    La galbi, fire.

We went for dinner around 6:00 pm on a Sunday with a party of 10. We were split between two tables, but honestly, service never skipped a beat. We waited briefly to be seated, but that was only because a few people from our group were late. Once we were in, everything moved smoothly. We did AYCE Option B ($36.99), and it was 100% worth it. The extra steak options alone justify the price. Meats highlights: Spicy pork belly - this is the reason I come to Korean BBQ. My favorite every single time. If you're unsure what to get, start here. Spicy pork bulgogi - the surprise of the night. Big flavor, great spice, and the thin cut of pork really held up to the marinade. If you're ordering bulgogi, this is the one. LA Galbi - excellent, flavorful, and absolutely worth upgrading for. Beef hanging tender - smaller cuts that took seasoning really well. A little sesame oil, salt, garlic sauce... chef's kiss. Steak - lean, but not my favorite. Even with seasoning, it could use something to help break down the connective tissue. Hawaiian beef bulgogi - fine, but there are better options on the menu. Spicy octopus - this one's on me. We didn't cook it well, and by the time it came up to temp, most of the flavor had run into the drip tray. I like a good char and caramelized sugars, which didn't happen this time--but I'd try it again. Sides were on point: kimchi, steamed eggs, stir-fried fish cakes, cucumber salad, pickled radish, japchae, fried dumplings, and seafood pancake. The fish cakes are still my favorite--I honestly don't even know what they are, but I get them every time. Kimchi and cucumber salad never miss either. Drinks were solid too--Sapporo beer and peach-flavored rice wine, both did what they were supposed to do. Service really stood out. Our servers were on it--grill was changed twice, drip tray about three times, and they were proactive without hovering. They worked as a team, made sure food kept coming, and even reorganized plates when things got crowded. Ventilation was great too--the vent drops right over the grill, so smoke was never an issue. The space was surprisingly not packed, noise level was moderate, and everything was clean. Seating worked well for a large group. Parking is pay-to-park since it's right next to the UMD campus, but it was easy. We paid on our phones inside the restaurant, though there's also a kiosk outside. I like this location slightly more than Ellicott City because you're more hands-on with the cooking, which adds to the experience for me. Would I come back? Absolutely. If this Honey Pig existed when I lived in College Park, I probably never would've left.

Had an amazing time here! The all-you-can-eat for $30 is a fantastic deal given the huge variety of options available. Every cut of meat we tried was delicious, and the food quality is top-notch. The service was excellent--the waiters and staff were incredibly friendly and attentive throughout our meal. It has a warm, inviting ambiance that makes it a great spot for a gathering with friends. While the music is mostly K-pop (which isn't personally my favorite), the overall vibe and food more than make up for it. Highly recommend this place if you're looking for a solid AYCE spot!

I've been to quite a few of these Korean BBQ spots around the DMV area so I have something to base my opinion off of. Honey Pig just became apart of the College Park area. On a mid-week evening I decided to take my foodie talents here because why not! Parking is tough, it's a college town and well it's always busy, get ready to download another app and pay 5-8$ for parking. (I'm old enough to remember when parking was FREE.) The set up is giving CUTE! The service was fantastic! Now in my humble opinion, the food was just okay. I didn't like it at all and ate just a little of everything to taste it. I won't get into it because it just wasn't good to me. The shrimp was the only thing I did like and I've definitely had better experiences at other Korean BBQ spots. Don't get me wrong, it's edible but my bougie palate didn't not approve. There are literally hundreds of these places, I'll definitely try them all just not this one again. Should you come try? Yes! Absolutely! Definitely worthy of a try!

I've been a fan of Korean cuisine since way before it became cool, but somehow managed to skip the OG kbbq chain, maybe due to the tepid reviews. But when they opened a store in College Park with AYCE, that knocked down some hurdles, so I gritted my teeth and braved the congestion on a Sunday when the voracious parking enforcement takes a day off to pray instead of prey. The store is located in the old open shopping center, across Route 1 from Ledo's. Fairly small for a kbbq joint, dark walls, TVs galore playing kpop, but at a moderate volume. Hoods over the grill at each table, so you won't go home smelling of kbbq (not that's necessarily a bad thing). Several differences from many such places: no tablet, order from your server. No sauce bar, 3 are on the table and others may be ordered. Many sides that are often upcharges are included, for instance pancakes and steamed eggs. You also have to order bahn chan from the server, and delivery is quick and cordial. Meats are still ordered from the server, but delivered by a robot. Take them off the tray, and tap the button to send it home. The good: solid kimchi, buckwheat noodles, and pickled radish. Barrel stool seats are a lot more comfortable than they look. Service is quick and cordial. I will note that they never offered to change the grill. The Bad: the Meats just didn't have much flavor. Of course, I've been spoiled by upscale places like Chadol. Tables are small. My solo selections filled 2/3 of a 4-top. The Ugly: bulgogi was poorly cut, I had to use the shears. Thick pork belly had a lot of gristle. Spicy pork belly, which should be meat candy, was blah. This place is clearly dumbed down for the student market. It might be a suitable first stop on a Korean style pub crawl, like the unlamented MeatUp. I wouldn't return just for the food. Merely OK.

I'm thankful I made a reservation because this place was PACKED. I strongly recommend everyone looking to come here on a weekend does their due diligence and reserves a spot for the night. The restaurant is experimenting with later hours going until 12am, instead of 11 like it says on the website, which is awesome. The experience is more hands off by the staff and that allows you to have more control of the cooking and prepping process. I found the service to be attentive and quick when needed, and the food to be delicious and portioned well. There are two menus to choose from, with one being priced at $32 and the other for $40. The differences are the quantities and qualities of meats and whether or not they are marinated for long periods of time. Aside from the college atmosphere due to the proximity to the university of Maryland, the HoneyPig has a rich and exotic vibe and decorum. Highly recommend.

So excited to have another kbbq place in College Park campus! Meat quality is good - super fresh beef and delicious!! Love the sauce options. Love how it's no tip too that makes me a broke college student very happy. Wish the service was a bit faster. We learned to get over this by just ordering bunch of meats earlier beforehand. Vibes are super good too like a pocha. Fun to go with friends and enjoy kpop and drinks and food! Also seats open up into storage!! Also take use of the aprons hung on the side :) Also fun tip!! Order the tteokbokki (AYCE) and grill the rice cake with cheese on top it's so yummy and crispy :)) BTW parking lowkey sucks because you have to pay. Otherwise you might get ticketed!!

The food was good. It's been a while since I've been to one of their locations. Overall, it's still good food, and the atmosphere is the same. The robot server helps make the service feel unique. The transition to the AYCE menu is a good thing, in my opinion. So give it a try, grill up your own servings, and enjoy the company you have. Remember you're going to smell like you ate BBQ.

Huge place did not expect it to have so much seating and room from the outside but it definitely was spacious. Service was great from the wait staff, very friendly and quick with service. Upon seating you get a small bowl of steamed rice which is comforting and delicious with the meats and sides. Plenty of options from beef, pork, chicken and shrimp. I wish they did have more chicken options for both sides as I do no eat pork and side A was heavy with pork options but nonetheless the sides were delicious and so were the drink options. There wasn't much space on the table so we had to put some stuff on the floor and the grill started to become crusty and black with the residue of the meats cooking and would burn. Other than that cool place to come to with family friends or even a date.

Service here is fast. They have a robot that delivers meats to assist the server. Out server was really good. She was hustling the entire time. She was great. The place was spacious and comfortable. The smoke cleared out quickly bc of the retractable vents. Cool design. The meats were fine. We got the more expensive option and started with the premium meats. Each meats ranged in quality. Some were 10. Some were as low as 7. But it did hit the spot. The butter garlic pork belly and baby octopus were really good. The side dishes and sauces made up for any of the be average meats. Highly recommend this place.

This place is so good!!! Good selection of meats and sides given the prices. I got Menu A which was around $29 per person and felt like every bite was worth my time. The seating was well-organized and the only issue you may have is fitting every plate on the table. The workers are extremely kind and happy to help you out. There is paid parking, but if you go to UMD, just park at the structure and walk to the place. Plus, they have 10% off student discounts!

Our server filled our waters in the beginning but that was it, after that finding her for anything was not happening. Boo-hoo, look around and you'll find a spot unless you're driving a yacht. Now, to the setting and the food...the setting is the way I like it. Rustic, clean, unassuming, not fancied up. Wooden privacy screens are set in between tables. (Perhaps because of Covid? Not sure.) This to me was really comfortable, didn't feel like I was stuck in a cattle car. I'm sure there's Korean BBQ here but we weren't at such a table. In fact it looked like grills had been removed from some tables and replaced with wooden covers. So nice to have that extra space because... Ordered bibimbap, bulgogi, steamed dumplings, etc. The extra side dishes I enjoy (kimchi, sprouts, etc.) were there as well. Ice tea, yadda yadda.
