    Pad Thai (2.25.26)

4.16.26 I enjoyed my second visit even more than my first--this time, I brought my parents for their first experience. Everything we ordered to share was excellent. My mom especially loved the calamari, duck roll, mango rice, and coconut ice cream. Our server, Moo, mentioned that the ice cream is made in-house, which made it even more special. She provided exceptional service throughout--proactively bringing an extra bottle of water and clearing plates promptly as we finished. My mom also noted that the prices felt very reasonable compared to other Thai restaurants in the area. Since it's conveniently located near their home, I wouldn't be surprised if this becomes a regular spot for them.

This evening, we had dinner at a new restaurant and followed our usual pattern of overindulging in the menu, choosing 6 appetizers and 4 entrees for 4 people. The food was fairly good. It is worthy of a return trip. The service was good. It wasn't very busy so it's fairy quiet. We love being able to carry on a conversation without shouting. All 6 appetizers were good. Everyone had a different favorite. Crispy Lotus Root was my favorite because it was perfectly fried and not something I have seen. Someone else loved the Chicken Curry Puff. I ordered the Ginger Branzino special. The fish was perfectly fried. I wish there was a little more sauce. The two Pad Kraprow were good but the fried basil was a little tough. The Pad Thai was satisfactory. Overall, entree price was cheaper (except the special) but portions were smaller; however it was more than enough for a meal.

This is cute spot tucked away in the back of Dunkin Donuts. It's beautifully decorated and has makes for a comfortable dining space. The waitstaff are friendly and helpful to figure out menu items and attentive. We had gotten the Ribs as an appetizer that was tasty! Tender and had great flavor! Would totally recommend it to start off your meal! Could be slightly more meatier but I'd totally order again! 4/5 Also got the Pad Kee Mao which had great flavor and good heat to it, slight burning spice but not overpowering! The pork pared nicely but could've been perhaps a more tender part of the pork, wasn't too bad and still good but I like a more tender meat and it was a tad too tough. 3.5/5 also had Prik Gua also great flavor and taste the chicken was good, but I do wish there was bit more of a crunch to the fried food....a bit too soggy and wish the cut of the chicken was a bit more on the size of the protein. Overall, good flavor and good experience

Went to dinner with a friend. We both settled on this spot. I see they have been open for about 2 months now. I like Thai food, so looked forward to trying theirs. We walked in and grabbed a table. I had already looked up their menu online and had a list of some things to try. I started off with the Curry Puffs. It is chicken and potato in crisp pastry pockets sided with cucumber relish per the menu. Besides chicken, the other option is vegetables. The dish comes with 2 and these were a nice size. I enjoyed the puffs (had them elsewhere before). I also got their Thai Tea and requested half ice. They asked if I wanted whipped cream and I said yes as it was the first time I was getting whipped cream with Thai Tea - either way I would have still drank it. For entrée, I settled on Pad See Ew since they shared it was a popular dish there. It is described as stir-fried wide rice noodles with egg, Chinese broccoli, and carrot in sweet soy sauce. For meat, I got it with beef. Normally I would get chicken but wanted to switch things up even though it was $2 extra. It was good - I would get theirs again. The beef was easy to eat and I liked that. Soon, nothing was left on my plate. For dessert, I got Sticky Rice with Mango. I always get this dish (when in season) at all Thai restaurants I visit. I first tasted the mango, and it was sweet (not green), but I did not enjoy this dessert as the sticky rice was not sticky at all. It was not something I was used to and after 2 or 3 bites, that was it for me. I could have eaten the mango, I guess, but decided not to eat the whole dish. The business is in a plaza with others so there is lots of free parking available. Also, they are not hard to find.

I've been waiting on this place to be opened and finally did. Let me tell you definitely did not disappoint and you want to put this on your list! I came for lunch, they do have lunch special but I ended up ordering Crispy Duck Basil, lotus root apps, Thai tea for dine in. Also ordered cashew nut chicken for coworker as to go. Thai tea delicious and topped with whipped cream.. Yumm. Lotus roots crispy crunch and accompanied by green sauce (not sure what) but it was a perfect dip. Now onto the crispy duck, ok I don't eat a lot but I ate practically half of it and took the rest for dinner.. lol. The duck is crispy combined with sweet sauce which is not overly sweet then added a hint of Thai chilli pepper. Not too spicy but if you accidentally bite on it.. just hose it down with your Thai tea! Beautiful decor, clean space with attentive and friendly customer service. Yes I'll definitely be back again especially when craving Thai during lunch break!

The restaurant is small but furnished nicely. I ordered the moo tad nam pla, pad Thai, pad khee mao, and papaya salad. The portions were smaller than other Thai restaurants in the area. I had to order two bowls of rice after seeing how small the portions were. I told them to crank up the spiciness to max on the pad khee mao, the dip in the moo tad nam pla, and the papaya salad but it was only mild to me. The ground red pepper and chili sauce from the spice tray was banging and I was finally able to get some desired spiciness. The staff had a nice attitude and everything was brought out pretty quick but I had to ask to get the bottle of water refilled. When they brought back my processed check, they didn't say anything. When I left the store, they also didn't give a parting comment when though they saw me leave, which I thought was weird because this is basic hospitality that other restaurants know to thank their customers. Finally, their suggested tips have incorrect amounts. I recommend you calculate the tip from the pretax amount manually.

Great cozy Thai restaurant with classics and friendly service. They had just opened last week, place was immaculate and inviting. I ordered a tofu pad Thai. It had perfect noodles tossed in a savory and sweet sauce with peanuts, bean sprouts, lime and copious pieces of fried tofu. My companion loved his tofu green curry as well. Will be back to try their other dishes!

Absolutely delicious crispy-crunchy, fresh as anything Thai Papaya Salad!

Super-nice new place to eat in a fresh-feeling, airy and light environment in Gaithersburg. Friendly service, scrumptious food, all-around delightful experience! I wish I could've tried more things but the scrumdidlyumptious Thai Papaya Salad along with a couple of appetizers filled me up -- I did manage to have some Coconut Ice Cream, though! I'd been wanting and meaning but afraid to try a salad of green papaya and I'm so glad I took the chance! I even had some left over that I ate for breakfast the next morning. The Lotus Root appetizer is comprised of such thinly-sliced lotus root chips, I was very impressed. They were crispy-crunchy and came with such a yummy, creamy mint sauce the likes of which I'd never had anywhere else before, in any kind of cuisine. The Jasmine Tea was generous and soothing. The Spring Roll was crispy, crunchy, and fun! The décor was very enjoyable to be surrounded by .... There is lots of free parking nearby (a huge parking lot), including several disabled spots. It's close to 270 and other major roads. I'm currently daydreaming, imagining what I'll try there next -- I believe soup will be a priority! This is a really great spot! Highly recommended! Yay! :-D

3-1/2 stars actually. Most dishes were a tad too sweet for my taste. We tried quite a few starters and liked their duck roll Yum Rambutan the best. The chicken stay was a bit dried. We also liked their special entree dish, Ginger Branzino, where the fish was filet into big slices and deep fried. Service was great and the interior was nicely decorated with good seatings.

First off great service! Came for a small birthday get together and the space was quiet and inviting. Space was a little limited but not crowded. The drink options were so special and enjoyable. The portions weren't too overwhelming and the flavors of each dishes were all distinctive and fragrant.

    Boat Noodle Soup

Pro: big parking lot, friendly staff, clean modern interior, price. Con: none. This restaurant just recently has their grand opening about 2 weeks ago and I knew that I had to give this establishment a try. This restaurant sits in a plaza type area with multiple store front and a big parking lot so finding a parking space is no issue. Came here on a Wednesday for lunch and we were the first group in but slowly more people started to trickle in. For appetizer we ordered the spring roll, calamari, and the Laos papaya salad. The egg roll was ok nothing crazy to write about. The calamari I had higher expectations for but ultimately let me down. It didn't have the crispy crunch, flavor was a bit on the bland side, and it was a bit chewy. For the entree, I ordered the Boat noodle soup which was the star of the meal. The broth was very rich and flavorful. It also has some spice level to it that pack some heat after every bite. Lastly, for dessert we had the mango with sticky rice. It pair really well together with the tropical fruit taste and the rice. All in all, had a pretty good experience here and would highly recommend anyone to come and try this restaurant in the future.

Excellent. All of it! No skimping on the spices and condiments (or alcohol), the quality, the service, the fresh ambiance of wood and tiles.

Food was great! Thai papaya salad was spicy but soooo good. Service was great too. I'd visit again :)

I normally don't eat at Cava because healthy food doesn't typically excite me, however, since I have been eating poorly lately I decided to give this a try. I came with a colleague for lunch. I decided to get a custom warm bowl ($9.95) which included: herb roasted chicken ($4.65), roasted tofu ($2.65), cucumber, carrot, arugula, and spinach (choice of four toppings). I also got a can of Cola ($3.65). I loved my bowl, the chicken was nicely seasoned and I haven't had tofu in a while so I really enjoyed it. I thought the bowl and soda were both pricy, however, had I stuck to a bowl off the menu, I would have saved a bit. Unlike Cava and other similar operations, I like that they have a large selection of sauces to choose from. I enjoyed the Chipotle and Ranch sauces. The restaurant has limited seating, but most patrons got their food to go. There is street parking, a garage, and a lot behind the restaurant. They have two types of loyalty programs, one is free and the other one is an annual membership that offers additional perks. I really enjoyed my bowl and would return albeit not frequently given that it's a bit pricy. Glad I decided to give it a try.

Last night my husband and I decided to dine in. The restaurant is beautifully decorated with cultural artifacts and art. This may just be a me thing but the serveware was envy worthy. It was gorgeous. I'm obsessed with beautiful dishware. There were only two people taking orders and serving food for an almost full dining room so we were understanding of a bit of a wait time. The staff were very friendly and checked in on us when they could. We ordered the khachipuri, samsa, oxtail, chohobli, steamed rice, pilmeni, and hot tea. Both the khachipuri and samsa were flaky pastries: khachapuri filled with a salty stretchy cheese with a cheese pull that tasted better than it was Instagram-able and samsa filled with a savory meat/onion mixture served with a tomato based sauce. Get one per person because you will not want to share. We ordered fried mini dumplings which are filled with meat and also served with same tomato based sauce that came with the samsa. They were delicious but afterwards I saw that you can get them steamed in a broth, I told myself I have to get that next time. The slow-cooked, tender oxtail was served over the best crispy, fat-fried potatoes I've ever had. The chohobli (chicken stew) was fall off the bone into a delicious tomato-based stew. We ordered the rice to sop up the delicious stew. The tea really helped to cut the richness of all the delicious food. I have not shut up about this place since we had this meal. I will rave about it to just about anyone that will listen in hopes that they will come with me next time so we can order more dishes to share.

The hostess was warm and accommodating, offering to seat me while I waited for my friend. Once she arrived, we were promptly shown to a comfortable booth in the dining room. The floor-to-ceiling windows filled the space with natural light, creating a bright and inviting atmosphere. We started with the cheesesteak spring rolls (three per order), which were delicious. They tasted exactly as advertised--gooey cheesesteak filling wrapped in a perfectly crispy spring roll. For our entrees, my friend ordered the short ribs with broccoli instead of risotto, while I chose the Cajun shrimp pasta. The short ribs came with two generous pieces and were incredibly tender. My friend, who always orders short ribs whenever they're on a menu, was thoroughly impressed. The Cajun shrimp pasta was just okay. While it included a generous portion of nicely sized shrimp and the sausage added some much-needed flavor, the dish overall fell short of my expectations. The pasta was cooked slightly past al dente, and I was hoping for more of the bold, spicy kick you'd expect from a Cajun dish, but the flavors never really came through. To top off the evening, our server surprised me with a complimentary birthday dessert, allowing me to choose anything on the menu. That was such a thoughtful touch. We shared the cheesecake, which was served in a half mason jar with whipped cream, a chocolate "Happy Birthday" plaque, and a candle. I requested the blueberry compote on the side since I wasn't sure we'd enjoy it. While it ended up being a bit sweeter than our preference, it complemented the tart cheesecake filling nicely. The only thing that caught me off guard was that the cheesecake was served warmer than expected. On a hot summer evening, I was anticipating a chilled dessert. Overall, I had a fantastic experience. The attentive service, comfortable atmosphere, and the fact that we never felt rushed--even after spending about two and a half hours at dinner--made for a memorable birthday celebration. While my entrée didn't quite hit the mark, I'd gladly return to try another dish with a bolder flavor profile.

I reached out and was speaking to the back end and was told that they were sorry for the quality and quantity of food and that they would mail me a gift card. I am attaching a photo of receipt of how much we ordered. We ordered a chocolate cake, the photo online showed a massive slice of cake, ours looked as if someone cut half of it off where the cake is supposed to be pointed. $12 for half a cake. My bfs meal was supposed to come with two sides. He ordered mashed potatoes and cole slaw. The mashed potatoes were in with the steak and it was a small portion that looked like a small ice cream scoop, ribeye ($49.00). We did not get the Cole slaw. We ordered a house side salad. It was literally a huge chunk of iceberg lettuce thrown in a bowl with some of the sides. ($14.00) I ordered the steak frites (34.00) the fries were fine, my steak had these weird pieces (see photo) inside, that were veins or ligaments but def not edible and very chewy and gross. I chewed a few pieces and kept having to over chew and then would spit out the pieces because it was rubbery, after the second piece I noticed the texture and then spit it out, then saw whatever it was that was causing the texture and issue. Seeing that immediately made me lose my appetite. So I was left hungry and turned off by my meal and filled up on calamari and fries. I have ordered this before and it usually comes with a nice amount of slices. Mine came with four pieces of sliced steak. We ordered the calamari and had no complaints. The back end comes to my house and drops off a GC of $25.00! Which to me is an insult. For that they can keep their cheap cop out. I will not be back. We spent $134.00 and tipped $19.00 for a take out order. And all they could give us back for a terrible experience and quality of food was $25.00?! Their salad alone was $14. The cake is $12. So basically come back spend more money and we will cover one simple thing but several of your items were sub par and or gross. I would not recommend. This restaurant took a lot of money and did the bare minimum to fix the issue and threw a minimum amount to appease the customer. But didn't mind taking my hard earned money, which I will now spend elsewhere. I also will be mailing back the card. Whoever came to my condo to drop off the gift card came at midnight. Which to me is weird and an odd time to come to someone's house. I have it on security video.
