The service was friendly and very helpful. The food was amazing with no complaints at all. The ambiance was upbeat being that it was in the Hmart.

    Bibimbop

Ordered the bibimbop. Not that good honestly. It's edible since it's paid for but would not recommend. No flavor. Beef was also lacking in flavor. With so many Korean and Asian restaurants in this area, I expected so much better! Mushroom (hidden under the egg) is hard and very hard to chew. Fish cake banchan and potato banchan are not edible. Gross. Kimchi isn't fresh. Don't recommend. Yes, I'm Korean and have eaten MANY bibimbops in my long lifetime!

The food was amazing I just wished the sides were a little more because they put very little of the kimichi and fish cakes the other side they put a lot. It was very busy when I came, but it came out fairly quickly. It is located in the Hmart food court in Katy Asian town. Well lit and calming during the lunch on weekdays.

I always enjoy a Korean tofu soup. I've had their food at their restaurant location outside of h mart and it's better there. The soup here felt rushed and the flavor was incomplete. Still nice option for have at the h mart food court. The kimbap was standard.

    Bulgogi lunch box..#L2

Location is inside HMart. Prices are fair and portions are huge. Fast service and everything was hot and fresh and tasted great. I got L2 Bulgogi Lunch box this is a must try. There are 6 eateries inside this HMart and they all have good food...but this place is the one my daughter always goes to.

I got the combo Korean ribs with mild tofu soup and it was so delicious! Love the side dishes that comes with them. Jang guem is one of my favorite places to get Korean tofu soup. The Chinatown, sugar land and Katy locations are the 3 that i frequent and it's always on point.

The WORST Korean soup I've ever had. The owner had one poor little Hispanic man working behind counter. We waited 10 minutes to order bc he was hurriedly trying to wash dishes. He was cooking, serving, working counter and washing dishes all by himself, no one else was there to help him. After us there was several other frustrated people in line all waiting to order. The side dishes had no taste, kimchi was sweet and the soup had zero flavor. My beef soup had 3 or 4 pieces of meat. The soft tofu wasn't soft, very firm and in chunks floating around in my soup. The broth wasn't blended, the red spicy sauce was separated from broth. Will not be ordering from inside this Hmart location again. P.s And for goodness sake, management please hire 2 people to work behind counter.

Yup ! Hail to the king. Houston is known for the places where a specialty victors over some restaurants twice as expensive and never come close to tasting as good :) I love this place... I always order the same thing and they are just consistently good. :) whenever I'm near hmart in Katy.. I'll always find a way to make it here.

For the portion you'd get and what you paid, just go to Bon Galbi for better bang for bucks, also better taste at Bon Galbi Taste is straight up salty water!!! Be aware

Tasty Ko is located further South of I-10 in an assuming plaza. As soon I stepped into the restaurant, I was hit with delicious aromas of KBBQ and seafood sizzling at the tables. I was in the mood for noodles and so was my friend - we ordered the jjamppong and the jiajiangmein. The broth for the jjamppong was super flavorful and deep with seafood notes. There were plenty of veggies (cabbage) and squid. The shrimp were small and kind of mushy - probably from a frozen bag or just not fresh. I didn't mind though. The serving size of noodles were perfect, and maybe a little bit more than I wanted since I couldn't finish the whole bowl. The jiajiangmein looked equally as delicious - my friend said there was a lot of onion in the sauce. The array of banchan consisted of kimchi, marinated bean sprouts, cold kimchi pancake, and marinated spicy cucumber. Yummy banchan as well. Tasty Ko is a great spot if you're not wanting to drive all the way to the Spring Branch area for Korean food, and not wanting to spend an arm and a leg at Katy Asian Town. Good menu selection for those who either want KBBQ or a la carte classic Korean dishes!

Every single dish was spot-on and the portions were quite generous. If I had to pick, the Japchae, Jajang Myeon, and Spicy Seafood Jjampong Soup were especially memorable. A thick noodle is used for the Japchae which held on to the flavor really well and provided more of a bite. The Jajang Myeon and Soup were absolutely bursting with flavor - bold, rich, and truly satisfying. They perfectly captured the essence of what these dishes should taste like: delivering a home-cooked taste at restaurant quality. As typical of Korean restaurant, every meal comes with an assortment of banchan. The kimchi was perfection and it seems like there are unlimited refills for the banchan. Let's not forget that this is a Pocha! There are lots of drink options and they are open late. This also makes for a great place for large groups and seating ranges from open tables or private booths for those looking for something more private. There is an open stage where I suppose open-mic karaoke used to take place, but as of 01/2025 management has put up signs stating it's currently not in use due to noise complaints from the neighbors. Still, there are plenty of private karaoke rooms to be put to use. This place is a hidden gem - it seems like a well-kept secret tucked away in this little neighborhood. I really hope the place gets more traffic in the future. They really deserve it! Overall really great place to come chill at with friends they've got the food, drinks, and karaoke covered.

There is a sign stating a special 19.99 ayce for Monday thru Thurs but it's a bait, you can only choose meat items. When we asked about the special the guy was kinda rude and just said you can only get 2. Since it was so limited we decided to forego the special and go with menu A and even that is pretty limited for 29.99. On our sheet we put down multiple orders of brisket and he came out with one. The other means he set in another table, didn't say a thing, didn't say it was our order, he just left it there and we were supposed to know somehow. Brisket cuts were really thick, much more than any other kbbq places we've ever been to so it tasted different. Tofu soup is no included on menu A so we paid extra. We selected a bunch of sauces from the menu and they never brought it out. Ordering more meat felt like a chore and that we were bothering them. Guy didn't even ask for our drink order and walked off as soon as he grabbed the paper. Pretty horrible kbbq experience. We wanted to give this place a shot but will never come back. Really expensive for limited selection and an abundance of attitude. Also inside the dining area was ridiculously hot. I know it's kbbq but I've never been to one were I'm dying os sweat trying to make it through dinner. Suspect they do that to make you comfortable so you'll leave early. We never got near the 90 min mark since it was so hot in there we couldn't wait to leave.

I know some people say it's not super authentic, but honestly, you're grilling your own food, so who even cares? Yeah, the menu can be a little confusing at first, but once you actually look through it, it's pretty simple. And trust me, the food is worth figuring it out for. We got a bunch of different beef options for the all-you-can-eat, and it was definitely worth the price -- around $34 per person. Everything tasted so dang good. They also give you sides like lettuce wraps, steamed rice, and steamed egg, which was AMAZING. There are so many things you can order, and the quality was really good overall. The staff were also nice and came around often to help if we needed anything or had questions. Overall, I think it's a really great all-you-can-eat Korean BBQ spot, and I'd definitely go back.
