We came here during the pandemic when places we're just starting to open back up. We hadn't had "good coffee" in a long few months, but thankfully Honest Coffee came to our rescue. We love coming to the factory and seeing the hints of history and old building throughout. Honest has some really comfy chairs/rustic wood to lounge around. All the workers were nice and seemed to be enjoying their jobs. The coffee was fantastic. We got an iced coffee, a mocha, and two to-go Roosevelts. The iced coffee was just great coffee which was exceptionally smooth. The mocha was not overly sweet but hit you with the perfect amount of cocoa. Lastly, the Roosevelt was our favorite with a latte taste mixed with cinnamon. We will definitely be coming back here again when we want some good non-chain coffee! read more

Stopped in to the Factory while visiting family in Franklin and stumbled upon Honest Coffee Roasters (HCR) as we walked in the building. Love the open space with high ceilings. I thoroughly enjoyed my large Roosevelt (slightly spiced and wonderful) and my wife enjoyed her medium Cuban (made with sweetened condensed milk). We bought a bag of the Montanita coffee to take home with us as well - look forward to trying it in the near future. While the drinks were delightful, my favorite thing about HCR was the ability to view the coffee roasting in action. You can tell it is a meticulous process as the employees monitor temperatures, amounts, and other variables throughout the roasting process. That attention to detail is what will keep me coming back when I visit Franklin in the future! read more

I got an Iced Mocha and while the muffins and treats looked tasty, I resisted the urge to buy one! The Mocha was great! This is a cool shop in the Factory. In the middle of a remodel, so it was a little chaotic. I visited twice and got a Nitro cold brew the first time and a regular cold brew the second time. There's a reason for that. When we went at 4:30 in the afternoon they were no longer offering pour overs. The pour over bar was closed for the day. However, we went at 10:30am the next day and they weren't offering pour overs that morning. I said I would take a nitro cold brew and they didn't have any of that either. At 10:30am? I get it. Things get busy and you might not be able to handle pour overs, since they take more time. You can have a big crowd that drinks all the cold brew and you run out. BUT put a sign up or take it off your menu. Let people know. It's horrible when you stand in line for 20 minutes and you can't get what you want. I visited another coffee shop in Nashville today, and with a line twice as long and the same number of staff, they did a pour over. read more

Honestly...Great high quality coffee with unique blends and flavor options. Fairly pricey for what you get but probably one of the better lattes I've had in a while. And in all honesty...the lines are out the door if you go on a Sunday. A packed house means this is a local favorite. Great for grabbing a cup while you walk around the factory, or stay and have a meeting and get some work done. Great vibe, great atmosphere...I liked the slanted laptop friendly community wooden table. But to be Honest...ha! Sorry couldn't help myself...it's more of a workspace. So if you're going to sip and stay, better get a regular table if you can find a spot. They fill up fast! I tell you no lies...there are 2 entrances right by the barista station so the lines and orders can get confusing so you have to pay attention to when your order is up. But they do make it in a timely matter and for how busy they are it comes out fast! To be transparent...I do wish they offered more dairy free milk options. They don't have soy, and the almond milk choice is exotic if you came to party. But if you are on the oat milk band wagon then this place is really for you! Scouts honor! read more

Honest Coffee used to be one of my favorite spots. It's been a while since I've visited because I moved away from the area. Today, I found myself in Franklin, TN, and decided to check in at The Factory. The place has really stepped up its look since they've expanded and it was packed, which made me think they've maintained the quality I used to love. Unfortunately, I was very mistaken. I ordered a café macchiato, the traditional kind, not the Starbucks version. It's a simple drink: just a shot of espresso with a dollop of foam. This should be a test of true quality, as you can't hide bad coffee behind sugars and creams in such a basic drink. Sadly, it turned out to be one of the worst coffees I've ever had. It was incredibly sour, lacking any of the rich coffee flavor I expected--just an acidic drink that was nearly undrinkable. This isn't the first time I've had a bad experience here. The last time I visited, the coffee was similarly disappointing, but I brushed it off as a one-off bad day. Now, I see it might be a new standard, which is really disheartening. Congratulations to Honest Coffee on their expansion, but it feels like they've shifted their focus to quantity over quality. If this is the direction they're heading, I won't be returning. A good espresso drink shows the real quality of a coffee place, and sadly, this basic part of their offering was a disaster. read more

Atmosphere is great, food and coffee is wonderful but the service ruins it all. Most people who I speak to in Franklin almost all say the service is horrible. Today I witnessed a woman come to the counter with her acai bowl that needed attention and the barista on the espresso bar who she asked to help her was so rude, he didn't make eye contact with her, took a while to actually help her and just had this annoyed attitude. They're always so busy which is understandable but a smile and accommodating spirit goes a long way. Such a bummer. I love the folks that work here but ever since Nick left they cannot seem to get the carbonation right so the Up & Up (coffee soda) is available. Employees care, but the owner needs to step in and fix the issue. It has been going on too long. This has been going on a while. No issues in West Nashville, Up& up available every time. I ordered Cuban Coffee and it's my jam! Really smooth and gave me a kick in the ass! The coffee house is really cute and tiny, the staff was super friendly and they have diff chocolates from around the world. I purchased 2 that came from Dominican Republic bc i liked the packaging. Only giving 4 stars only based on how long it took to make my coffee. I had enough time to walk through 3 stores and still wait for my drink. I waz with a friend and we had no orders in front of us. It's located inside a mall, but has an outside entrance. There's a small spot outside you can sit. They have a giant machine(I assume has something to do with coffee beans) inside the shop. They make everything in front of you which is nice. Even though I got my order to go the barista still made a design in my latte. The flavor was great. More coffee flavor with a subtle mocha taste. I enjoyed it. It looks like they are doing some construction to the area, but I wasn't concerned it would compromise the coffee. read more

FANTASTIC. I was out looking for a cup of coffee for me and mom and stumbled across this little coffee shop. So glad I did. I just asked for two drip coffees and they were fantastic. My mom usually likes cream in her coffee, but didn't need any as the coffee was so great. In addition to drip coffee, they had some pour over coffee as well as teas, espressos and a few special drinks. They had a few baked good coffee options, but I didn't get a chance to try. Abe Lincoln is my hero and I love any coffee shop that properly represents him! Walking into this artisan coffee shop I look to my left and see a large world map with journals, coffee mugs, bags of coffee, and other locally made goods. To my right is a gorgeous American flag hanging from the ceiling with a faceless, black and white drawing of Abe himself. It was love at first sight! At the ordering counter they have a very simple menu a a small deli case of really different style baked goods for purchase. I did end up getting any but the mini apple pie lookin' treats were calling my name and such a great addition to the theme. I ordered the Cubano the first visit and a Cortado the second.. Definitely recommend the Cubano over anything! So tasty yet not too sweet to where you can't taste the biter richness of the craft espresso. This shop means business! If you're looking for a cheap little sugary caffeine boost this is not your spot. Even their mocha means business with it's rich cacao notes and thick espresso base. When you walk in and see a bazillion dollar roasting machine, Abe Lincoln on the wall, and baristas with curly staches that is nothing to mess with! "Honestly" some of the best espresso I've ever had and definitely some of the coolest decor I've seen. Local coffee connoisseurs DEFINITELY come check this place out NOW if you have not! I recall when this establishment was a smaller, more intimate shop with a staff that genuinely prioritized customer service. I am quite particular about my drinks and typically order a mocha that is stirred thoroughly, without foam, and with either half-and-half or heavy cream if available. While I understand that whole milk was used in my drink, I take responsibility for that choice. However, when I observed the barista preparing my drink, it became clear that not only was it not stirred, but half of the cup was foam. Upon addressing both of my concerns, the barista assured me that she had followed my instructions, though this was untrue. She seemed more focused on the design she created on top of the drink--one that many other coffee shops replicate--rather than ensuring my specific requests were met. The manager kindly offered to void my ticket, and I gladly returned the drink. What I've come to realize is that what was once a charming, high-quality local coffee shop has grown beyond its original roots and no longer seems to prioritize the level of service it once offered. read more

Ah, mediocre.... $4.75 for a 8oz specialty coffee is a bit steep... It's kiddie size, so not worth the price to me... To get a sample taste of a drink, for basically the same price as as the breakfast I get at Cracker Barrel, is not enough to keep me coming back... I'll invest in my own barista machine at home, before I waste anymore money like that... It was good, but not good enough to spend that kind of money (UNLESS it's a treat every once in awhile)... Upon observation, I seem to be in the majority here... Many customers seem to frequent this place... They are even willing to pay $3 for the cheapest thing on the menu (small-regular drip, black coffee)... That kind of peeves me too... Talk about inflation on prices... It makes Starbucks look better( at least more quantity per dollar)... Better yet, I'll just continue to buy my Starbucks bag of coffee @ Costco and make it at home, for a fraction of the price... Plus, they were SLOW today... I could have made a trip home and been back, by the time I received my order. This place has an excellent vibe. They also have a great product. I ordered a 12 ounce flat white and was amazed when the bill came to $9.30. Apparently they charged me a buck 50 for almond coconut milk that they make in house. I wish I would've known that they were going to charge me for that. Great coffee in a cool location. Their storefront is in The Factory and the space fits the industrial vibe well. I opted for The Roosevelt, a latte with cinnamon. The latte was the perfect temperature for immediate drinkability, the espresso was smooth and balanced, and the cinnamon was an accent note that did not overpower. The space was bustling and full of folks working so I took my order to-go to walk around with while I explored the rest of The Factory. Give these guys a try! read more

Just on the quality and taste of the product alone, and the friendliness & competence of the staff, it's a SOLID 5 STARS. But..part of a business is the other stuff too. I just don't like going there because... 1.) SLOW. They have one espresso machine. 2.) PRICEY. The biggest size is 16oz and even then, it's filled with ice so it comes down to about 10oz of product. 3.) LIGHT ROAST ONLY? They advertise as having a light to medium, but it's light. The caffeine reuptake doesn't bloom nearly as well. In other words, you'd need 2-3x the product to get the same effect you may be accustomed to. 4.) STUFFY ATMOSPHERE. The space is cool. The clientele that fill it? Not so much. Solutions? Open another location elsewhere. Have 2 espresso machines. Lower prices or increase sizes at current price point. read more

I'll start with the good but will follow it with what's unfair pricing on bowls. Good: beautiful new renovation, excellent expresso, super nice staff (albeit some have no clue how to work the register). Not so Good: Pricing for bowls is suspect. You charge for peanut butter in the initial price of the bowl and charge more to substitute almond butter - ok maybe. But to charge $2 for adding blueberries and a second $2 to add strawberry's which equals 40% of the total cost of the entire bowl is insane. For starters the menu shows $2 for strawberry's blueberry's which makes u believe they are both included. Worse you get maybe two total strawberry's sliced up how the heck is that $2!! Suggest $1 for any fruit u want added a la cart. The açaí mix is very limited as well and would prefer real granola instead of a pile of dry oats. Hopefully this is dialing it in as they just opened but stop overcharging for some extra toppings. read more
