Mmmkay, here's my HONEST review (pun intended). I was excited to try this place out. I love Indian street food and sandwiches and Honest almost filled the requirement perfectly. There. I said it. ALMOST. Here's what I ordered: 1. Bahubali Sandwich: Okay, I'm definitely all about the hype so I HAD to get this. I've read differing reviews on how people felt about the fact that there was a layer of jam so I was a little apprehensive. But, I made no changes and ordered as is. Verdict? It's a Winner. Worth all the hype. GET IT. 5/5! 2. Dabeli: I've had dabeli a couple times before but here I didn't get the multiple layers of taste. It just felt like a mass of masala veggie mash stuffed between two buns and topped with some sev. Verdict: Not bad, Not great either. MEH. 3/5 3. Bhakhri Pizza: Remember when you were like 10 and there were no actual "pizza chains" in your city so your mom picked up a pizza base from the store and topped it with ketchup, stir fried capsicum, onions, tomatoes and cheese? No? Just me? Ok. This was like the pizza that my mom made when I was 10. It was great because it was home made but mainly because there were NO other options. Did I eat it then? Sure! Would I pay for it now? HELL NO. Verdict: SKIP IT. Psst, hey 'Honest' guys? If you guys charge for it, make it worth it. 4. Mango Falooda: I LOVE falooda. Like a lot. But did I love this? I don't know. I definitely did not hate it, but imho, Falooda is best enjoyed on location. So I'm going to have to visit one day and order it 'for here' instead of 'to go'. Verdict: Undecided. Would I visit again? Yes. Would it become my regular weekend favorite? Not yet. read more

I have been to this restaurant a few times. Some of the items are good but not their Vegetarian Thali is disappointing !!! It contains too much of Carb and hardly any green vegetable. Instead of giving too many Chapatis, rice and Potato, they can include some green veggie. It is not worth the money. read more

Absolutely love this place! Takes me back home instantly! Amul butter vadapav is the best vada pav I have had in this country. I also liked how they pack chutneys separately for chats making it easy for takeout and doesn't get the food soggy. read more

The prices at this place are insane. They are charging $6 for orange juice and $14 for a dosa. The quality of food is not that great and the service is really slow. The restaurant is way overpriced. They suddenly increased their prices by 30 to 40 percent for each item on the menu. read more

Rude staff who reminded me of Soup Nazi episode of Seinfeld (not fun in real life). We went for dinner and first were very rudely told that we couldn't sit till we ordered. As my wife and I stood in the line discussing if it was worth the wait, this cashier/hostess who eavesdropped our conversation snatched the line ticket from my wife's hand. When I told her this was no way to treat customers she shrugs and walks away without even the basic decency of a sorry. Horrible! read more

Don't try their special pav bhaji ...they put cashews and raisins on it . On pav bhaji, seriously ??? Common. It's getting 3 star for near authentic vada pav though but as a mumbaikar I like to be more spicy ...was served with cold green chutney though. Also tried samosa but honestly more than it's filling, I liked it's covering which was very crunchy and perfectly fried. read more

I've ordered food to go a few times from Honest. The food was consistently good the first few times but a bit different last time. My go-to items are vada pav and pulav. The vada wasn't fried properly last time, the coating tasted like raw chick pea flour and I also noticed that they had substituted the pav for a grocery store like dinner roll which tasted very different. Understand that substitutions might be needed but would have been good to be informed earlier at the time I placed the order. Otherwise, I highly recommend. I have also tried their dosas, which aren't as crispy when you take it to go but I recommend ordering the rava dosa for to-go orders, tends to hold up better than the regular orders in a styrofoam box. read more

Food is good but the take away option is hopeless. For the order of two items It was painstaking of more than 65 min. If this wait time was informed in advance while ordering I would have opted for a different restaurant or atleast a different medium. We tried the food yesterday evening for the first time. And we loved it. We ordered a To Go order and we were told it would be ready in 40 mins. We went in to check at 30 mins but it wasn't ready but at the count of 40 like they said, it was ready. We got bhakri pizza, pav bhaji, veg grilled sandwich and vada pav. Hands down the best street food I have had in a while. I cannot comment on the in store service since it was a to go order but I loved the food and the fact that it was ready right on time. I love the food here. So far I've tried their amul butter vada pav, schezwan noodles, chilli paneer and gobi manchurian. They've all been really good. I cannot speak to the dine in experience but the pick up is pretty efficient. read more

I ordered schezwan fried rice and cauliflower Manchuria gravy and the food sucks.. cauliflower Manchuria is so bland and don't know if they even added salt. schezwan is very sweet and the rice is so thick and wet, very disappointed with the food. read more

Was really excited about this place as have tried its food in india aswell. We tried a number of dishes and would like to start with Pav bhaji - Its decent. Not very great but better than other place . Pav could be a little more buttery and soft. Cheese masala pav - i was a little disappointed as I expected something different but it was the same bhaji we had ordered then put pn the pav and gave us. Tawa pulav- it was really tasty. Just loved it. Bahubali sandwich - superb . Chinese bhel- liked the taste buf would have preferred if there was more of fried noodles Idly chilly- taste was different but good Royal falooda- it was delicious. Overall had a really good experience both time we went and would definitely recommend this place to all. Must try read more

The chaat places around Seattle area seem to be close to North Indian style chaats and having grown up on Mumbai style chaats, they do not evoke nostalgia. We found that flavor at Honest. We ordered Pav Bhaji, Sev poori and Papdi chat and I think the flavor is really close especially the Pav Bhaji which I think is the best I have had. Highly recommend this new business. P.S. they forgot to give the chutneys for the other chaats so it would be good if they had better quality control for take out orders. read more

If I could go lower in reviewing this place, I would. I am a big supporter of Indian restaurants and want them to thrive but when the people working there and the service along with the food sucks, it simply sucks. I wish it weren't true because I don't go to a new place asking for it to be bad. I had placed an order on the phone where it all began. I asked for indo-Chinese options that are on their website menu but the lady on the phone said, they aren't making an indo-Chinese food. Then why have it on your menu? So I had to rework my whole order last minute and call back. Then I went inside to pick up my order, I was about 10 minutes late and the lady on the pick up line starting lecturing me of how I am so late and I should have called to inform them. But there was no point in that because, even though I was 10 minutes late, I waited in line to pick up my order for 20 minutes. I did not complain for how long they made me wait to pick up my order and yet she was rude to me. Then, I requested for the chai that I had ordered to be re-heated and she made such a big fuss about it. She said, they don't usually do this because I should have been on time and then proceeded to re-heat the chai in the back in a microwave. The lady then said that I should understand why she's behaving this way because it's a Friday and they are very busy. And they were. But that doesn't justify rudeness and misbehaving in the first place. She could have just told me politely instead of lecturing me. Before I lost my patience, I took my order, paid, and left. I had the first sip of the chai in the car, and it was horrible. It was one of those pre-made sachets of chai that I can find in any Indian grocery store and they basically opened that, put some hot water and served it. The food was just not appetizing - so much Masala powder after taste in the pav bhaji; baata vada was tasteless and the choley seemed packaged. The batura was good and so were the jalebi. I definitely won't be coming back any time soon, which is a shame because based on what I saw on people's tables, the South Indian options for their food, looked good. read more

It's a promising restaurant but still needs some improvements - the price is a bit on the higher side. Their Faluda is best, Sandwich tasted good Veg Pulav spl. - Taste was good overall but less portion, with no raisins which they mentioned and topped with cashew instead of cooking with the rice. I have tried many different dishes on their menu. Masala pav which are bite size pieces of pav toasted with butter and pav bhaji masala is one of my favourite from their menu. The Honest special Pizza and Bhakri pizza have a crispy base and topped with indian processed cheese which is reminiscent of pizza's available at fast food restaurants in India. Their chinese noodles and manchurian are sub par and should be avoided. read more

We ordered takeout today via chowhound and were shocked by portion size for tava pulao in takeout. It is extremely small in fact so small that I ended up cooking so not happy. Pulao was average but Amul Vada pav was good like authentic that is why the 3*. read more

Honestly , I did NOT expect it to be this unimpressive. Having newly moved from the Bay Area, I went for a 'thaali' experience for lunch. In Bay Area, we have Thaalis usually around 12$ with 2-3 daals(sambhar, north indian daal etc) then 3-4 types curries. Total it would be around 7 types in small bowls. Here they served the food in a plate where the compartmnets are much smaller than bowls/Indian Katoris. Ok, then I saw the 'same ' daal in two compartments..side by side. putting the same thing doesn't make it another item. Also a big heap of raw onions,w chaat masala on top..who wants to eat salad in an indian Thaali for $18 with tax? Not me ! I usually eat thaalis for the 5-7 varieties of daals and curries that come with it. The Papad was half-roasted..seriously? overpriced and overrated, especially comparing it with Bay Area, one of the MOST expensive places in US. look into Chaat Bhavan Thaalis! Udupi Palace Thaalis. Mostly around 12$ and serve 5-7 varieties! read more

Great food, already been there twice within a week of opening. Honest is well known fast-food restaurant chain for Indian vegetarian street-style fast food and specifically their pav-bhaji from my hometown Ahmedabad. The taste of food is very consistent and homely and quality of food is excellent. Over two visits I had pav-bhaji both times and tried their Indian style bhakhri pizza, manchurian and bahubali sandwich. I am sure this place will be a go-to place for me. I would like to see their extended menu as they grow. read more

I've tried this place numerous times and each time I tell myself that I won't go back. The food is not tasty at all, just really greasy. Their seasoning is completely off, some dishes are bland and others are just so spicy that you can't eat them. To me it says that no one is checking the quality of the food. read more

These guys have bought the place where there was Spice Route Restaurant before, next to Apna Bazaar. We tried their Vada pav, Dry Masala Pav, Masala Pav with Bhaji, Rose Falooda, Honest special Pulav. All of them were equally SO GOOD. EXTREMELY authentic, as close as it gets to real Mumbai street food. Interestingly, the owner mentioned that he himself is from Mumbai, haha. I have heard great things about their sandwiches as well but yet to try them. Prices are nominal. Plenty of seating available with social distancing options but now they are offering only to-gos. Horrible organization and estimate for picking up food. Placed an order online for pickup, arrived there at the estimated time and waited 30 min for the order to be ready. They also need better social distancing in the restaurant, it was crowded with some people not wearing masks and maintaining distance.
