The quality of the work is pretty good and everything turned out fine, but something that we thought might have taken one day took two days. The reason for taking off two stars is that the three days we met up with him, he was never on time, the first day being over 1.5 hours late with no notice until we kept texting to ask where he was. Each time was due to traffic so I think if you live more down south, it might be ok, but if you're around the Kearny Mesa area, I wouldn't recommend unless you have a lot of time to spare. Price I suppose was reasonable but we didn't get a breakdown of what everything cost and didn't have time to do much shopping around.

The wood post that was damaged at the bottom had been routed along the edges, which he was able to duplicate without hesitation. He actually came in at less than his quote because the supplies were less than he anticipated and he doesn't mark up supplies, who does this?!! Ordinarily you pay an extra percentage on supplies. CJ is not only honest (rare these days and I speak from experience on this), and personable, but he has integrity about his work as well, he makes sure it is done to your satisfaction. He showed up to the job whenever he wanted to, many days not showing up at all. He kept all the tools and supplies I purchased, and I am certain that I was buying materials and supplies for many other jobs he had going on. I have the receipts for up to thousands of dollars he did this on. He also attached his phone number to my home depot account so that he was rewarded w/ all of the dollars that I spent. I removed him from my account and then he went ahead and re-added himself to it!! Every item he worked on had to be redone at least 2x. Either he is totally inept or this was a scam so that he could continue billing because he did bill again for all of his mistakes. At this time, I have a significant issue due to the electrician he forced me to use and he won't even return my call. I would use ANYONE ELSE other than Julio. Run away from this business, he is a professional scammer.

He and his crew always showed up on time and worked extremely hard to get the job done within the timeframe I requested. One day they worked from 7am to 6pm. He's very flexible in his services: I picked my own paint brand (BM), and used total 7 colors 3 different finishes. Other painters I talked with either heavily market the paint brand they get most rebates (DE) or charge extras for more colors. And most importantly the work comes out great. They took off all wall light features and outlets plates before painting and installed them back afterwards; mask taped all base boards and window/door frames, they even brought vacuum with them to clean our carpet after the job. After the job was finished, I also decided to give a handyman job to him. He installed 8 curtain rods and 5 ceiling light features just in half day. And he even offer a very discounted rate to me for the handyman services I got. So five stars, no doubt!
