Good service, food tastes and was prepared fresh and came out relatively quickly. The lime flavored pie wasn't good but the dumpling appetizer is great. Would go back. Located just opposite National Cancer Institute

Sunday 1/4/26 I believe Yelp brought this spot to my attention, so I decided to try it out. I made an online order for a total of $39.22, getting the Khao mun gai Tod $13, Thaiger crying sandwich (w/ provolone cheese) $12, and Red curry sandwich (w/ cheddar cheese) $12. - The service was nice and pleasant upon pick up. - The food itself isn't really anything special or impressive: the taste is alright, and portions are lacking to the point where it feels overpriced. - Overall, it's not a bad spot, just standard and alright for the most part. -- #issa.cheatday

This place is always a solid meal. I've been going here for months. My partner likes to order food from here whenever we are in need comfort food. Our top pick is hands down the Khao Soi and Thai tea. The first time we ate there we were a little shocked and off put by all the fusion dishes, but we have grown to love the fusion. We've never had a single complaint about the food. It's really cozy inside. Every time I've been they barely had anyone else dining in which is sad because this food is so good. Plus the server is so nice. Don't sit on this place.

Kai so noodle - very rich and hard to eat - fired chicken was just sog city by but two or three

We been here a few times for take out and some items are great. We've had possible experiences with their chicken rice dishes and tacos. Our most recent dine in experience was a disappointment. We came on a Friday around 7pm. One other table was seated during this time. We ordered fish tacos and their kai soi noodle soups in curry base. The fish taco shell was stale so we asked for a new one and they came back with another stale one so we just ate the fish. The noodle soup flavor was good but too rich to eat more than a couple bites with fried chicken submerged in the curry soup. After a few minutes the chicken just became soggy. We may return for some other basic chicken dishes for a suit bite to eat but probably won't be trying anything else for the time being.

We would definitely be down for coming back here to try more of their menu. We went in for an early lunch and we're the only sit down customers. They don't have a specific lunch menu but prices weren't exorbitant so that was nice. While we didn't try any of their specials (written on a chalkboard) it does look like they change them regularly. What we got: Thaiger is Crying Sandwich - 4* it's definitely not spicy, but the salad it comes with has a spicier dressing. Wonderful flavour and I'd be interested in checking out their other sandwiches. The fries were decent too and paired well with the meal. Khao Soi Briased Beef - 4.5* fantastic flavour! Perfect for a chilly day.

Yummy spot for Thai-American fusion eats! Definitely a great place for lunch, they've got really nice lunch combos, and the service is fast. The interior is super cute and airy with lots of seating. Also a convenient parking garage right next door. I tried both the Green Curry and Red Curry sandwiches, and each came with a small salad (with a light sweet fish sauce dressing) and fries. Green Curry Sandwich: Loved this one! Packed with flavor and served on perfectly toasted, crunchy white bread. The filling had slabs of chicken, fresh basil, bell peppers, cheese, onions, and green curry sauce. I asked for it extra spicy and loved the kick, though I def would've appreciated even more of the sauce inside. Red Curry Sandwich: Similar setup to the green curry, but the flavor leaned nuttier and slightly sweeter. It was still good, but felt a bit dry because of lack of sauce. Because of this, it ended up tasting more like a grilled chicken sandwich without much curry flavor. Really wish they offered an optional side of curry sauce (green or red) for sandwich dipping, I'd def pay extra for that!

We ordered 2 appetizers:fried calamari and puffs. I feel that these appetizers are not their greatest strength. This place has nice entree. This time we got the rice dish w pork and the curry noodle. Last time I tried the sandwich.

Thai Cottage Bistro is one of my new favorite Thai restaurants. It hits all of the right notes. Located on Medical Center Drive, right off Shady Grove Road, it is convenient and easy to find. A Parking garage is located right next store to the restaurant. The dining area is lovely, filled with cherry wood laminate topped tables, a floor that resembles bamboo, and plenty of plants and wall decor. The service was excellent. I was greeted warmly when I walked in the door. My server was so nice and efficient. My order was ready in 10 minutes. And , the food was simply amazing. It takes authentic Thai food and adds its own contemporary spin to it. Normally, a popular Thai appetizer is chicken satay. Thai Cottage Bistro creates a delicious sandwich with the grilled marinated chicken and a slaw that adds just the right amount of acid to the dish. The grilled bread is a perfect addition and the Thai peanut sauce is addicting. I would put that sauce on everything, if you let me. The sandwich is accompanied by fries and a salad. Next time, I will ask them to pack a the salad separately. My fries got a little soggy on the way home. I also ordered the dynamite shrimp. There were four large shrimp that had been delicately breaded and fried. The dynamite sauce was excellent too. The bill for both dishes was really reasonable and I am pleasantly full. What a gem of a restaurant and I will be back soon.

I've had Thai Cottage Bistro plenty of times and I think I would it call it one of my comfort foods! I mean I love Thai food so I'm very bias, but their food is SCRUMPTIOUS! I get their Thai Green Curry Sandwich, it comes with fries, little salad, and yummy sauces of green curry and sweet salad sauce! I usually get it to-go which I love the aesthetic (If you don't believe me, look at my picture I post!) So not only is it good to look at, it's yummy too! Basically it's a 2 in 1 since you've got sweet and savory too. I've ate inside once and they're friendly. Parking is simple and abundant, there's a garage right next door where you can park. So if you're craving a sandwich but also Asian fusion, this is the place for you!

Curry Puff (2) with diced potatoes, carrots, and peas with Cucumber-red onion relish sauce - yum. November 2024.
    Gail R.

The curry puffs are a little thicker but still flaky. Devoured both especially with the dipping sauce it comes with (Cucumber-Red Onion Relish Sauce). Tom Yum Chicken Burger was massive. I had the sauce on the side as it was spicy. I only ate half of this, but when I removed some of the bread and started eating the chicken, it was a bit on the dry side. As I have heard good things about this place, I will go back, but just try something different on the menu. Parking was free in the retail garage next to this business (shows two hours are free). 3.5 stars until my next visit. Visited November 2024

Thai Cottage Bistro. The restaurant is very clean on the inside and has a modern setting. The customer service was very good as well. The food was great, really nothing to complain about. The dish I ordered was the Kao Mun Gai Tod which had fried chicken and rice and the proportions were great for its price. The dessert I had which was the Taro Roti is definitely a must try, it is a roti with taro inside with a side of matcha ice cream. Overall I would highly recommend this place and I will be coming back to try other dishes!
