People weren't kidding when they say the service here is bad. We came on a Wednesday and it wasn't crowded as we got a table immediately. There is a sign stating a special 19.99 ayce for Monday thru Thurs but it's a bait, you can only choose meat items. When we asked about the special the guy was kinda rude and just said you can only get 2. Since it was so limited we decided to forego the special and go with menu A and even that is pretty limited for 29.99. On our sheet we put down multiple orders of brisket and he came out with one. The other means he set in another table, didn't say a thing, didn't say it was our order, he just left it there and we were supposed to know somehow. Brisket cuts were really thick, much more than any other kbbq places we've ever been to so it tasted different. Tofu soup is no included on menu A so we paid extra. We selected a bunch of sauces from the menu and they never brought it out. Ordering more meat felt like a chore and that we were bothering them. Guy didn't even ask for our drink order and walked off as soon as he grabbed the paper. Pretty horrible kbbq experience. We wanted to give this place a shot but will never come back. Really expensive for limited selection and an abundance of attitude. Also inside the dining area was ridiculously hot. I know it's kbbq but I've never been to one were I'm dying os sweat trying to make it through dinner. Suspect they do that to make you comfortable so you'll leave early. Oh my god, this place is so good. It's really cute inside, and they always have K-pop music videos playing on the TVs while you eat, which makes the atmosphere really fun. I know some people say it's not super authentic, but honestly, you're grilling your own food, so who even cares? Yeah, the menu can be a little confusing at first, but once you actually look through it, it's pretty simple. And trust me, the food is worth figuring it out for. We got a bunch of different beef options for the all-you-can-eat, and it was definitely worth the price -- around $34 per person. Everything tasted so dang good. This place is super cute! The vibe is totally different from any other Korean BBQ restaurants I've been to. This place is fun, bright, and open. The tables, decor, and chairs all play into the playful street vibe. The place has catchy music and music videos playing. The AYCE is only available on Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and Holidays. They do have an A ($32.99) and a B ($39.99) option, with B being more expensive because it offers more meats. My family and I went on a Friday and chose the B option. We did not like that certain meats under the B option are limited to one per person per table. My family and I love Galbi, and that is one of the items that is limited. I feel like if it's an AYCE, it should be UNLIMITED. I did like the spicy squid, soy sauce chicken bulgogi (tender, flavorful, and juicy), shrimp, Galbi (slightly chewy, but flavor was good), and tteokbokki (the sauce was SO good I was dipping my meats and other foods in it). My family and I thought the other items were okay, such as the beef bulgogi, seafood pancake, fried dumpling, and steak. Overall, there are a lot of meats to choose from so you will definitely find something you like. The service was both good and bad. The servers were super-fast and hustling the entire time. They were definitely in the zone and even speed walking. Different team members would bring out your order and stop to check in and cook your meat for you. 1. Service - I got a mix feeling about this. There are young staff and older staff here. The young staff knows customer service. They typically speak English, are friendlier, and address you as sir or ma'am. The young staff are the ones hosting, ordering, and handling the bill. The older staff are the ones cooking your meat in front of you. It's a hit or miss as I have been here and another location multiple times. Not all, but some of the cooking staff are very hasty to cook as they jump from table to table. They splattered oil (which can happen) and didn't apologize about the incident. No acknowledgment. The older staff are not as friendly. But again, I have seen moments, where they are so considerate, and cook at another table (other table was empty). Could be a language barrier thing also. I prefer that they slow down on the cooking, or even allow me to cook myself. 2. Price - we roughly paid $90 for 3 people. 1 meat dishes is roughly $30. 3. Ambiance - as soon as you walk in, you smell the aroma of grilled meat. You get a sporty bar vibe with metal tables, neon lights everywhere, but if I recall correctly, there are sport channels on tv. Haha. Instead they have KPop music videos playing on tv. Dress code here is casual. Table is small for this type of food. 4. Food - They have combination deals, but we opted to order individually. We decided to add as we needed more. For a party of 2.5, we had about 3 meat dishes. That was more than enough. If this is your first time, I recommend to get their BEEF BRISKET, PORK GALBI, and THINLY SLICED PORK BELLY. You get one bowl of rice per order of meat dish. My favorite place in Katy, I love their all you can eat Korean bbq. Me and my family we are regular here. The host is warm and welcoming honestly we never really had to wait for long. We love the team and their service. Our last visit was little off or not pleasant as in our first meat was really bad to an extent it was chewy and we had to throw it away. It's a big place and they have many seatings plus they have music but not loud nor noisy. The other thing was that our server was way too busy and focused on other table or they were short staffed during afternoon and the place was empty not packed nor busy. Our food was either burned or not cooked so we actually did majority of cooking but we still tipped 20%. We enjoyed our soup and I wish they included kimchi chigey or army stew with all you can eat. I came during lunch on a Saturday and although busy they were very VERY attentive. Almost boarder line too much. It was easy and convenient and we chose the "A" option and it came with more than enough food. 90 minutes of AYCE was well worth it. I normally get the A all you can eat instead of the B but we were celebrating and I wanted boneless rib meat..... well.... You can get that on side B BUT it's not all you can eat. A great korean bbq place! I like the uniqueness that this restaurant is not AYCE and the servers actually cook the meats for you. The vibes are more of a family style of dining. We got the beef package and the meats were actually super well seasoned and delicious. Compared to other Korean restaurants, I was a little unimpressed with the number of banchan dishes. There was only cucumber kimchi, pickled radish, and cabbage kimchi. I wish there were more options to pair with the meats. Their seafood pancake and tteokbokki was good but again, I wish the portion was a bit bigger. (Though I visited with 7 other people so the portion would probably be enough for a small group). This is not my first time here for your information. Kinda disappointed with the ala carte portion. I ordered a plate for fresh sliced pork belly which a lot thinner than it used too. Same with the boneless beef kalbi which cost around $38 and came in a really small portion. Eversince they have an option for all you can eat, they cut their portion size for the ala carte order which disappointing. The seafood pancake was looking like a pre-made as well. Went here for AYCE KBBQ for lunch and it was okay. The restaurant is decent and services were great. Place seem to be nice and clean. Though this is an AYCE KBBQ, it's not a true AYCE. They have a la cart orders and most of the a la cart items are not part of the AYCE, though some should have been included. The Galbi is only one piece and some other premium items are only one order per person. That part was disappointing. The marinade for the Galbi was very light so you still need some kind of sauce to dip. They don't have many dipping sauce options so the meat were bland for us. The marinated meats didn't come out until very last so we were eating the non marinade ones, which made it super dry and uninterested. So when they came out, we already lacked interest in eating them. I wasn't full at all but got the "meat out" due to the lack of flavor. Other food is on the sweeter side so that also didn't help with my tastebuds. Everyone else i came with had a similar experience. We were left still hungry for other food. Lol. I do recommend coming here and try it out, just have better expectations and order strategically, then you'll be fine.
