My usual order includes chicken pad thai, beef pad see ew, and either Penang curry or combo fried rice. Portions are great (food is literally jam packed inside the container), and prices have not increased much over the years. Staff is always friendly and there's usually ample parking. We have ordered carry-out a few times but this time we did dine-in with another couple. The service was wonderful. The restaurant was not too loud that we were able to carry on a conversation. Didn't think I would be able to find authentic and delicious Thai food in the burbs but it exists!! Don't let the plain name fool you. Its name is straight to the point like their food. Let me start by saying we are/were regular customers here. We made a carryout order today (placed order in person). We wanted to get an order of Pad Puk with Chinese broccoli instead of regular broccoli. Spoke with woman at counter who confirmed our order (charging us an additional $3). When we got in the car and looked at the dish, it was not made according to order... ok I may sound a little dramatic here, but this is not the reason for the one star. When I took the item back in and told them it was not what we ordered, the woman argued loudly with me that it was what we ordered. I again reminded her of what we ordered. She said $3 more to fix it. I said Nevermind and that we would NOT be coming back again. I am planning to go speak to then owner tomorrow. VERY DISAPPOINTING!!!! read more

I can't really speak to the ambiance because this is a takeout place for me. My usual order is pad thai with the curry puffs. We decided to order the pad cashew as well to have left overs. I tried and enjoyed - the curry fish cakes (crispy, well spiced, a little spicy), great wrapped in lettuce with the sweet dipping sauce - drunken noodles with pork which has perfectly chewy noodles with a lot of flavor, a ton of perfectly cooked and tasty veggies - pad see ewe with beef and gai lan (so glad it wasn't broccoli) I did find I had to drink a lot of water after likely due to a ton of sodium. Pretty great Thai spot in the neighborhood! My favorite was the drunken noodle. Their food is well seasoned, good portion and good price. We got a mango sticky rice for dessert too and loved that as well. Fresh mangos and the rice was good, not too coconut-y which I don't love so much. Service was fast, servers / owners were very nice. This was my and my moms first time dining here. Our service level was exceptional and I definitely applaud the lady who seemed to be hosting and serving all by herself! The utensils, plates, tables, seemed to be very clean which is very huge for my mom and me! The spring rolls were okay... probably not something I personally would order again. It had too little filler. The dipping sauce was quite interesting, I found it pleasant! Kind of sweet but I like it! Pad thai is one of my favorite dishes and I found this one good... if I were to come back, I'd come back and get the shrimp instead. The chicken was a tad dry and the noodles very chewy? First time here, In the door its brightly lit and clean with a cafeteria feel to it. We found the staff including our waitress to be very nice. I ordered Cicken Satay with a side of peanut sauce and Spring Rolls as an appetizer, I found the chicken satay dry and the peanut sauce was lacking a deep peanut sauce. The Spring Rolls were very good, they had a great crispy outside but not chewy. Pros- Clean restaurant Friendly staff Nice menu choices Cons- My food was over cooked, dry and tough. For my dinner I ordered The Crying Tiger which was grilled Rib Eye Steak cut in small strips with steamed vegetables served with Nam Jim sauce. This dish failed me several ways, the steak was over cooked and very dry and some pieces wete inediblebecause ot was very rubbery and chewy. I suspect that they cut the meat in stripes before they cooked it is why it was so dry and tasteless, i suggest cooking ot the cutting it. The highlight was the steamed veggies and Nam Jim sauce. Solid restaurant to grab Thai food in Olney. Ordering online was super easy. I like how you could indicate customizations and add comments for the staff when ordering. Food was ready at the promised time. I surprisingly liked the Tom Kha soup, which had a good amount of chicken and mushrooms. The soup was more sour than spicy and the lemongrass came through nicely. Although I ordered the Kee Mao Noodles (drunken noodles) at a spice level of spicy, I thought it was more on the mild side. Had decent heat to it, but next time I'd go with extra spicy. Noodles held up well on the ride home and the beef was tender and had good flavor to it. I also shared the dusty pork, which looked more like steak at first glance. The slices of pork were again tender and flavorful. I liked how the steamed mixed veggies were separated, but could have done without them. I always order the same food at any Thai restaurants that I go to so I can compare. xD You can't go wrong with pad thai and drunken noodles! They were tasty. I would say the catfish dish was the one that surprised me. It was very flavorful. On the other hand, the green curry was underwhelming. The portion felt small with not a lot of the curry itself. The flavor wasn't as flavorful as well compared to other places. Oh I ordered Thai coffee and Thai tea was well. The drinks were just okay. I wouldn't order the Thai coffee again though. This is not the world's greatest Thai food, but it's really quite good. The service is exceptional, and they work hard to get orders right, even on takeout - and usually succeed. In fact, I can't recall them ever getting an order wrong, and some of our orders have been very extensive. They're happy to make things spicy or mild, and they make everything to-order so it's done right. My biggest complaint about them is that they are closed on Mondays, and that they close at 8:00 when they could stay open until 9:00, but in spite of my occasional "need" for Thai when they are closed, everything else is delightful. read more

I've had takeout here several times and dined in once, as my mom lives nearby. The restaurant is really nice on the inside, it's in a small shopping center and has an intimate café feel to it that is very cozy. Looks like it was updated somewhat recently and it is extremely tidy and clean. They have a selection of beers including what seems to be a house beer as well. Service was very good and friendly as well. When we went in it was a weekday and not crowded, not sure what the weekends are like but they do a LOT of takeout business through the evening it seems. I usually end up getting the panang curry which is absolutely delicious but I've had the pad thai, pad kee mao, thai spicy tofu dish, as well, all of which are incredibly delicious. They do let you adjust the spice level on a scale of 5 which is good because I like my food on the spicy side. The food was very good for the most part. We got the Pineapple Fried Rice with chicken which was very good. I love the smokiness of the rice and all the things in it. We also got Panang Curry with half Shrimp and half Chicken. It was also very good, but slight upcharge for both and understandable. The only thing I thought was a little overdone was the crispy gyoza. I think I will opt for the spring rolls or chicken satay if we get an appetizer on our next visit. I would have like to been able to give a five star review because the food was delicious, and every dish I tried was great. Unfortunately the service from the girl servers was terrible. They acted very prejudice against me and my wife, while with other customers they were more polite. They were very rude and it seemed like they kept staring at us and talking bad about us as well. Once specific thing the server did was that when we were almost done with our food, she came and gave us the check and the to - go boxes, she did not ask us if we were done just gave them to us, in a harsh manner. And typically at this restaurant they pack your food in the to - go boxes when you are done ( I have been here before and they always to this) but this time we went the server did not do this and for the other customers the servers did pack the food in the to - go boxes. Which seemed very odd and like they had something against me and my wife. Overall this was just one of the many things that the girl servers did that made the experience extremely uncomfortable and a overall a horrendous experience. read more
