I just used Homeshield for a pest inspection for a home in escrow and I couldn't be more impressed. Our technician, Chase, explained the previous pest report indicated that the home was still under warranty from the previous pest work that had been done and that, while he could still do the inspection if my clients wanted, he wouldn't want to charge them unnecessarily. He still walked around a gave a free peripheral inspection, but I was thoroughly impressed with his professionalism and honesty. After 10+ years with Terminix and having to call repeatedly for months just to schedule an appointment for both pest and termite control on my LA duplex, I researched companies and based on reviews decided to contact Home Shield. Within days, I've been able to have an excellent inspector Chase Berry, come to my home and set up both ongoing pest and termite treatments. I'm glad I did! Upon his initial inspection, he discovered the presence of termites in my attic and crawl space and garages, which Terminix was paid to inspect and treat and failed to do so for nearly a year now. I'll deal with them soon. But as of right now, knowing I have Home Shield on board to treat and maintain my home, gives me great peace of mind. I have to say I was extremely skeptical given the number of ants I've had to deal with over the years. I honestly couldn't see how anyone could eradicate them easily, as there appeared to be nests on my property as well as my neighbors' properties. But I'm ecstatically surprised to see so far no more ants! This company is also definitely very responsive and busy, as we couldn't schedule the treatment until 6 days later (although to be fair I called during the 4th of July weekend). Carlos showed up within the expected timeframe, explained what he was going to do, was very polite and friendly, and also enthusiastically assured me I wouldn't be seeing any more ants! No more smashing ants on the counter, spraying them with minty sprays, vacuuming them up, or trying to block them at every possible entry!!! I can actually relax when I walk around my house, no longer having to inspect for ants. We have had HomeShield quarterly maintenance for a few years now and have been very impressed with the service. I would say the benchmark for a successful pest control company is: do they keep the pests away and are they good to deal with? We started when our neighbors started (jokingly) accusing us of running a neighborhood rat sanctuary. HomeShield got it under control. The service agents have always been prompt and professional; every one of them has had a positive if not jovial spirit. We have asked for help eradicating ants and other pests as well, and they have been helpful every time. We are content, and we are friends with our neighbors again. read more

The technician went through all the items that needed to be fixed to avoid rodents entering home and even brought an odor remover to fix the smell of the dead rodent who had entered the house.
