Had to have the crab cakes and catfish bites. Crab cakes were made with heavy crab meat and a unique corn meal blend. Loved them! Catfish bites were steaming hot - be careful burned my mouth, crunchy, dang good and served with a generous smile. Main courses were; Shrimp and cheese grits. We are always trying to find new brunch spots and this one came up on several list when looking on Tik Tok so we went. My wife told me a long time ago to check this place out and I forgot that she been here before. I made a reservation and even arriving early we were sat immediately. I think that reservations are good, but not needed yet as the place finds footing? At least for a Sunday brunch. We ordered drinks and then our food and ALL our food came out before our drinks which was kind surreal. I ordered the mystery sweet drink and she had the mule. My drink was TOO sweet so they got me the honey punch instead. Still sweet but good. She got the fish and grits which all were tasty even if the grits were a bit runny. Covington is now the home of a favorite Miami Restaurant and I'm excited. Day one of the soft opening was a success! Between the big balloon banner, lots of customers and delicious food I was impressed! I love that everyone is greeted as hunnies when arriving, you can't help but smile at that. The food smelled great, several tables were filled up and we were told we were customer ten! We came for brunch and had breakfast on our minds so we got the two breakfast options. I got the beautiful red velvet pancakes and he got the sweet chick French toast. Both were a hit and we experienced new flavors that we hadn't tasted before. Between the light and fluffy layer between the pancakes and the hot honey with the French toast we were feeling great. Each had their own unique flavor and were light and fluffy and didn't give you the heavy carb feeling afterwards. We tried the mystery drink off the menu as it intrigued us and it was delicious. It tasted like a nice refreshing pineapple good morning drink. It was colorful and topped with a sliced lemon! The shrimp and grits literally came with only 4 overcooked shrimp. And while the grits themselves were well seasoned , I will never again pay $22 for essentially a bowl of grits with a shrimp garnish. The chicken and French toast was below what I expected too. Pros, the portion size was good and filling (I got the full portion) and the chicken was tender and juicy. The fresnch toast itself was dry and tasted like cinnamon today crunch cereal. Not a fan personally but if you like that cereal , you'll love it. Catfish bites were fresh and hot . Could have used more salt. They tasted delicious dipped in the Cajun cream sauce. A must visit!!! Me and my husband were in town for the Cincinnati Music Festival and stopped by this restaurant after he found great reviews about them online. The food, the service and the restaurant itself were great! We chose to sit inside in this day as it was pretty warm outside. The waitress that served us was very helpful in helping us to navigate the menu. I ordered the oxtail and grits, my husband ordered the fish and grits with a side of pancakes. My oxtails were very tender and flavorful. The grits were on the thinner side but the favor was good as well. I tasted my husbands pancakes and they were amazing! Melted in my mouth. We also ordered a wing appetizer, which I wasn't impressed with because I felt they needed more flavor, but I didn't hold it against them in this review because I am from Buffalo were we have some of the best wings so it's hard to compare. Very nicely decorated. We made a reservation for 11:30am but still had to wait about 30 minutes for our table. We were a party of 6 and our food did not come out at the same time. Two of us were waiting for our food for about 10 minutes after everyone else. Our server was very kind, they already add 20% gratuity. The restroom has no changing table for those with babies/ toddlers. I was shocked by this as there were several parties besides ours with littles. A stool also would be helpful to be tucked under the sink for littles to wash their hands. The music playlist was awesome BUT it was too loud and the speaker by our table was busted as the sound quality was botched. We had to talk very loudly to hear each other. The food was good, not amazing. We had the deviled eggs, low country potatoes, and the sweet chick. I would have given 4 &1/2 stars if allowed. The food was good with the exception of the fried Lobster Tail that accompanied the Mac & cheese dish. The lobster tail was overcooked and the coating much too salty. In all fairness they replaced it without prompting (chalk that up to our exceptional server) but it came out undercooked with the same salty flavor. Having said that the Catfish bites, jalapeño cornbread, fried green tomatoes, Brussel sprouts, Mac & cheese, pasta & dinner salad were all very good. The cocktails were great and our Server was EXCEPTIONAL! I would go back to try brunch but I would not try the lobster tail again. I think I would have enjoyed it more had it been broiled or baked. We had appetizers, fried green tomatoes, and deviled eggs topped with BBQ chicken. The potential was there. The deviled eggs needed a moist warm or hot, simple fried piece of chicken. The BBQ sauce threw it off. You have to think about how the dish eats. You can't just put stuff together. Season the devil egg stuffing more, add a little jalapeño juice and additional seasoning that compliments chichen and egg. Fried green tomatoes were ok. They were seasoned, but I like mine a little more firm. There are a lot of places in the area, right down the street that do them well. We did not order anything else based on the app experience. Hi Honey! Honey Uninhibited is such a great addition to Covington and the Greater Cincinnati area! They Grand Opening was just last week/weekend I believe and they have a bright future here! The whole style of this place is so fun, so current. I loved all the lighting fixtures, the antiqued mirrors, and the semi mate black flatware!! They have a great seating area outside as well (we did not utilize it, being 90+° with horrid Ohio/Kentucky humidity) Our server, Sean was great, very attentive. We were greeted by all staff we came in contact with from walking in the door till leaving. I ordered Deviled Eggs for a "Stinger". Who would of thought barbecued chicken on a deviled egg would be the bees knees! Not I. I highly highly recommend giving these a try. For my main I ordered the Sweet Chick! The chicken was great; juicy, perfect crunch with the breading, just enough spice that paired perfectly with the spicy honey and the sweet cream drizzle. The berries were super fresh. The atmosphere is definitely neo-soul and if I could describe it in other words it would be casual classy. The food was awesome. Our fried catfish bites came out hot and crispy and was accompanied by this simple, yet, delicious Cajun remoulade! Our appetizers were a warm welcome. The meal was legit! The grits were cooked spot on and had a robust smokey cheese flavor. The sauce was a very nice touch. The fish was well-seasoned and remained crispy and tender. The crab cake BLT was well cooked as well! The bacon wasn't too crispy nor flimsy. The brioche buns were like biting into a cloud. The crab cake was single handedly one of the best that I've had. They did have some gluten free options though not marked on menu as such, however I suspect this is probably because of cross contamination that they don't mark it GF. On top of this the challah was not soft as you would expect, overly salty, and dry!!! Cheesy Grits 10/10 Everything looked pretty but execution was slow. Service was fine but not attentive. Coffee not offered, water not refilled. Asked for a side of 2 eggs, or a side of extra cut and it cannot be done. For a beginner business I give them grace but ambience and experience overall 3/10. This was my 3rd and I think the last visit. I ordered the chicken uninhibited salad which is really just a chicken Caesar. The dish came out with a very small piece of grilled chicken breast and the romaine was swimming in dressing. There was no Parmesan cheese. I had to ask for the croutons that were supposed to be on it. For $23, it was a disappointment. When the check came, I was surprised by the $71 total for lunch for my husband and I. Neither of us got any drinks. There was already a 20% gratuity added as well. Our waitress, although nice, was either brand new or just struggling and really didn't deserve a tip that large.
