Haven't been here in a few years. We went during lunch on a Thursday. It wasn't busy with dine-in customers, but they had a lot of take-out. A very casual atmosphere with great service. Most of the dishes we ordered were on point for our palate. I like the Peking duck roll. I enjoyed the wrap/dough they use for the duck roll even though the roll fell apart. The wrap was flaky and had a good amount of duck in it. The crispy basil with squid was very good. The flavor of the basil went well with the chili sauce. The texture of the squid was perfect not rubbery. The beef fried rice was was mouthwatering. The rice was moist but not clumpy. There was a good amount of beef. The dish was seasoned well. The tamarind delight wasnt ba d. It reminds me of an American Chinese dish. The chicken was crispy, the tamarind sauce was ok. Still our go to spot for Thai food. The parking can be a bit difficult during high times like Friday night, but if you can get parking and a table, the hardest part of the night is over. The food here is great and not too overpowering. It can get spicy though so I would stick with level 2-3. Any higher and you'll sweat. I personally love the spicy eggplant at level 1-2 and the Plad Ttod with the red curry sauce at level 2 and the Kee Mao noodles at level 2. The Basil Fried rice is also a solid choice at level 2. The one thing I do have to commend to this place is the fact that they did not skimp on amount/pricing in this current economy. We have been coming here for several years now and besides the COVID increase in prices, they haven't increased any further. The service here is good and when it gets super busy, it is understandable to have to wait a bit, but overall great and love the staff. The inside is relaxing. It is a bit small, but it's not that big of a deal unless you're that table with 5 kids and 6 adults on a Friday night. Pretty much took up most of the restaurant. When you ran out of time to that meat and cook dinner in a timely manner and want something cozy and warm what do you do? Go get Thai food of course! We're always excited to try a new Thai place (and compare who makes the best Tom Ka Gai) and I love sampling the different spice levels. After reading reviews I decide to start off trying the medium spice (#2 of 4 levels) with extra spice sauces brought out on the side. What we got: Curry Puffs - 5* the dough was fantastic! And it's made in house!! I *kinda* tried to get the recipe, but who am I kidding, I'll just come back and order it instead. We enjoyed doing the puffs into my curry (Gaeng Karee Goong) instead of the sweet sauce it comes with, though that was also good. Tom Ka Gai - 3* make sure to stir the soup before you take a sip! My first sip was pure coconut milk which was not what I wanted. After a quick stir though the soup base delivered a savory flavour. Unfortunately it quickly became too acidic. On top of that, we weren't fans of the chicken (too dry) or mushrooms (not cooked enough). Pad See Ew - 5* the flavour was divine, the broccoli crunchy (wishes there was more), the noodles perfect and the beef well done. Would definitely recommend this one. Gaeng Karee Goong - 5* tried the medium spicy (#2) and that with the temperature level was a glorious combination, runny nose and all. As the dish cooled down the spice seemed to even out. Not sure if I'll try spicy (#3) next time or not. Spice aside this dish was fabulous. The potatoes and onion hit the spot. my family has gone to Thai House for all our Thai cravings over the past ten years. Most recently, we placed a to-go order for 6 people. I was super impressed and happy at how quickly the food was ready. The restaurant itself doesn't have a lot of seating space, but it's perfect for a casual and intimate dining experience. I wouldn't say there's anything extraordinary and out of the ordinary with their food. I always enjoy what I order, but they mainly serve classics. Just be careful with what spice level you choose. For my first visit I got the Satay (chicken skewers) $8.95 and the basil fried rice (mild & chicken) $12.95. For my second visit I got the drunken noodles (kee mao), crispy basil chicken $14.95, heavenly wings $7.95, crispy duck $23.95, and the pad see ew $12.95. The satay chicken skewers were great and the addition of those 2 sweet dipping sauces made it even better. The mild basil fried chicken rice was very good. It's been a while since I've been to Thai House. I forgot how good their food is. I came here with a group of 14. Fortunately, we had made reservations. Three others and I shared the beef pad thai, Crispy Duck (spice level 2), Kee Mao/Drunken Noodles (spice level 2), and the Gaeng Karee with chicken (yellow curry, spice level 2). The pad thai was good, but it was a little too saucy. I'm more used to the dry pad thai. The crispy duck was delicious and crispy, but also very fatty. I don't think I can eat this as an entrée by myself. The drunken noodles and curry were my favorites of the night. The curry with chicken and potatoes was very flavorful. The drunken noodles comes with tiger shrimp and chicken. As usual, drunken noodles was a satisfying dish. Spice level 2 was just the right level of spiciness for me. For reference, I can handle siracha. I wanted to order the custard sticky rice for dessert, but they ran out of sticky rice so I went with the taro and coconut milk. It is a hot dessert. I don't think skin is normally still on wings. The batter was crispy and the wings came out piping hot so that was a plus. The pad thai was delicious and flavorful. The chicken and noodle were tender. However, it could have used more sauce. I was so full from lunch that I took one wing home, 75% of my pad thai, and half of my iced tea, which I had for dinner. The pad thai was dry after being reheated so more sauce would have made it taste better. I was surprised to see the lunch portion was pretty generous for the price. You rarely see those prices anymore due to inflation. Our server was nice, but inattentive. She could have stopped by to check on us more often. I had to flag her down twice. It seemed counterproductive to refill my friend's glass of water when we were done eating and ready for our check. All in all, food was decent, but could have been better. I ordered the summer roll, Pad Thai, and basil chicken. The Pad Thai was warm and tasty, but the basil chicken came out cold and was mostly made up of fried batter crumbs with barely any actual chicken. I was really hungry, so I just ate it and decided to mention it politely after I finished eating, not to complain or ask for a replacement, but simply to let them know. Instead of acknowledging my feedback, the server told me she saw steam coming off the dish when she carried it out, as if implying I wasn't telling the truth. I did see steam coming off the Pad Thai, but the basil chicken was genuinely not warm when I received it. She insisted she remembered seeing steam, but she was clearly extremely busy -- juggling other customers, handling a flood of takeout orders, and packing multiple bags at once. Under those circumstances, I honestly doubt her brief memory of carrying the dish was more accurate than mine, having tasted it the moment it arrived at my table. Rather than taking responsibility, she kept making excuses and even said that 60 to 70% of the dish being fried crumbs was intentional because "customers like it that way." In reality, there were only about three or four medium pieces of actual chicken. I ordered chicken, not a plate of crumbs. To me, dismissing my concern and trying to make me look dishonest isn't good service, and it doesn't reflect well on how a server handles their job. What disappointed me most wasn't just the dish itself, but how my concern was handled. A simple acknowledgment or even a "thank you for letting us know" would have made a big difference.
