They packaged all the food very well, and I thought all the portions were generous! Would order from here again.

I always get their mango sticky rice when I am having a bad day, they make it perfectly and it's a good portion

Amazing food experience! We've been to Bangkok last year and so far, this is the only place that satisfies our Thai craving! Service is efficient & staff are nice! Ambiance is with the usual Thai aesthetics, although building is kinda old compared to the new Thai establishments in Pleasant Hill.

Solid Thai food option in Pleasant Hill. The decor stands out at this place. We ordered the sizzling seafood platter, the pineapple roast duck curry, and the chicken pad see ew. The sizzling seafood platter was tasty but not very sizzling. The duck curry was great.

Took my picky nephews for Thai food and they could not stop eating the beef soup and the beef bbq! The owner was so sweet, she offered the boys fried ice cream, which they loved. The ambiance is very relaxing and family friendly!

    Mushy soggy pineapple fried rice

I usually ordered TomYum noodle soup from this place, and their soup flavor was very good. Today i decided to try something new so i ordered fried rice from them, and upon opening the container, omg, it looked like rice cake instead of fried rice. It is so soggy and mushy, almost cook a little bit longer and it turns into porridge for you. I could not believe my favorite Thai place could serve such food to the customer, so i kept digging through the whole container to see if the underneath layer will be better, but nope, it was way worse. I broke my plastic spoon trying to scoop up the rice, which tells you how wet the rice was. I just don't understand, how could they have the heart to serve such food to the customer? It's like they overcooked the rice and instead of throwing it away, they fried it anyway and serve it to me. What are they treating me as? Their garbage can?

Great papaya salad. Tom yum was ok, the juicy shrimp in it made it decent. Its flavor was more gentle/light, and tomato-ish compared to other tom yum I have had. Prices & portions were very fair. I will say tom yum for this portion is great for the area. Cute, feminine & floral decorations. Their service was attentive and my meals came out quick.

Hidden spot tucked away in a shopping center! Very good and flavorful food with great service from staff. Staff was attentive and quick, food came out quick and hot! I got the drunken noodles with was full of veggie and chicken, I wish it had a tad bit more noodles itself but great flavor and fresh! I'd return to try more off their menu!

This is one of my and my husband's go-to spots for Thai food in the East Bay. I first went here a few years back, and dropped in recently for lunch the other day because I was craving Thai papaya salad. Glad to know that My Thai's food is still as delicious as the first time I had it! The papaya salad was exactly what I was expecting - satisfyingly crunchy, refreshing, and tangy. It was the perfect side to go with our other food selections. Thai BBQ chicken with sticky rice -- tender, juicy, full of flavor. With the sticky rice and papaya salad? Ultimate combo! And of course, Pad See Ew, a classic. The perfect noodle side dish to accompany your meal! Our food came out steaming hot, and rather quickly since we came in on a weekday afternoon. Our server checked in with us multiple times, which we appreciated. And our total for the meal was decently priced. We were very happy! My Thai is nestled in a small plaza in Pleasant Hill, across from the Grocery Outlet in the area. They have a decent amount of parking, but can get pretty congested when busy. The restaurant is a good size, moderate amount of seating available, but can easily fill up on a busy night. This is, and will stay, one of our go-to Thai restaurants when we're craving it and are visiting this area.

This review is for June 2025. FOOD: - Pad See Ew with Beef $16.95 - 4/5 This was tasty but a little bit too sweet. - Spicy Combo Noodle Soup $14.95 - 3/5 Not as good as I thought it would be. The soup didn't have much flavor and the noodles were flat meaning there's no chew to it like the noodles in the Pad See Ew. - Lunch Special, Pad Prik Sod $13.95 Comes with a side salad. - Lunch Special, Pad Ginger $13.95 Comes with a side salad.

Their curry chicken is watered down and can barely taste the curry itself. Authentic but not authentic enough.

I was invited to Isla Grand in Pleasant Hill as first-timer with what I thought was a solid plan:…read moreobserve quietly, eat politely, and not embarrass myself. The universe had other plans. Because I was introduced to the kamayan feast, which is basically what happens when a table decides utensils are optional, manners get relaxed, and food is no longer "served" so much as presented as a shared event happening directly in front of you. At first, I hesitated. I did the classic first-timer move--hovering my hand slightly above the food like I was trying to ask permission from the rice itself. Everyone else, however, was already fully committed. No forks. No hesitation. Just confidence and garlic rice. So I adapted. Quickly. And suddenly, I understood. The table was covered in a spread of Filipino traditional dishes that didn't feel like separate items--they felt like one coordinated experience. Garlic rice acting like the foundation of everything. Rich, savory meats layered in with bold seasoning and slow-cooked depth. Bright, tangy bites cutting through the richness at just the right moments like they'd been choreographed by someone's very opinionated lola. Every bite was slightly chaotic in the best way because there's no "correct" path. You just build your own perfect forkless (well... utensil-less) combination with your hands and hope the ancestors approve. What really got me, though, wasn't just the food--it was the customs behind it. Kamayan isn't just "eating with your hands." It feels like a quiet lesson in Filipino hospitality. Everything is shared. Everything is communal. You're not isolated in your own plate-world--you're part of a table ecosystem where people are constantly offering, pointing, encouraging: "Try this with that," "No, you need more rice with that bite," "Trust me." And somehow, even as a first-timer fumbling through the etiquette of it all, nobody lets you feel out of place. You're just... folded into it. At one point I stopped worrying about doing it right and just accepted that the correct way to eat kamayan is the way that gets more food into your mouth while laughing with the people around you. Simple enough. By the end, the table looked like a successful mission had taken place--emptied platters, scattered grains of rice, sauces doing their final victory lap. And everyone had that satisfied, slightly sleepy feeling of having actually shared a meal instead of just consuming one. I came in curious. I left a little less formal, a lot more full, and weirdly convinced that all food tastes better when your hands are allowed to participate in the decision-making process. Kamayan didn't just reintroduce me to Filipino food customs from my past. It solidifed my ancestry and up bringing allowing me to experience a whole different way of eating together with...Mahal. Come hungry and Go Big!!!

To make things worse, our waitress started avoiding our table and barely checked on us because of how bad the service already was, so everything took even longer and we had to get another waitress to help us. When the bill finally came, they charged us incorrectly and still tried to charge us for their mistake. We were billed for 3 orders instead of 2. It took another 10 minutes and a different waitress just to get the bill corrected. The food was good, but the service needs improvement and better attention to detail. With better communication, faster service, and more attentive staff, the experience could have been much better.

Was looking for a good hot pot place, and was in the Concord area…read more So I'll start with what I didn't love, but I did think it was a great gimmick for the area. The music was way too loud, almost like a night club - where you have to practically raise your voice to talk. It's great for guys, where their voice projects, but it's more difficult for anyone that has a bit higher. There are no tongs (but they will give you extra chopsticks). Also, the individual induction units are right on the table, instead of inset. This causes the potential of hot soup base spilling as a more likely experience for clumsy people. For the thing I love about this place? First... value for money. $29.99 per person for all-you-can-eat hotpot? This is amazing in this age where an entree is like $25-30. Appetizers are ordered 2 at a time, and meats are 6 at a time. Meats only come one on a thin tray, which holds about 4-6 slices. So you'll be ordering other helpings, since there are I believe 5 beef selections, and a pork and chicken selection (7) total. The middle of the restaurant is a large bar where you get everything that isn't a meat. The selection of vegetables, and noodles are pretty vast, and almost always refilled. The seafood area has shrimp, clams, tilapia, and mussels. Sauces area also on the sides which makes it pretty much an on-going motion. It's not the high-end of hot pot by any means, but the ambience that they're projecting works for the area that it's in and how they compete with the rest of the restaurants in the area. But for the money? I'd go here. We did sit in a side-middle area where it wasn't a booth. However, they made sure to separate out the seating so that if you were a group of 3, they situated in opposite ends to create space. That attentiveness of spacing actually created a better atmosphere which was a small thing, but a smart thing. Love that they actually celebrate birthdays with banging of pots, and wishing well. It's something that is fun for groups and definitely nice if you happen to be celebrating a birthday! Definitely will come back.

When we arrived, only bar seating was available, but we took it anyway because we were hungry and wanted to eat. They offer an extensive selection of food, and the quality is solid overall.
