Parking is really easy right outside the restaurant as the parking lot area is large. The service has always been friendly, and their dining area includes a well-sized, wood-focused interior. They offer classic Thai dishes, and for our family, the dishes we enjoy the most include their pad thai noodles with shrimp, the roasted duck with dark soy dipping sauce, the red coconut duck curry over jasmine rice, mild chicken potato yellow curry, and their pineapple fried rice. The flavor of their crispy spring rolls is good but sometimes they are just a little greasy. Overall, a solid Thai venue that holds a place on our restaurant Rolodex list. read more

Let me preface this by saying Thai is my 2nd favorite cuisine. Matter of fact, I had Thai food last night. That said, I didn't enjoy the food from Do Sit. Which was a bit surprising because I've heard positive things about it. Anyway, I got an order of Pad Thai to go. When I got it home and plated it, it didn't even meet the eye test. Atmosphere was lovely and food was delicious! We had the duck pineapple, curry, green papaya salad with the addition of prawns, barbecue pork (so delicious) and a chicken with garlic sauce. This green papaya salad had all kinds of delicious additions, which I enjoy! Sometimes you get the green papaya salad, and it can be rather skimpy with mostly iceberg lettuce and the shredded green papaya. They had plenty of peanuts and other vegetables with basil added. The prawns really stand out! We both had a Thai iced coffee. My sister goes to this restaurant frequently at least once per quarter and often times with her coworkers. This was my second time and I would go again and again. I love the shopping center as well. They have a Lunardi's market and even a watch/clock repair shop in the La Paza at Polos Verdes Mall/Shopping Center. This Thai restaurant is a keeper !! read more

Saw great reviews and decided to come try this cute Thai eatery. Let's start with the positive sides. The decor is nice and it has a good ambiance and seemingly wide selection of wines. The wait staff was very friendly and warm. I also noticed the portion here is quite generous and they even offer lunch specials. Now the food itself honestly to me was just OK. We have a favorite Thai restaurant but live near Do Sit so we tried it recently for convenience sake. Dishes were hit or miss. The BBQ pork was delicious. The pork was juicy and tender. The beef larb salad was disappointing. I thought the meat would be minced but it was cut in strips that were chewy. The chicken green curry was the biggest disappointment. The curry itself was spicy and tasty, but the chunks of eggplant were cut way too big and both it and the green beans were not even close to being cooked. Nothing like undercooked eggplant to spoil a dish. I see many good reviews for the food, so I'm wondering why ours fell so short. Maybe we'll give them another try at some point. Their prices aren't cheap, so we may just drive the extra distance to our tried and true Thai restaurant instead. read more

My date brought me here on Feb. 13 for our Valentines dinner since he'd be unavailable the next evening. After mistaking the entrance door (date thought he was going into the veterinarian office next door; then we walked around to what LOOKED like the front door, only to be advised by a sign to "Use OtherDoor" with an arrow directing us back to the first door!), we walked into a lovely restaurant with charming booths and small tables. (We were pleased to be offered a booth, but then they had just opened for the day, so the place wasn't too crowded yet. Many more tables had filled by the time we left about 70 minutes later.) Table was graced with a small lamp that offered a lovely bit of mood lighting. I ordered one of the Chef's Favorites: Pumpkin Curry (served with chicken and shrimp), with a side of jasmine rice; Date requested Pad Thai and we shared both dishes. We both ordered water for our beverage, and it turned out to be a perfect meal! The pumpkin curry was outstanding: savory with a touch of sweetness, and the mix of vegetables included provided interesting textures and spicy surprises [sauteed bell pepper pieces] to delight the palate. The chicken and shrimp that came with the dish were toothsome and provided ample protein. My date enthused that his selection was "a VERY GOOD pad thai!," to which I could only agree. Service was prompt and courteous, and our server returned several times times to refill our glasses and see if we were pleased with our meals (we were!) and whether we wished to order anything more (we did not). This turned out to be a perfect meal in many ways: tasty; healthful; and a perfect amount of food that had us well-satisfied without feeling bloated. They have a big menu but we ended up ordering lunch specials. My partner got the papaya salad and pumpkin curry and I ordered the chicken yellow curry. I have a handful favorite Thai restaurants in the area, and each one does a particular dish exactly the way I like it. Do Sit Thai is my top choice for Tom Kha Gai, because the broth here is always consistently on point, never too salty or spicy, and the chicken they use is tender and very high-quality. If you're as addicted to chicken coconut soup as I am and haven't tried Do Sit's yet, stop reading this and just go there now and enjoy some. However, this review wasn't prompted by my regular take-out orders of soup, but rather my dine-in experience last night. I decided to try something a little heartier and ordered the chicken Pad See Ew instead. Once again, I found the chicken here to be some of the best quality I've been served at any Thai restaurant. Very tender, a mix of dark and white, and expertly cooked. The prices here are a bit higher than other Thai restaurants in the area, but if the gain is better quality, I'm OK paying a bit more. The flavor of the Pad See Ew was an awesome combo of sweet/savory deliciousness, and the dinner portion was very generous. The noodles were cooked to the perfect level of softness, not over or under. The bottomless hot tea was much appreciated as well. My friend ordered one of the curry dinners and a Thai Iced Tea, and she enjoyed her meal very much. This is a small Thai Food restaurant, located at the Palos Verde shopping center in Walnut Creek. We've eaten here many of times before, I just forgot to give it a review until we ate there the other night. The wait staff is prompt, they greet you & seat you immediately, so long as there's seating available. Actually we have never had to wait to be seated, but we usually go later, as the tables are turning over. We started with their crispy veggie rolls that are served with a light sweet & sour sauce. Done very well, served pipping hot, so don't just bite into them, cut in half or poke holes with your folk or it will be too hot for your mouth. We shared the spicy basil chicken, my hubby had brown rice, while I went with white. The dish was on point, just the right amount of spice as to hot, just melts in your mouth as to savory; one of my favorite dishes here.
