We came to mioposto excited to try a new location. But shortly after, we were disappointed. Parking was a struggle, and we looked for parking for like 10 minutes. We got seated, but there was no wait time. We chose outdoor seating because the weather was nice. For drinks, we ordered a raspberry Italian soda and a sprite. The sprite tasted watered down, and had no flavor. The raspberry Italian soda was delicious though! When our server took our order, i believe he took the order wrong. We asked for a pepperoni puntura, and from the looks and tastes it was a simple pepperoni pizza. This was disappointing because we always get pepperoni puntura and were fondly looking forward to that pizza. If I really wanted a simple pepperoni pizza then I would have bought dominos. It was missing the honey and the cheese they add on top, which is why I'm saying that they gave us a pepperoni pizza. For the price you would think the service would be immaculate but from the visit, clearly they don't pay attention to the customers. The Margherita pizza was delicious and would definitely order again! No complaints for that. The restaurant was full of people and had a good ambiance. However, we were never checked up in during our visit until we pointed it out. All together, I would not recommend this location but the Ravenna location has been my favorite spot of mioposto. read more

I adore Mioposto. This small pizzeria could be twice as large and still be filled to capacity as it is simply that good! Located in the Hadley, Mioposto is the best pizza I've eaten in King County hands down. I'm a huge fan of their quattro formaggi, a delightful cheese pizza with lemon zest that makes it sing. It comes with either the olive oil base or tomato base and they both are amazing. The prosciutto e arugula minus onions is another giant favorite of mine. They have the best arugula, a bright peppery type that isn't sharp or bitter. With a little sea salt on top the arugula pairs well with the buttery, savory prosciutto. On the weekends if I have enough of an appetite I order the bacon and egg breakfast pizza which is divine. The egg and spicy base gives a creaminess that is offset by the crunch from the seasoned breadcrumbs. I love that spice. Only thing I ordered I could have passed on was the lasagna. It was solid, but for $29 it didn't feel like it carried its value like the pizza. The portion size was relatively small, the flavor profile typical, and no real wow factor. The cocktails are amazing! The Hemingway Daiquiri is my favorite because the grapefruit balances well, and they also are so refreshing! I've ordered a few gimlets here that also were an utter delight. Service leans more toward great when we sit at a table but most of the time we sit at the bar where service is fabulous. Came in for restaurant week for a weekday dinner. The place was pretty packed, but we were able to get a seat pretty immediately. My friend and I ordered the restaurant week menu which was a pretty good deal. With Caesar salad, any two pizzas, and tiramisu. Caesar salad was very saucy and the sauce was quite tart and lemony. I enjoyed it but I could see it being too tart for some. For pizza, we ordered the seasonal La contadina and La Calabria. The contadina was savory, I liked the bits of garlic and sausage. I did think it was missing just one thing for an extra flavor dimension but it was yummy regardless. The calabria had this subtle sweetness from the honey that was so addicting. The crusts of the pizza were perfectly chewy too. There were some burnt spots which I avoided, but overall really good. And then the tiramisu. I'm not a coffee drinker, but I do enjoy a tiramisu. This one however was super soaked in coffee and 0 rum. But the punchy amount of coffee flavor was balanced out pretty well with the cream. Service throughout our meal wasn't bad. I ordered a glass of wine, but I wasn't told they didn't serve glasses for the wine until ~15 min later. And when I reordered a different glass, I had to wait an additional ~10 mins. So I didn't get my glass until I had the pizza sitting in front of me. Overall, the food is pretty solid. Very interesting pizzas and the restaurant week gave a pretty good deal. read more

Had such a great experience at Mioposto for their Valentine's Day special! My kids were thrilled with their heart-shaped pizza, which was both adorable and delicious. They also had some Italian sodas, which were a huge hit super refreshing and flavorful. I ordered the lasagna, and it was fantastic--rich, comforting, and perfectly baked. But the real surprise was the beer salad that came with it--I absolutely loved it! Such a great balance of flavors and a perfect complement to the meal. Beyond the food, the service was outstanding. Even on a busy Valentine's Day evening, the staff took the time to engage with my kids and make them feel welcome, which I really appreciated. I had to toss a coin to pick between 3 and 4 stars for this review. I've wanted to try their pizza, and we decided to try happy hour The ceasar salad was great. The dressing had a lot of flavor, and I could taste the anchovy. Beautiful. It was the highlight of the meal. The flavors on the ceci were exciting, but I expected crispy, and instead, they were mealy. They were also very oily and you had to eat them with your fingers. Really messy. We both ordered a happy hour personal pizza. Great value for $10 each. Placed on the table, they looked promising. First issue, they looked cut into pieces, but turns out there was only a dent where a cut should have been - on both pizzas. If the pizza cutter in the kitchen couldn't cut through the pizzas, how do they expect the butter knife we had was going to do the job? The pepperoni pizza may have been undercooked. The middle portion was a wet, soupy mess. The Pinocchio pizza has a great flavor profile with very flavorful sausage, salami, pepperoni, olives, tomatoes, and herbs. Wet in the center, but not soupy. First things first, they have Happy Hour! The location looks small from the road, but once inside it's warm, inviting and holds many more people than you'd think just by driving by. The service was quick and after reviewing the entire menu, I realized there was HH of exactly the items I considered. I ended up going with the beet salad which was paired nicely with arugula and a light vinaigrette. I also chose the margherita pizza from HH, which was the perfect size! At 8" it's still a good size and filling when paired with the salad. The gals next to me both had the house red/white and mentioned it was good. My friend got the pizza with goat cheese, sausage, and red peppers and it was a bit heavy but good. The pizza was reminiscent of Italian wood fire cooked and the ingredients were definitely good quality and fresh. The salad was also fresh and tasty though the beets were chopped in all different sizes-not bad but could've been a bit more uniform, no big deal. The service was good, and dessert was yummy but for $19 for the morning hash with a side of arugula I expected more food & at least some olive oil/lemon juice/shaved parm on the arugula instead of what looked like someone just opened a bag and threw some arugula on the plate & called it good. The hash was pretty crispy/over cooked and the portion size was tiny. There was as much arugula on the plate as hash, maybe more. It was disappointing for how much they charge. I visited this restaurant a few times. A friend of mine used to live nearby, so we tried it initially. Since then I've brought in a couple work accomplices with me, they enjoy it as well. The pizza, the olives, the beverages, the buzz of energy running around the place as people are working. Their tails off is amazing. We really enjoy the mushroom pizza, it is one of our favorites. A solid brunch place on Mercer Island. I liked that there was street parking nearby (downtown Mercer Island is fairly walkable). I came right when it opened and was the first one there but even after an hour or so, there was no line. I got The Baker and it felt like I was basically eating a pizza since it came with a side of bread - not necessarily bad, but I feel like other than a more liquid texture (because of the tomatoes), it's pretty much pizza in a bow. My only complaint is that the portions are on the smaller side. I was able to finish the whole dish, which to me, says a lot because I will get a to-go box almost 98% of the time at restaurants. read more
