    Burrito with vegetables
    Susan B.

The restaurant is a pleasure to be in, nice hispanic music playing. Everything is neat and clean. It has an A rating . I ordered a vegetable burrito. It was very large stuffed with beans rice lettuce and vegetables. It came with chips and a spicy sauce. The burrito was not really spicy. On the table were three sauces to liven it up if you wish . The service was friendly and good. They do a brisk carry out business.

I've been to this location many times--it's always busy and always delicious. You can even watch them making fresh corn tortillas outside, which adds to the experience. Once you order, they give you bottles of their sauces, so you don't have to keep asking for more--super convenient. I usually get Combo #1 or #2--they come with a taco, quesadilla, and tostada. My favorite meat is the al pastor--perfectly seasoned and full of flavor. The asada was okay, but a bit dry for my taste. Their watermelon agua fresca is amazing--it tastes like real watermelon, not artificial at all. The staff is friendly, and the service is quick. Definitely worth the visit!

The ambiance was cute in here! It looks like they have a section in front of the restaurant where you can order to-go outside and watch them make the food fresh. Service was super quick! We made a stop here randomly before heading to the airport and they had our food out in about 10 minutes. Tacos were decent though. It got the job done but this wouldn't be my first choice.

    Al Pastor Tacos Order (3)

A really solid taco place that I'm so glad opened up! I've ordered here from a handful of occasions and my order is always ready at the pickup time. My favorite taco is definitely the al pastor taco but I also really enjoyed the fish taco, as well as the steak taco. I love getting a side of red sauce for that extra kick but it's definitely just as good without. I also especially love their birria taco and the side of consume that comes with it. I will say sometimes my order will come with the tortilla toasted and other times, it won't be. I've had some al pastor orders come both ways so that part is always a toss up

    Chilaquiles with cecina

Service was pretty straight forward I would say not overly friendly but amicable. Thankfully no one was there with kids which made it a lot better in regard to the food I ordered chilaquiles with cecina which came with a side of beans. I did find it odd that they weren't refried beans. Portion was okay and the sauce in those chilaquiles was excellent. Def willing to come back and try out more food.

Homemade Taqueria is my new go-to spot! Went with my husband after work - it's right by the Roosevelt/74th station, super easy to find. It's much nicer than eating from the taco trucks if you want to sit down and enjoy your meal. Everything is clean and the staff is friendly. You can watch them make fresh tortillas at the front - que padre! I had the quesadilla del puesto and ay dios moo, so good! The portions are big too, so you get what you pay for. The place has a warm feeling with nice music playing. Only small thing - sometimes you wait a bit longer for food when they're busy. But trust me amigos, it's worth it!

Jackson Heights has no shortage of great food, and this branch of the Homemade Taqueria is no exception. The simple dining room is very relaxed, almost cafeteria-style. The menu is broken down by category: tacos, tortas, encheladas, nachos, quessadillas, tostadas, burritos, huaraches, and picaditas. Given that the tortillas are homemade (hence the name), we ordered a couple of tacos, an order of huaraches, and some guacamole. As expected, the tortillas and, therefore, the chips were excellent. They also offer fresh juice, so I ordered a lemonade and watched them squeeze fresh lime into the blender, which was terrific. The food arrived with three sauces: a roasted tomatillo salsa, a "guacamole" style sauce, and a spice chile sauce. All were hard to stop eating. Of the two tacos we ordered, the Beria was much better. The chicken taco was a little bland, but that's what the salsa was for. The Huaraches were tasty; I ordered them with Al Pastor, which came with lots of pineapple mixed in. Many people ordered quesadillas, which looked fantastic as well. If you are in the area, it's a fun spot to pop in and have a quick bite. You can even sit on the stools by the window and watch the tortillas being made outside. It's funny that they are made (literally) outside of both the kitchen and the restaurant, but who cares? They were great.

Very good new spot in an area of Roosevelt that could use some love. Modern and spacious space with nice decor My birria and taco de Bistek both needed some salt, but were delicious. The salsa trio is a nice addition.

Shrimp taco. Langua taco. Birria taco. Al pastor taco.

All their locations have pretty good ratings so I can't really go wrong. Came around 11am on a weekend and it was busy but there were tables available. The tables are arranged pretty strategically to fit as many as possible, which isn't the best for comfort. The service is nice here. The menu is in Spanish but they do have an English menu if you scan a QR code. I ordered the craken taco, costra taco, verde aguachile mixtos, a half dozen grilled shrimps, a la exotica, and guac with fried octopus. Everything was delicious! This place did not disappoint. Although, next time I'd probably skip the Craken taco and verde aguachile even though these two are a top recommendation. My favorite dish was probably the grilled shrimp. The way they grill it really brings out the sweetness and flavor of the shrimp. I personally enjoyed the la exotica more than the aguachile. The guac was also really good and the fried octopus was a good addition. I will definitely go to their other locations. This is a must try for seafood lovers.

They offer a different special for any day of the week, first time around on a Thursday Margaritas special , Tamarind & Mango nice big glass great margaritas, good tasty & nice & strong They start u off with some cake pieces, has a banana bread taste very good. Next time we stopped by for brunch, we got the bottomless option tried the Sangrita white, good sangrita price wise makes sense assuming u drinking more than 3-4 glasses a person. On the food Carnitas Benedict & short rib hash were both very tasty. For dessert gave the Tres Leches a try not bad, just the right amount of sweet. Another brunch visit & we tried Paloma spritz, good & Mexican coffee, pretty strong in taste. Chicken & waffles topped with bacon, very good chicken good combo dish. & the Lady's enchiladas great taste the enchiladas w the green sauce & cheese on top. My only complaint for the esquite was that it had a little too much water and mayo but other than that, the corn was sweet and all the seasoning was perfect and hit the spot! The main reason why this is one of my go to places now though is because of the smoothies. I haven't been too often just yet but the smoothies that I have tried from then so far have been absolutely perfect. I am just glad that I found this spot as the weather is getting warmer because I know I will be craving smoothies more often. The place is quite small and it was quite dim when I went in. They do have a couple of tables and seats as well. The service was also great. They were very sweet and our items came out in a timely manner.

We also ordered elote which is rolled up in tin foil. It was spicy for my palate and the crumbly cheese was okay. Just wasn't for my taste at all. But corn cleared my palate for the next bite. The rice in the burrito was undercooked. Some part of the grain was crunchy, but my boyfriend didn't notice it. I think I'll give this place another try.

Ironically, earlier while trying to decide where to go for dinner, I had sent this restaurant to my friend but we ended up going somewhere else and came here for drinks afterward. The drinks were really good! We tried the "Sexy Oaxaca," which consists of 7 Misterios Doba-Yej Mezcal, Cointreau, grilled pineapple, mint agave, fresh lemon, and warm salt. This drink takes your taste buds on a ride. It starts off light and refreshing with the mezcal throughout, then finishes with a smoky effect from the pineapple since it's lit. It was really good!! I also tried the "VIP Old Fashion," made with Patrón Extra Añejo, Nixta corn liqueur, Angostura, and orange bitters. This was also good and was smoked prior to being served, giving it a smoky aftertaste. It's definitely a drink you sip slowly. Although we arrived about an hour and a half before closing, the waiter was very polite and professional. They also didn't rush us out once it was closing time, which I appreciated. There were other customers still there enjoying themselves as well. I will definitely be back for dinner. I'm very curious to see what the food is like. I really enjoyed the drinks.
