Recently went back on a Friday around 7pm as a party of two and we were seated immediately! Lobster Pad Thai - A unique spin on pad thai and yummy! I'm glad I tried it, although I don't think the lobster adds that much to the dish. Next time, I'd probably stick with the classic chicken or shrimp. Tom Yum - Everything you'd hope for in a tom yum soup. Flavorful, comforting, and delicious. Garlic Wings - Crispy! I do wish they came with a dipping sauce, but our waiter was kind enough to offer us some hot sauce, which was a nice touch. All in all, we had a great experience. Good food, friendly service, and no wait on a Friday night, would definitely recommend!

Sunday brunch was very leisure and reservation is not really necessary Foods were great, packed with favors The memorable dish was the crab fried rice loaded with fresh real crabs The hot water was surprisingly interesting with the color flowers dye that was eye catching Overall experience was great

Food: We ordered the oysters and beer. The oysters were fresh, but I was surprised they weren't served very cold. The sizes also varied quite a bit, with some being much larger than others. I've had dinner here before, and the dishes have always been beautifully presented, which is definitely one of the restaurant's strengths. Service: Excellent service throughout the meal. The staff checked on us regularly and always greeted us with warm, genuine smiles, making us feel well taken care of. Ambience: The restaurant has a lively atmosphere with upbeat music and a nicely renovated interior. The chairs, however, are a bit stiff and could use more cushioning for a more comfortable dining experience.

I really wanted to like this place more because the interior is absolutely beautifull. It's one of the nicest designed Thai restaurants I've been to in the WC area. The seating is very comfortable, the space feels upscale, and if you get one of the Locust west-facing windows around sunset, it's a pretty nice atmosphere. The host made a great first impression with a warm welcome and got us seated right away. After that, though, the service kind of faded away. Our server rarely checked on us, and when we were ready to pay, we waited for quite a while before finally getting up and finding him ourselves to ask for the bill. As for the food... it was just very average. The Tom Kha soup had a strange chlorine-like aftertaste that was hard to ignore. The lamb shank looked good but was a bit dry, and the garlic pepper chicken was just... there. Nothing bad, nothing memorable either. Overall, it feels more like a stylish cocktail lounge that happens to serve Thai food than a destination restaurant for the food itself. Great place to sit, have a drink, and enjoy the ambiance, but if you're looking for outstanding Thai cuisine, this one didn't really impress me.

Sum Tom Gai Yaang. Organic roasted half chicken cooked with garlic and lemongrass. Sides included sticky rice and som tum (papaya salad).

Great location and ambiance in Walnut Creek. Just had Father's Day lunch wi ty my family. Overall - very good dishes and plenty of flavor. The chicken plate was VERY good, incredible taste and cooked perfectly The pad thai, solid choice and my Mrs. was very happy. I didn't get a pic of my son's yellow curry with chicken, as he dove into it before I could take a snapshot . He said it was one of the best curried he's had Only two little minor points on this visit. Being a popular spot, service ran a bit slow would be the biggest critic, along with being out of Singha Beer. The crispy egg rolls were tasty, but literally the size of my pinky and I am used to a more substantial egg roll like my mom makes. But the taste was solid, not sure of the portion to price ratio on this appetizer.

I have yet to dine in because they are normally pretty busy, but I always place a to go order. The garlic wings are my absolute favorite! Super flavorful, crispy, a nice size, and all flats! The shrimp spring rolls are really fresh and complement the flavors of the chicken.

First impressions go a long way. We came 5 minutes early for our reservation, and we were told that we couldn't be seated until our party was complete. I wasn't going to argue with the restaurant's policy despite it being almost empty. I was mostly dismayed and taken aback how curt the young hostess with the eyebrow piercing was towards us. It's not the message, but how it's delivered! Thankfully our waitress Pam was a breath of fresh air. She checked on our party regularly. She was patient as our large party tried to figure out our orders. She ensured all our food and drinks arrived as ordered. Our meals were tasty, but portions were on the smaller size. We enjoyed the roti with 3 different curry sauce. Volcanic beef was delicious. I enjoyed the Pad Thai so much that I ordered an extra to go. We all loved the mango lover dessert. You can skip the tom yum paella since the portion was extremely small.

We had a great experience here! The hostess got us seated quickly and was great at sharing the specials. I got the slushy drink with a run floater and it was perfect on a hot summer day. We got the chicken skewers and shrimp spring rolls as appetizers and they were both great. The garlic pepper chicken was good along with the chicken drunken noodles. My brother got the lamb and said it was delicious as well as the tuna tartar. I'm sure we will be back!

How have I not reviewed this place yet?? it's my favorite when I'm looking for thai with a fun vibe. The patio is my favorite. The staff are always so friendly and engaging. They did. full performance for my birthday! It was fantastic. Food is always spot on, cocktails are great, what more could you ask for! 4.5

This place was really cute. I wanted to love it but the service fell short. I made reservations for 3 at 5p and I was seated at that time. The restaurant was fairly empty, maybe at most, 3 other parties. One of my girls showed up shortly after I was seated, we both were able to order drinks--then our last guest showed up maybe 10mins past. No one ever came back to us until about 5:30ish and after we had to flag someone down and ask if we could order more. The food was decent, nothing spectacular. It was cute though. One of the servers made strange jokes/comments I ordered Garlic wings - delicious Lychee martini- also yummy but the garnish was comical (one measly flower petal) Crab fried rice - it was ok, a lot of crab, kinda wet Braised ribs- they were tender but not super flavorful and according to the server "smells like hot Cheetos". I didn't notice the scent

    Mandy B.

Torsap Thai absolutely nailed it. From the moment we walked in, the vibe was everything, trendy and upscale, but still somehow super welcoming and relaxed. It didn't feel stuffy at all, just effortlessly cool. The food? Incredible. The pumpkin curry was hands down a standout! So rich, flavorful, and comforting without being too heavy. I'm still thinking about it. The drinks were also a highlight beautifully crafted and presented, almost too pretty to drink (but definitely worth it). We came with a party of 12, which can be tricky, but they handled it seamlessly. The staff was attentive, accommodating, and made sure everyone felt taken care of. We even had vegans in our group, and they were just as thoughtful and flexible with those options. Overall, such a great experience! perfect for a group night out or even a date night if you want something a little elevated but still chill. Will absolutely be back.

The food was excellent. I love Thai food and I've been to quite a few (Toomies, Chai Thai, farmhouse) which all have quality dishes. The service here is better and the water is better, even if it's tap, this tap is better than the other Thai places I've been to. The entrees I ordered tonight were really tasty. Got the duck with curry sauce 10/10 duck was well seasoned and not over, sauce was spectacular. Pumpkin curry 10/10 very good. Drunken noodles 10/10 probably one of the best drunken noodles I've had.

Ka Prow Kai from the prix fixe lunch menu ($24) served along with a tofu spring roll and macaron.

Excellent Thai food in downtown Walnut Creek - stopped by for lunch today with my better half. We sat at a window table as it was bright, and ordered Thai iced coffee and tea. I ordered a Ka Prow Kai from the prix fixe lunch menu along with a tofu spring roll, she ordered a Tom Kha Soup with Chicken Pad See You, and we decided to share dessert, which was Mango Sticky Rice, of course! My favorite was the fresh tofu spring roll, especially when dipped in the creamy peanut sauce it was served with. I also enjoyed the macaron they served with my dish. My wife loved her tom kha soup and pad see you, and we both enjoyed the mango sticky rice. Nice décor, good service, and convenient street parking across the street ($2 per hour) completed the lovely TTK experience. Happy to return.

$1 per oyster but typically customers order by 1/2 a dozen or dozen at a time. this is offered mon-fri happy hour from 3:00 pm-6pm

Can they make their dishes vegan (no fish sauce, no meat, no fish, no oyster sauce, nothing from animals)?

Blue neon arches, a huge underwater mural, plush chairs and low tables along the back wall. Worth the detour. Chris was working the bar on his second day and greeted us like a regular. I skipped my usual Manhattan and went with the Smoke Break, bourbon with bitters, smoke and black cherry. He nailed it. That is the one I would order again. Kudos to Chris for making the smoke linger and make the drink taste fantastic. I had this one in Oregon and it was cool but Chris did a better job with his method that really did serious justice to the name. My wife wanted the Cucumber Cooler, but they were out of cucumber. She pivoted to Sauvignon Blanc, and they were out of that too. The wine list runs four whites and four reds, so there is not much room to maneuver if the cocktails are not your thing. Chris read the situation, offered up a Paper Airplane since she wanted something refreshing, and put it on the house. Classic good bartending. It was louder than expected for how few people were in the room. On a Saturday with a DJ, music and dancing, I would guess the volume gets close to a rave. Go Tuesday or Wednesday if you want to hear the person across from you, and you will probably catch them fully stocked. My guess is weekends clean them out. Cocktails run 16 to 18 dollars. There is also a 300 dollar tequila and cognac number called La Maria served in a glass rimmed with gold dust, if you have something to celebrate. Happy hour is Tuesday through Friday, 3 to 5. They are on the ground floor of the Waymark apartments at 121 Pringle Ave with a small patio out front and heaters. Great spot to hang out and talk with friends, and a good pre dinner or post dinner stop rather than a destination for the whole night. When those doors shut you are transported somewhere neat. I would go again.

This Spanish/Mexican restaurant is simply EXCEPTIONAL. It's located across from the Post Office in Walnut Creek, just a short distance from the swanky North Main Street restaurant and bar scene. "Ezkina" is Basque for the Spanish word "esquina" which means "corner," and you can spot the difference the minute you walk in: real cotton/linen napkins on every table - none of the polyester or paper nonsense. Order a drink. Every cocktail is top-of-the-line. My wife had a margarita, and I had a Manhattan. Did the bartender go to Harvard's Bar Tender's School? We savored every sip. We enjoy trying new dishes, so this time I had the Chicken Mole De La Casa, and my wife had the Huitlacoche Stuffed Chicken (Huitlacoche adds sort of a smoky, woody, mushroom, and black truffle taste to the dish). Both were out-of-this-world delicious. AND, as a surprise, they offered an off-menu dessert: Carajillo Bread Pudding (a rich spiked bread pudding with notes of coffee and Licor 43 topped with vanilla ice cream). So the next time you're heading to the Post Office, bring a thirst for something new and visit Ezkina... there's a ton of free parking behind the restaurant. Main Street eat your heart out.

I'm so glad we ended up across the street. It's an open area restaurant with a very large wraparound bar and rooftop deck seating overlooking downtown. Despite it being windy and chilly, we didn't get cold at all. I regret not taking photos of the restaurant itself as the ambience was so unique. We ordered 3 appetizers and no mains. Fried calamari, heirloom tomatoes with burrata and roasted brussel sprouts. Calamari: batter was a bit darker than most I've had, but consistency and crispness the same. Don't know if they used extra paprika for the color. The calamari was tender and a good contrast to the batter. The real star was their tartar sauce which was so yummy we asked for more. Tomato salad: this dish was just about perfect. What you can't see well in the photo is the burrata sitting on a bed of pesto. The pesto is arugula-based, making it much milder and not so basil-forward, which we appreciated. Brussels sprouts: It's not the best we've had but I would still order it again, if nothing more than to get those insane bacon chunks that came with the vegetables. I had the spicy maracuya and hubby had the Irish goodbye as drinks. Both wonderfully done, but I especially liked the Irish goodbye which was their take on a manhattan - instead of bourbon they used whiskey, and threw in some green chartreuse along with the vermouth. We'll have to try to recreate this at home. Service was friendly, but the server didn't check up on us. They looked understaffed. All in all, we would be sure to go back, and drag some friends with us.

This was my first visit, and based on this experience, I'm not sure I would return unless the menu…read moreor execution has changed significantly. For a party of two, we ordered four drinks, two appetizers, and one salad, with the final tab coming to approximately $170. At that price point, I expect a noticeably stronger food experience, and unfortunately, this meal did not deliver. The service was a bright spot. The waitstaff was polite, professional, and attentive throughout the evening. Unfortunately, the food was where the experience fell short. The cauliflower and spicy tuna appetizers both had acceptable presentation, but the flavors and execution were disappointing. The ingredients did not seem particularly well balanced, and both dishes felt like they needed the chef to revisit the seasoning, composition, and overall preparation. Neither appetizer left an impression worth repeating. The Asian chicken salad had potential, but the quality and freshness of the ingredients kept it from standing out. A salad built around fresh, crisp ingredients should feel vibrant, yet this one came across as somewhat tired and lacking the freshness I would expect. Another point worth mentioning is the 20% gratuity that was automatically added to the bill. While I understand that some restaurants have automatic gratuity policies, it was unexpected for a party of two and felt somewhat excessive given the overall dining experience. I would have preferred that the policy be clearly communicated upfront. I typically include photos with my reviews, but the only photo I took on this visit was of the receipt, which probably says enough about how memorable the food was. Overall: The service was professional, but the food did not justify the approximately $170 price tag for two. There are plenty of restaurants where I would expect a more memorable and thoughtfully executed meal at this price point.

Observations: 1) The place is very small. They sit you outside in a very windy alley. The food gets cold within 5min or so. Heaters don't help that much. 2) When you make a reservation on OpenTable you choose "Standard seating" - it doesn't mean inside. Inside capacity is about 50 or so ppl with 10 or so by the bar. So capacity is very limited. 3) We ordered lemonade for kids. They serve it in short glasses filled with ice to the brim (despite our ask for "no ice"), effectively reducing the liquid volume. We paid $35 for lemonade. 4) Food is very uneventful, nothing was remarkable. Their gnocchi with meat resembled Chef Boyardee from back in college times. Not sure why this place felt so pretentious with really no substance to back it. With so many options around like Montecatini, Doppio Zero, Benvenuti, La Fontaine, etc, not sure how they are still in business. Definitely not recommended for families, and have a hard time figuring out what audience they cater to.

Fantastic drink. My friend tasted mine and ordered the same. The selection is the draw here. Whiskey lines the entire back wall, the rarer bottles sit behind wire-mesh locked cabinets, and there is a deep bench of tequila, beer on tap, and wine to round things out. One look at the shelves tells you they have the base for any drink you want. We split the Margherita flatbread, pesto, fresh mozzarella, and blistered cherry tomatoes, and it hit the spot as a drinking snack. The menu goes deeper than expected for a bar, with sliders, naan tacos, and charcuterie if you show up hungry. Service was good considering the staff-to-crowd ratio. Sevan stayed attentive the whole time and clearly knows his stuff. The vibe is chill and conversation-friendly, not too loud for the size of the room, with a bank of TVs toward the back if you want to catch a game. Logistics are easy. The bar sits a short walk from Pleasant Hill BART and parking in the area was no trouble. I've been a few times before and this visit confirmed why I keep coming back. For a high quality cocktail in the East Bay, this is the spot.
