Dryer throwing error code d90 (LG). Tried cleaning the vents myself but wasn't enough. Home Safe Dryer Vent Cleaning Services & their excellent technician, Elijah, came out promptly to inspect our dryer vent. I felt that my clothes dryer was not operating at full capacity & there was only so far into the vent that I could reach. Elijah thoroughly cleaned out our vent & found 2 wool dryer balls & a Sharpie obstructing the air-flow. He showed us pics taken of the interior vent with all the bends that were impeding the flow of air. He performed good cleaning & maintenance & I will have them out again to do periodic check-ups on the equipment. As a friend of someone who tragically experienced a house fire & the death of 2 family members due to a clogged dryer vent, I am probably more cautious than most. We contacted HomeSafe after the time required to dry a large load became excessive (3+ hours for a load of towels). Ozzy was our technician, and is one of the nicest people we've worked with in ages. After doing an inspection of the dryer and vents, we found that they were almost totally clogged. Ozzy did a fantastic job explaining the issues and providing several options to fix them. After the work was completed, the inside of the vent going from the dryer to the roof looked new. Our dry time now requires less than a third of the time it did before we called HomeSafe. Our dryer was taking two cycles to dry a load of clothes, at least, and we thought maybe the heating element was going bad, but HomeSafe determined there was nothing wrong with the machine. Due to build-up in the system, it just wasn't efficient. We were able to get two guys from HomeSafe to come out and clean at every point of the system: from the dryer itself, which probably has never had this level of clean for 30 years, to the vent hose, through the ducting that travels from the wall to our roof, and also at the opening in the roof. They documented everything with photos and the results were phenomenal. The system is so much cleaner and more efficient now. Our dryer works better than it ever has! They were very polite and professional throughout the process and communicated well. We really appreciate how well this business is being operated. We started getting a clogged vent code on our dryer so I went to Yelp and asked for a quote to get our dryer vent cleaned. I liked that Home Safe just does dryer vents so they wouldn't be trying to sell me other services and they would have in depth knowledge of how to properly clean a dryer vent. I liked that they do a camera inspection first to make sure that a clogged vent was the problem. Ozzy came out and checked our or dryer vent. He showed us pictures so we knew exactly was going on. The vent was totally clogged. He fixed it for us the same day and then showed us pictures of the cleaned vent along with before and after readings of the air coming out of the vent. We had HomeSafe come out to clean out our dryer vent after noticing that it was underperforming for the past few months. This was a disappointing development after having it cleaned out less than a year ago. HomeSafe walked us through every step of the process and used cameras to show us what was going on inside the line. We liked being able to see the before and after for ourselves and understanding what went wrong in our last service call. They also ran an air flow analysis before and after the cleaning to see if it was working as it should. (It is. Hooray!) I also found the process of calling in to be pretty painless - they obviously have a call center set up and the team is professional and courteous. He cleaned the dryer vent and below the lint screen. He also installed some screens outside to keep out birds. HomeSafe has an Owner that Cares!!!!!! Rarely do I write updates but this is one that is definitely worth taking the time to write something up. It is extremely rare for the owner to call the customer back after a complaint (especially on a social media platform) usually its some online arguing back and forth BUT Jacob the owner is different. Jacob called me to discussed the series of events that unfolded while HomeSafe was at my house. We had a great conversation on what I expected from them with the main thing being transparency and not feeling like they are trying to take advantage of me. Who would have thought that a dryer vent maintenance experience would be a high point for me in 2019?!? Well, that was the case with HomeSafe and their entire team! A new remodel in the washroom area necessitated a change of dryer vent location to accommodate a washer / dryer cabinet stack. The contractors did an adequate installation, but it became obvious that additional support was needed to insure optimum airflow and safety. Hello Yelp! Lo and behold, like a beacon in the search thread was HomeSafe and their ~40 five star ratings. COUNT ME IN! My journey started with Mon (sp?), Customer Service Representative who was reassuring and knowledgeable. I was then transferred to Jacob, HomeSafe Owner who was patient and talked me through the potential repairs that would be needed. Finally, along came the Dryer Vent Superhero (sans a cape) Virasay! Virasay surveyed the opportunity, communicated the recommended repairs and completed the job within the projected timeline of 4 hours. After Virasay left, it was time to test the results......a load of towels dried in 45 minutes vs. the two hours it had before. Unbelievable! My only complaint? Ok, homeowners, your dryer vent is important. Even if you don't think that it is. If you let it go, it can cause a fire, but that is in the extreme. More than anything else, a clogged vent can cost you money, in several ways. My roofer had gone up to fix and replace some shingles, and found lint outside the exhaust, and remove it, then let me know. Thank you, Jesse at Dwell Roofing, you are great. I actually had not realized that the dryer was taking a bit longer to dry than before. Anyway, if your dryer vent goes out through the roof, like mine, or you just aren't comfortable cleaning it, then this awesome Company, is for you. They are 'the bomb' in dryer vents. When we first spoke, they gave me the complete run down. All pricing is up front, as best they can, including a potential for roof access charge if they needed to go up there. Well, given the height of my roof, I have gotten used to those words. I mean, I am not going up there, so why should I be surprised. I am about 35 feet ground to roof, with no other way to get up there. They were able to come out the same day. Not that I really needed it that quick, but it is nice to know that if you did, they could. This just happen to work with my schedule that day. My technician, Virasay, was just great. First, he went into the attic, and checked out the layout. He then did a visual from the ground, and probably because my Roofer remove the outside lint, he told me that he didn't need to go on the roof. Now, he could have easily said that he needed to up on the roof, and charged me as such, but something tells me that is just the type of Company they are. I really appreciated that. These days that can be hard to come by. He gave me the firm price then, and I agreed. Virasay took lots of pictures along the way, and explained everything. He had no problem with me tagging along, and asking questions. He offered his advice, and recommendations, and I feel like that he was honest with me, because he didn't push. I hope that I get him again in the future. After the complete cleaning, at a reasonable price. Not cheap, but not over-the-top, either. Not everything cheap is good, and good service is not always the cheapest. I believe that great service, peace of mind, at a reasonable price, is worth the most. My experience has taught me such. I had an excellent experience. Justin, our technician, was professional and courteous and provided a thoughtful and detailed analysis. I was provided with many options but never felt pressured at all. Anyway, back to the work. As I would guess with many homes, my vent and connecting hose were rather dirty. Their cost to clean the vent line is certainly in line with competitors. Further inspection yielded more alarming concerns with my home; I'm glad they called them. Not surprisingly, my builder or contractors did a sloppy job on the vent installation, and whoever inspected it missed it. I had vent screens on the wrong vents and a vent system that shifted with the roof - all in all, I was sitting in a safety hazard (not his words, but my thoughts). Anyway, we'll get that sorted out with another appointment, but the pictures from the inspection prove that I needed some work done. I'm baffled by the misery that is imposed on us by these stupid architects who are designing houses with dryer vents that go through the roof. Put the mother effing laundry rooms on an exterior wall, damn it! A couple of years ago we upgraded our crappy laundry room equipment with shiny new LG front loaders. Man, it was sweet for a while. What used to take THREE cycles to dry, was getting done in one. Then that one cycle started taking forever. Then it turned into TWO cycles. I would get on the roof and clean out the vent and clean out the bottom of the vent behind the dryer and it seemed to work a little more efficiently for a while. Then it was back to two long cycles. My dryer hasn't been working right for a while. At the suggestion of the appliance repair person, it appeared to be more of an airflow issue/lint issue than my actual dryer. I contacted HomeSafe and they scheduled for the next morning in a two-hour window. I appreciated the 20-30 minute heads up that they were on their way. Technician arrived, professional throughtout. The estimate was free. He provided pictures of my duct work to show the clogs/restricted airflow. He also showed me where my aluminum tubing from dryer to wall was already holey (after only a year). Of course he had a replacement but a hybrid version that won't crush or get holey. I authorized the work and he was here about an hour and fifteen. He provided pics of the "after" and air flow meter reading. He suggested a new roof vent that would be better. There was no pressure to do it today. Being a homeowner, it's difficult to find honest, trustworthy contractors. This company is one. William assessed my vent, showed me pictures, and was honest about his recommendations. My vent ended up not needing cleaning, my hose was too long, and the bird cage I had on it was holding some lent. He offered me products they have found to work best and provided recommendations for products I was using. He didn't think mine were the best and was honest enough to tell me they weren't the worse either. He allowed me to make a decision without the product selling pushing and pressure to buy their products. The air pressure increased from 15.4 to 24.0 after he resolved the issue with the dryer hose length and cleared the lent from the bird cage I had which was trapping lent coming out. Do not any longer allow the carpet cleaning guy or HVAC company clean your dryer vent and it's not their speciality, use a company that specializes in your needs at the time. My husband and I purchased our first home together a few short months ago. Since he's from Boston, MA, and I've only rented apartments, we've had (and still will have) so much to learn about opening and properly maintaining a home. Prior to moving, our washer and dryer both worked well without any issues. Once we moved in, we noticed that the dryer was taking an outrageously long time to dry out clothes. We weren't sure if something was damaged or josseled in the move, but nothing else was damaged by our movers and it didn't have any visible damage. Prior to spending several hundred dollars on a new dryer, we thought we would get the dryer vent checked to make sure it wasn't plugged. I found Home Safe Dryer Vent Cleaning through Google and verified their credibility through Angie's List prior to calling for an estimate. I called & emailed a total of 3 companies on a Friday morning. I received a call back from Home Safe within the hour and the professional and cheerful gentleman offered to arrange his schedule to come by for a free estimate same day. He not only called 20 minutes prior to arriving, but was spot on exactly at the house by the time he originally quoted in the morning. (That's already better than any other vendor we've dealt with in our new home) The inspector was so knowledgable, but also very thorough. He looked at the actual dryer cent connection to the wall in my laundry room, got up in the attic, and even on top of the roof - this was all included in the FREE estimate (I can't even get a free estimate / diagnostic on my car and I drive it to them!) Upon inspection, we found out that our "dryer vent" wasn't even intended to be a dryer vent! It was standard attic ventilation that had been retrofit to also include the dryer exhaust. The issue with that was two fold. 1- the escape hatch for the air was not allowing for dust or partials to be released, but was intended as air flow only. 2- the attic ventilation was exceptionally close to the plumbing pipe (I'm sure I might have that mixed up, but just know it was close to a pipe that has moisture). Needless to say, the house shouldn't have passed inspection on this item as it violates building code. We were presented with two options at this point. We could clean the vent and leave everything as is, or we could move the dryer vent to a separate / dedicated line as it should have been initially. When j was first told of the severity of the issues on the roof, I was picturing dollar signs racking up. The estimate was much less than I anticipated. I was thinking $1500, but the work was a fraction of that cost. The estimate was done on a Friday, and I had a detailed proposal including a scope of work by Monday morning. The team also arranged to have the work done for us by Monday evening due to the upcoming holiday! There is literally nothing I could find to complain about from start to finish, and nothing j would have done better if it were my own business. Great team they have there! Not only was the team knowledgeable, but they were courteous and eager to please. I would recommend this business to all my friends and family. I hope you'll try them out! read more

Highest recommendation that I can give!!! Just had service at my house. Not only were they able to clean the dryer vent thoroughly but also went into my attic and explained issues with my vent to roof. They took vent pipe apart and cleaned and put it back better than before. They take "before and after" pictures so you can see specifically what was done. System looks brand new.
