Apart from being the closest location to my street, there is very little that makes me want to return to this location. Nearly every time I come in and order, there is always something that is wrong with my order. Typically, I get two drinks: one with and one without boba, and although they are made quickly, they usually mix up which drink should have boba despite repeating the correct order back to me at the register. Each time I ask them to correct this mistake the staff almost always makes it seem as though it is entirely my fault that these mixups occur. On top of this, my most recent visit concluded with one drink missing coffee entirely, and it seemed as though it was a jab at the fact that I had asked the same employee my drink to be remade properly last time. Needless to say, the Northridge Mall location is far superior, and while improvements have been made in the past few years at this location, I would much rather prefer to go elsewhere. read more

Try their Canela Milk Tea, it's milk tea, but with a lot of cinnamon and maybe some anise flavor. It tastes like a churro in a milk tea! Their rotibuns are really good, they look like a sweet bread with a cookie baked on top. The cheese rotibun has white chocolate chips on top. One bite, and you are in sweet cream cheese heaven. However, in the center is actual cheese, so this is both sweet and savory. Such a treat! The butter rotibuns have chocolate chips on top and some butter custard cream goodness in the middle. It's true, there isn't enough of the center stuff, but when you do bite into it, it's soooo good! Especially when it's fresh and hot. Once it cools down, it's not as good! Eat it fresh!! We were greeted by a smiling worker when we came in who was also helpful with ordering. Both the hubby and I ordered a blended taro drink with boba. I got the small, he ordered the large. The drink is as I expected - sweet, creamy, and icy. The boba balls were soft and slightly sweet. We also ordered the roti buns that I had seen here on Yelp. We had the cream cheese flavor and to be honest, it was not quite my cup of tea. Don't get me wrong, the bun is tasty - slightly sweet with that gooey cream cheese in the middle that gave the bun a little bit of sourness. The outside of the bun was crispy and buttery. Also, they warm the bun up when you order it. Overall, this is a great place for a boba drink that also serves gelato and other desserts. 90% of my Passion Fruit Green Tea is still sitting in the fridge.... My boyfriend and I were traveling back from our road trip to Monterey and needed a pick-me-up for the road, since it would take us 6 hours to drive back to LA. So I yelped boba/tea places and Honey Berry showed up recommended by Yelpers. I already had low expectations coming here knowing it would be unfair to compare boba places back home in the SGV to Salinas, but gosh the drinks here are REALLY awful and pricey. I spent about $14 on two Roti breads and two drinks. The Roti breads were warm and delicious so I'm giving them the extra star for that. Although, for a drink place Honey Berry is terrible. My bf got a large Taro drink without boba and it tasted watered down and powdery. I got the Passion Fruit Green Tea with boba and it tasted like straight up sour syrup. The boba was not as chewy as I'd like and it wouldn't even go through the thick straws, so they kept getting stuck. Also, we asked for easy ice so they didn't fill our drinks up all the way (both had a two inch gap to the lid). The drinks were so bad we ended up driving to the Starbucks on the other end of the plaza to make up for this disaster. I definitely would not recommend coming here other than for their Roti bread. Overall, this place is just a poor imitation of an Asian boba shop. read more

Finally! An Asian dessert place in the area. Descent boba drinks. The pearls were the right texture, not hard and gummy. The roti buns were good too. Unless you have a major sweet tooth don't let your eyes order for you, one is enough. I was honestly kinda surprised that there was a steady flow of non-Asian customers ordering boba. That's awesome! I so want to give this shop more stars but 3 stars is even pushing it.. When I first entered the aroma of the roti buns being baked was just heavenly... I didn't even think I was in Salinas. As we ordered the guy was not helpful in explaining the rotiburger to my friend.. Cause quite frankly I was not confused myself. Worst roti bun ever! We went there few minutes ago and bought 6 roti with cream cheese. The roti is fine but the cream cheese taste so bad it tasted spoiled, more like sour cream than cream cheese. We took a bite on 2 1/2 of roti bun and throw it in the garbage cuz couldn't eat. We had 2 full one left. OH MY GOSH! the bread has almost the same texture as a croissant. It is light and fluffy on the inside. The best part of the bread was the crunchy stuff on top.
