Spicy Eggplant shrimp chicken lunch special
    Debbie F.

Food here is always fantastic! Lunch specials include soup, rice, salad and entree. Today with had cashew chicken, spicy eggplant with prawns and chicken and pra ram chicken. All were outstanding with fresh food and generous portions. Restaurant is clean and has a nice ambiance. Service is also good

Lunch menu with amazing coconut curry soup. I had the spicy basil chicken, which was excellent. Service was fast and friendly.

Lunch menu comes with amazing coconut curry chicken soup! The spicy basil chicken was excellent, the steamed rice had a great texture, and service was fast and friendly. Will be back!

    Chicken with garlic sauce

Atmosphere was lovely and food was delicious! We had the duck pineapple, curry, green papaya salad with the addition of prawns, barbecue pork (so delicious) and a chicken with garlic sauce. This green papaya salad had all kinds of delicious additions, which I enjoy! Sometimes you get the green papaya salad, and it can be rather skimpy with mostly iceberg lettuce and the shredded green papaya. They had plenty of peanuts and other vegetables with basil added. The prawns really stand out! We both had a Thai iced coffee. My sister goes to this restaurant frequently at least once per quarter and often times with her coworkers. This was my second time and I would go again and again. I love the shopping center as well. They have a Lunardi's market and even a watch/clock repair shop in the La Paza at Polos Verdes Mall/Shopping Center. This Thai restaurant is a keeper !!

There was a slight mishap this time though I made the reservation about three days before Valentine's Day and received a confirmation text. Then the day before Valentine's Day, I got another text saying my reservation was canceled, which definitely threw me off. Thankfully, I called the restaurant and they were able to get everything situated and reinstate my reservation. That was a relief. When we arrived, we were greeted by the hostess who asked if we had a reservation and then directed us to our table. I really liked our table location it felt comfortable and perfect for a date night. The ambience of the restaurant was nice and set the tone for a great evening. Our waitress was friendly and attentive. For drinks, I got a Summer Breeze and my girl had the Tai Chi. For appetizers, we ordered the Lady Fingers which I never had before but were really good. For our main dishes, we had the pineapple fried rice, cashew chicken, and Pad See Ew. I stepped out of my food comfort zone with the cashew chicken and Pad See Ew, but I made the right decision because both dishes were delicious. One unexpected kicker was that they boxed up our leftovers for us, which was a really nice touch and something I appreciated. Overall, this was a great Valentine's Day experience. The ambience was nice, the food was good, and the service was solid. I'd rate my experience a 10 out of 10 and will definitely be back.

I ask the waitress (different than the food runner) if this is accurate and if it is a violation to which she says yes and then takes our food away. we do have to wait quite a bit of time until our remade food comes out but it is what it is. additionally, when the remade food arrives, the non baked sushi looks exactly the same as it was before. im guessing their plating skills are exquisite and accurate because the waitress saw my concern and also brought out the contaminated plate to show us that the one at our table was newly made, as shown in the photos. i really appreciated that clarification but it seems as though they just don't care about basic health code protocol here or constantly slip up, which is rather unfortunate. and all in the name of having some japanese/thai food with the family.

The coconut balanced with Thai basil and spices provided a nice spicy kick to it as well that wasn't too overpowering. The seafood, from the shrimp to squid, was cooked to tender perfection and was not rubbery or overcooked. I was kind of thrown off with the portions so much that I didn't take pictures of everything. We ordered tom kha gai, chicken wings, chicken satay, crab fried rice, pad see ew, green curry eggplant with chicken, and garlic calamari. Of all the dishes, I really enjoyed the pad see ew. I gave Imm Thai another try, tried Thai Table, and even Glom Thai (which replaced Sistory), but none of them had the same quality or flavors I had been missing. Then I found out the owners of Sistory had opened Saneh Bangkok in Pleasant Hill, so we decided to celebrate my aunt's birthday there. Wow, it exceeded all of our expectations. Every single dish was outstanding, and honestly, even better than I remembered from Sistory. We ordered the Pad Thai, Pad Kee Mao, Red Curry, Spring Rolls, and the fried chicken with roti and Massaman curry. Everything was perfectly seasoned, fresh, and packed with flavor. The noodles had that authentic wok flavor I'd been searching for, the curry was rich and delicious, and the roti with Massaman curry was absolutely incredible. The portions were generous, the service was warm and attentive, and the whole experience reminded me why I loved Sistory so much in the first place. We were so full that we didn't have room for dessert, but next time I am definitely getting the mango sticky rice! We started with the Peak Gai Tod (chicken wings). They were fried to perfection, and the sauce they came with paired so well with the wings! Our favorite dish was definitely the Pla Gapoeng Saam Roed (fried sea bass with spicy tamarind sauce). The fish was crispy, but that sauce was the real game changer! It was the perfect balance of sweet and sour with just the right amount of spice. So good! We also tried the Saam Chun Tod Nam Pla (crispy fried pork belly). The flavor was good, but the pork belly was a little too hard for my liking. My husband, on the other hand, really enjoyed it. The Thai tea was decent as well. Overall, we really enjoyed our meal and would definitely come back! The only downside for me was that the restaurant felt a little tight and could definitely use more space. They actually have three (3) locations in the Bay Area; Walnut Creek, Danville, and the location I am reviewing, San Ramon. This particular location opened its doors back in early-2018 and has had very positive feedback up to the present day. Located in an upscale strip mall on the corner of Bollinger Canyon Rd & Alcosta Blvd in the Marketplace Shopping Center in San Ramon, this place is just a few minutes from Highway 680. Parking was fairly easy to find, even during our visit which was on Saturday 8/8/2026 at around 7:15pm. Even though my lady and I didn't make reservations, we were seated immediately even with as busy as it was. The interior dining area is small but offers ample space complete with various booths and tables for small and larger guests. The beige walls with the brown ceilings and hanging lights really gave the overall appearance a cozy yet upscale one. Keep in mind that this place can get loud (mainly during the busy nights and weekends) so if you're looking for a quiet, romantic dining experience, this might not be your best option. As for their menu, they offer a very respectable number of choices. This includes appetizers, soups, salads, noodles, fried rice, curry dishes, and main entrées. Many of the traditional Thai favorites are found here as well as tofu dishes (for the vegans) and seafood dishes (for the pescatarians). As for our entrées, my lady went with their "Pad See Ew" which included pan-fried thick rice noodles with beef (as her protein), Chinese broccoli and eggs in sweet black soy sauce. I went with their "Seafood Hot Plate" which offered prawns, scallops, calamari, fish and mussels with peppercorn, bell pepper, onions, ginger root and basil sauteed in a spicy sweet chili paste sauce. We both split a side of rice and for drinks, I went with a "Thai Iced Tea" while she ordered a diet soda. I will say that for it being a Saturday evening, our food came out in less than 10 minutes! That's a huge plus considering how hungry we both were. As for our dishes, hers was cooked to perfection with the perfect amount of sweet, salty, and savory in the noodles, veggies, eggs, and beef. Mine though was a bit on the spicy side. I've had my fair share of Thai dishes over the past few decades, and this seafood hot plate took "hot" to a whole other level of spicy. I also wanted to add that there wasn't a whole abundance of seafood as I found way more bell peppers and onions than anything else. However, service was top notch while the prices were lower than many other Thai restaurants in the Bay Area. All in all, I am giving "Andaman Thai" an above average four-star rating. While her dish was excellent with a decent amount of meat, mine was just average at-best with not enough seafood. This place does have fairly decent hours of operation being open seven days a week from 11am-2:30pm (for lunch) and 5-9pm (for dinner). I definitely see myself returning and possibly checking out their other locations. But for small or large parties, I highly recommend checking them out.
