivery service, you really need to try out Westerly!
