Disappointing experience. Four issues here: Most importantly I received complete contradicting aftercare instructions. One piercer told me to leave the jewelry alone and just keep the navel area clean; another told me to scrub the barbell with a cotton swab 3-4 times a day. I'm so confused as to who to listen to. Fee transparency. Standard charges were made clear upfront, no issue there. But an overtime fee was never mentioned until after the appointment. It was removed once I pushed back, which I appreciated, but it shouldn't have come up as a surprise, especially the delay was caused by the store. Rough jewelry change. Wrong fit, then wrong color, then a rushed correction -- handled more forcefully than expected on skin that was already irritated. Cleaning service confusion. I paid for a cleaning service expecting the navel area itself to be cleaned , as a previous piercer at this same studio had recommended I return for it. This time, "cleaning" meant wiping blood off the old barbell before the swap. Afterward, nothing was cleaned at all, I found dried blood scaps all over by naval area. read more

This place is great very clean and the staff is very friendly. The downside to this location is that there isn't a large or unique selection of jewelry to choose from. In addition to the lack of jewelry options, there seems to be at least $30 worth of fees that are added to your piercing cost so highly recommend checking with the staff prior to having the service done. read more

I am so glad I found Hone! I was looking into getting my first ever piercings done and for a shop that is sanitary, professional, and welcoming, Hone is all of the above! I came in a day before my actual appointment to check out the shop and booked my appointment in-person. On the day of my piercing, I was helped by Ashley who would be my piercer. TLDR: Externally threaded, stainless steel jewelry, the wrong piercing style for my anatomy, and discounts offered in exchange for reviews. I originally left a positive review because the piercing itself was quick and Ashley was friendly. Unfortunately, after a follow-up with my usual piercing shop, I felt like I needed to update my review. I came in about 3 weeks ago to have my navel re-pierced. Ever since then, it's been red, angry, and developed an irritation bump. Turns out, I was pierced with externally threaded stainless steel jewelry. I honestly assumed it would've been implant-grade titanium. Piercing with externally threaded jewelry can cause more trauma because those jagged threads literally have to go through a fresh piercing. I also wasn't given much of a choice when it came to jewelry. I was taken back to a private room, the piercer pulled out a bag of jewelry, and that was basically it. The first one had a huge bottom ball. I wanted something more discreet, so I asked if there was anything smaller. They pulled out another bag that was only slightly smaller, so we just went with that. There wasn't really any further discussion about jewelry options or materials. I had previously been pierced with a floating navel, but since this piercer told me she had two years of licensed experience, checked my anatomy, and still chose a traditional curved barbell, I trusted her judgment. I later learned that my navel collapses and that a floating navel is actually the appropriate piercing style for my anatomy. I should've just gone back to my regular piercing shop instead of coming here on impulse (I was bored and in the area). Another thing that should've been my first red flag...while I was waiting in the lobby, I overheard a receptionist on the phone confirming that they did dahlia piercings. As soon as she hung up, she turned to her coworker and asked, "What's a dahlia piercing?" Her coworker had to go ask someone in the back, and then they ended up calling the client back to tell them they actually don't do dahlia piercings. The universe gave me a sign and I ignored it. Then, at checkout, I was offered $5 off for leaving one review or $10 off for leaving two reviews. Since my piercing was already done, I figured, sure, why not? I love discounts. But now I wonder how many of these good reviews are because of the discounts. I mean...who's going to write a negative review and then show it to the person standing right in front of them to get the discount? Let's be fr. I'll also own my part in this. After hearing them not know what a dahlia piercing was, I still went through with my appointment. After seeing that my only jewelry choices were basically "big" and "slightly less big," I still went through with it. That's on me. In the future, I'm going to be more cautious with where I get pierced. Between using externally threaded stainless steel jewelry, choosing jewelry that wasn't appropriate for my anatomy, incentivizing reviews with discounts, and not even knowing whether they offered a piercing they had literally just confirmed over the phone...I don't trust the level of experience or the quality of care here. I won't be coming back. I've since switched to an implant-grade titanium floating navel with discs on the ends (so they're less likely to get caught on things), and my piercing is already feeling better. read more

Came here after deciding I wanted my daith pierced and my cousin also wanted to get her helix done. We were nearby and found Hone Piercing; the reviews across all social media were astounding so we felt very confident to go there for the first time. Upon arrival, the waiting area is so cute and decorated well with seating provided in the front. The jewelry is on display or in cases at the front which made us so excited for our appointment. The staff are all very kind and friendly, you'll lose any anxiety within the first ten seconds. Kasra pierced both my cousin and I, and I highly encourage everyone to book with them if possible! They really eased us into the sessions, explaining thoroughly what step they were doing and answered all our questions with confidence. We felt so much anxiety but their calm demeanor really helped us chill out. We also laughed and joked a ton which made the experience all the more special. While I knew my daith piercing was going to be rough, I never imagined it would almost be like giving birth from my ear. I came to Hone Piercing to get my septum re-pierced, and honestly left feeling a bit disappointed. This was my second time getting it done, so I had a sense of what to expect and was really hoping for a better experience. Afterward, I noticed my piercing looked crooked. When I brought it up to my piercer, she mentioned that I have a deviated septum, which was something that wasn't brought up at all before the piercing. I wish that had been discussed ahead of time because it definitely affects how it looks and how I feel about it. The studio itself was nice and clean and everyone was polite, but I just wish there had been better communication and more attention to detail, especially for how much I paid.
