The only positive thing I can say about this hotel is that it's affordable and close to Denver. Unfortunately, the negatives far outweigh that. I stayed for four nights, and from the very first night, my key card wasn't working. I had to go back and forth to the front desk four times before a staff member finally used a gadget to open my door. I was told I could switch rooms the next day, but only because housekeeping didn't show up, they had no available rooms that night. After transferring, I faced the same issue on my fourth night--the key card wouldn't work again. The staff attempted to use the gadget, but it failed, and a pregnant employee had to manually open my door. Security and cleanliness here are horrible. I was repeatedly woken up by people screaming and wandering the hallways at night, and trash was scattered everywhere. My room was also extremely dirty. This place needs serious attention from health and security agencies. I would not recommend staying here. read more

They towed my car according to the police illegally. The tow truck didn't report it so I reported the car stolen the police called the tow company they said they didn't have my car Later in the day i called them back but they weren't able to release it until after hours so I had to post 2 day storage fee plus the tow. Went to the front desk they said there was nothing they could do baby's they had a contract with ameritow. So I had to pay for their mistake of I wanted to get my car out so that way I can go to work the next day. The police called me and told me the car was illegally towed when I told staff they told me sorry you have to take it up with the tow company. I don't understand why the hotel takes your car information if they aren't going to give it to the tow company. The tow company said this hotel chain is his best customer he tows 8-10 cars a night how is that right And the manager at this location supposedly is off for the month so I couldn't report it. I found this out because my lights went out at 5 am When I reported it to the front desk they advised maintenance didn't come in until 11. Even maintenance finally came they said the breaker blew. He tried to get the front office to change my room but they refused. So he had to call the manager who he advised was on vacation just to leave and get a new breaker finally around 2-4 he was able to fix it. But he told me the front desk refused to move me. Everything could improve. I wish I could give this negative stars because they earned them. There was a cat in one of the rooms and there is a no pet policy. The bed wasn't made, they have roaches, there was blood on the floors, tv seemed to be punched/broken on the top right, someone spit some pill or cough drop onto the wall of the kitchenette/ stove, the floors are so sticky you can hear every step you take, the walls are dirty and splattered with dirty. They would not give me a refund for the following day as we refused to stay due to the unsafe and hazardous conditions of this place. They never gave me my deposit back. Driving cross-country, we just needed a place to crash for a few hours. This didn't look too bad from the outside so we went ahead. They told us they had a room with two beds, but when we got to the room, there was just one. They claimed they were almost full, but this is a 3 story motel with rooms on both sides. There were maybe 20 cars in the parking lot. There was no top sheet on the bed, just a paper-thin something posing as a bedspread. There was debris on the floor as well as in the bathroom. There was only one towel and stains and other stuff all over the sink. It hadn't even been wiped out, let alone cleaned. The toilet seat was held on by a shoelace. Disgusting, vile, filthy place. Absolute trash. We didn't even get to our room. We had a room and a reservation booked through hotels.com a week in advance, we show up at 1pm and the person at the front desk tells us to come back later because check-in is at 3pm. No problem. We show up at 5pm and the lady says our reservation is cancelled. It was cancelled at 3pm...??? She says our card was declined and that they are fully booked, even though we booked through hotels.com fully paid. Another gentlemen walks behind us asking the same thing and she says HIS reservation is cancelled. Hell no. Once you pay through hotels.com, they immediately put money on a secured virtual credit card and send it to the hotel. The card being declined is BS. It's hotels.com's card. We called hotels.com and both agents I told this too laughed and told me "that's not how this works". They both tried talking with the manager but she kept saying fully booked and card declined EVEN THOUGH they have not even scanned the card (according to hotels.com). So, they're literally just sitting on my money. Not to mention we bumped into ANOTHER person who got double charged recently. If I could give negative stars I would. Honest to God - run for the hills!!! This place is worse than sleeping in your car. Here was my experience - 8am made a reservation via a 3rd party agent, and then proceeded to confirm (IN PERSON). I was told my reservation was confirmed but that I could not check in until after 3pm. 4pm I show up and they tell me that they cannot accommodate me because they cancelled my reservation, and that all the rooms are booked. No apology, no accommodations for the inconvenience was made. "De Zenay" proceeded to arrogantly deny any wrong doing as well. My recommendation: go somewhere else, even if it cost more, because it won't at the end of the day. Do not trust. We reserved a suite months in advance and arrived hours before the deadline to register. We were told that our reservation had been unilaterally cancelled earlier that day and there was nothing available. Because we had been told we did not have to put down a deposit and therefore had not done so, we were told that no duty or relief was due to us. We set out into the night with nowhere to stay, 1000 miles from home. We could not have reserved another long stay suite at that point. I took a couple of hours to secure much more expensive lodging, a hotel room, not a long stay suite, from which we moved a couple of days later to a more affordable motel room. Complaints to the Red Roof parent corporation produced only the most formulaic expressions of regret that we were unhappy and more insistance that if there was no deposit to refund, it was a case of no harm no foul. By persisting, we came to recognize that we were getting repetitive and so some degree auto-generated form letters. Unless you are prepared to pur yourself through a lawsuit for the real damages based on your reasonable reliance on a reservation (we were not), just stay away. Zero stars for zero service and zero respect. If negative stars were available, I would assign five. read more

I wish I could give zero stars. Checked in, the front desk attendant was very rude, as she was on the phone the whole time while I was trying to pay. After giving us our room key, we entered and found that the room was occupied by someone else, who was in the room when we opened the door. Needless to say that was very awkward. They then gave us another room, which was supposed to be smoke-free, but smelt like someone died combined with an immense amount of cigarette smoke. There was dirt all over the walls, the sheets were not cleaned, and bed bugs. We saw signs saying that the rooms are only cleaned ONCE per week. Regardless of how many guests are staying during that week. Luckily, we were able to get our deposit back and a refund, but it seems like that happens often, as the front desk attended acted as if it was normal. From the outside the place can be invited. Although, once getting into the room it became a nightmare. Lights where broken, pubic hair was in the shower. The floors are disgusting they are sticky and look like nobody has swept in months. I took a wet towel to clean the floors and it was black. The sink didn't work. The table was dirty. The blanket, no comforter just a blanket and no sheets to get under either. The blanket had stains on it. 3/5 lights work. Then there are prostitutes and crackheads in the parking lot constantly. Drug deals. I have stayed here two nights and wouldnt send my worst enemy here. It is disgusting, repulsive and does not feel clean what so ever. Just don't do it. Do not come here. The mattress had hairs on it. The lady down stairs was not happy about giving me clean sheets. The outside smells like trash and piss every time you walk outside. This is apparently also being run as a shelter for long term unhoused populations, which is fine, however, the interior rooms are woefully subpar. The owners and managers are clearly. It even trying. The room was filthy, with unmapped floors, unclean refrigerator, dusty furniture, smell of smoke everywhere, and a very cheap, uneven mattress. We bailed after one night. The room was absolutely one of the filthiest places I have ever stay in in my entire life. There was dirt all over the floor, there was hair all over the shower and on the sheets. The bathroom door will not close. Upon further inspection of the sheets, as you can see, not only is there the hair, there is a yellow discoloration, a dead bug, and dried blood. I could not bring myself to sleep in the bed, so I had to go down to the office and request clean sheets, so I changed the bedding myself. The front desk staff didn't question why I was requesting clean sheets in a room that I had just checked into, perhaps this is a common occurrence?! I did not sleep with a blanket as that was disgusting as well and I did not receive a new clean one. The shower curtain doesn't work, so water goes all over the floor and will likely eventually ruin the flooring underneath if it hasn't already done so. I'm quite sure there is mold under there. The entire room reeked of cigarette smoke, which is most unfortunate for me as I have asthma. I would have check out and gone elsewhere once I saw the condition of the room, but everywhere was booked. Room service never once showed up, so there was never any clean towels or anything provided to be beyond the couple that hung in the bathroom. Lastly, there was a bag of trash that was left just sitting outside my door for over a day, and there was dry blood splatter in the elevator that I took a picture of as well. In order to get to our room there were mounds of trash in the hallways that we had to step over, carry our clean clothes and food over. Upon entering the room, it was completely trashed. We found a crack pipe behind the light on the wall, we also found blood spatter on the wall from where someone had been shooting up in the room. You're better off spending a little more & staying at the Staybridge Suites or Extended Stay America down the street. Would not recommend. read more

The woman that checked us in upon arrival was very rude and there was trash all over the parking lot with random homeless people and drug dealers lurking about. The room was crappy to say the least it was quite dirty for a "rentable" room. The shower never got hot water just luke warm and on our last day there was absolutely no warm water to even take a shower at all. I never even checked in. That's how awful my experience was here. The grounds were filthy. Curtains weren't hung properly, so you could see directly into rooms. Obvious damage to doors, etc. The staff got into four verbal altercations with customers while I was waiting to be checked in. One complaining loudly about being overcharged, another being "evicted". You'd think my problems with this property would end when I told them I wasn't staying there. That I felt unsafe and I certainly would not allow my children to stay there. The gentleman working became argumentative with me, saying "These things can happen anywhere." No, Sir, they don't. When I remained insistent, he got snarky and said "Fine. We'll rent your rooms to someone else." Like it was a threat or something. After the Booking.com agent called and confirmed that they would cancel my reservation at no charge, I was on my way. You'd think my problems with this property would end there. But wait! There's MORE! Over an hour later, imagine my surprise when charges showed up on my account. When I called them, they said that Booking.com had never called them to cancel. LIE. Then they said that Booking.com had charged me, not them. ANOTHER LIE. When they spoke with the woman from corporate office that I called, they tried to tell her that one of the occupants I had listed had checked in and was staying on the property. YET ANOTHER LIE. I have received most of my money back. I am disputing the remaining amount through my bank and through their corporate offices. No-refund policies are all fine and good, but when it comes to safety, all bets are off. You cannot bully someone into staying on your property with lies and unethical, aggressive tactics. This property is so cowardly, that I am not allowed to leave a review on Booking.com. Don't make the same mistake I did and ignore the reviews. Do not make a reservation here. Trust me, you're safer sleeping in your car in a Wal-Mart parking lot than you are here, ESPECIALLY, if you're traveling with children. read more
