Been trying out new Poke spots in this general area for the past few weeks and I think this is the end of my journey. Poke Rainbow is as good as it gets for me whenever I'm out for lunch. I came in during the weekday with absolutely nobody in the store. Staff was very quiet so I had minimal interaction with them which isn't a big deal because there's only two roles to play here: one person to order, and one person to fulfill the order. Anything more and it's like a freshman mixer at college. My order consisted of a spring mix base, double albacore, ahi tuna, octopus, cucumber, jalapeno, and ponzu sauce. Everything hit the spot. And the greatest is their protein to side ratio was phenomenal! I had so much more protein left over you'd think my bowl was personally trying to bulk up! Pricing's a little expensive, but times are tough and shrinkflation is real. Thankfully it hasn't hit this place too hard...yet? This will be my go-to spot in this general area from now on. read more

Stopped by here for poke on the way home. The poke was delicious and the fish tasted decently fresh, and the portions were generous. Service was also quite polite and nice. The main gripe I had was them running out of ingredients. I ordered a bowl and ate at the restaurant; at the time, they were already out of edamame. When I finished my bowl and ordered another one to take home, they had also run out of salmon and avocado! I've rarely encountered this situation at other poke places, so I hope this isn't a regular occurrence. read more

Note- When ordering online, there's no option for ordering sides (step 2) which is a big part of the bowl. Ie. no crab salad, no seaweed salad option. Ordered a large Poke Bowl via online order and realized after the fact we weren't given the option to choose sides, which was a huge disappointment. read more

My favorite poke spot ! Been coming here for years now and poke rainbow has always been so reliable. The food is amazing and all the fish and veggies are so fresh you can taste it! The portions sizes here are great as well and I never feel like I'm being skimped on. The workers here are also amazing. Everyone who has served me has been great and they are so kind. Definitely a really good set of workers they have here. I also had the pleasure to be served by the owner herself. Mireya was wonderful and we talked about the place and her future plans for poke rainbow. She has great ambitions and definitely can see what she has building up here. This is a pretty good Poke spot. They are generous with theirs scoops of fish, and have a good selection of toppings. The fish is cold and fresh, and the toppings are also very fresh. It's never too busy, and they have great service with kind staff. I get a small bowl which comes with 2 scoops of fish, I add lots of the fresh veggies, and I get their #1 sauce mix which is not spicy and really good! They have several sauce mixes you can choose from, or you can make your own. I will return to this spot even considering the cons... The downside is avocado is $2 to add regardless the size bowl you get, and the prices are fairly high, high enough to include a free scoop of avocado I feel... and they don't have radish, which I love. Also, since I only get a small bowl it says I don't spend enough to get ANY points?? I guess it doesn't accumulate what you spend so I will not be able to earn stars here which is a bummer. read more

Short, sweet, and to the point. That's how this review will be and how a poke bar should be. Vibes are chill here. Not much space to eat inside so more of a takeout type of place. Service is very friendly and generous with portions. Additionally, fish tastes fresh. This is my go to spot when I need a quick post workout meal during my "cut phase." I typically order salad base with 2 scoops of spicy salmon and two scoops of tuna. Additional sides are sweet onions, cucumbers, avocado, masago, ginger, and topped with sesame oil and ponzu. read more

I got the medium sized poke with spicy tuna as my protein and salmon. I would say that I have tried other spots where everything was more flavorful. There are plenty of sides you can add such as seaweed, cilantro, avocado, crispy onion, crispy garlic, and more. For the sauces I added the house sauce as well as the spicy mayo. I used to come here all the time but now the service is terrible. I go in and wait a long time because the server is extremely slow. By the time I get to the front of the line, after I and many others have waited, he lets us know that that the restaurant is out of everything (including rice which should be getting made continuously). I get it happens once in a while but now it's happened every time I've tried coming back. Never again. read more

Wow I made the mistake of coming here because now I crave it all the time. They have a good selection to choose from with a small you get 2 proteins and unlimited toppings. I went with a spicy crab mix with half and half scallops and shrimp, BOMB! They have their most popular sauce combinations too which really take your bowl to the next level. The service was great. Wow! I've been here a few times the last month or so and it is always hitting the right spot! Today in particular Christian killed it in helping me out today with my bowl! Not to sound rude, but I'm honestly not sure why this place has high ratings. Their fish did NOT look fresh. I doubled up on the salmon since it looked the most promising. White rice was mid and the side options were so minimal and honestly you can tell it's been out for hours. I was extremely disappointed. I hope they can make some improvements on presentation with quality overall. Points for friendly staff though. read more

I went on a Saturday (the 17th) mid day to the whittier location, 4 pm and there was 1 worker at the shop and no salmon!! A poke store with no main ingredient!! this.is like starbucks running out of coffee Ridiculous and beyond unprofessional. For the price it's worth it the fish and vegetables are always fresh. The energy could be picked up however the customer service is good I hope they can retain some of their service representatives because they seem to be nice but they change very often. I love that they have a club card they stamp your card every time you buy one and then you get the next one free after 10 I already cashed one in. I love a good poke bowl spot! Besides this being probably the cleanest poke bowl place I've been to, the fish was super fresh and portions were a good size. I usually always order the spicy tuna with pretty much every topping possible. Sauces were very flavorful but not too overpowering. Staff is also very friendly! read more

I was not confused to a stupor that left me angry and frustrated, I was left more dazed with swirling lilies around my mind, like I had been hit hard with the staff of a fairy who pays the bills of the forest as an interior designer. The place has a design concept that takes two opposing forces and blends them into a restaurant concept: health forward food for O.G.'s and their like and crew, all while being a love letter to the streets of Los Angeles, the gritty streets, not the ones next to Rodeo. For instance, Cruz, one of the staff members, was wearing a "Straight out of Whittier" shirt that was clear nod to the movie straight out of Compton that was all about the rap and its consequence on West LA homeboy culture. The central mural of the joint showed low-riders, the LA symbol made with finger angles, and graffiti galore. Again, the message was clear this is a health cafe for Tupac and his friends and followers. These two principal ingredients mixing together (health food and LA street culture) at least in my mind, are more the subject for improv comedy than a sensible restaurant concept. I know people can mix what ever they want together, I know that there is choice when people color and dress, but this motif seemed like it was mixing Ninja culture with a dog grooming service. The concept can work, I see a ninja de-worming a golden retriever with swift skill but this concept also seems forced rather than flowing with common sense. So for a health cafe in LA I see Cher from Clueless, or Barbie, being more easily applied to the concept.But what do I know perhaps in a few months will have a Hell's Angel's tea experience that will not be dainty but rather hard like a helmet and it might be the concept that begins a revolution that ends with Hair Salons with Viking culture at its decoration theme. The (health) food in itself was a blessing. My friend Bailey is the healthy eater of the two of us! She got a simple green salad with tofu. I sampled a forkful. My hand had to dig in hard, with its fork, to retrieve the lettuce, the carrot, and some of the pickle, I avoided the tofu. The greens were fresh, and tasted clean in their simple flavors, but what elevated the green forkful to excellence in taste was the sweet mustard dressing. The green had dressing that turned solid greens to yummy ones! I ordered the shrimp tostada. Cruz, came to the table and explained that my plate was Keto friendly, which meant that it was good food for those who were experiencing life as a pre-diabetic, for example. What I loved about this place and its food, was that I did not feel like I was eating healthy and had to sacrifice pleasure in the name of honoring my health goals. Quite the contrary, the food was just plain good food, and for me, eating good clean food, is a fantastic way to keep my health goals on track. Apparently the tortilla was made out of cactus, and that is a why where the healthy stays in tact, while still being food that is satisfying, and, yummy! In my opinion, the quality was about a 5/10 compared to other poke places I've tried. The fish was average -- it didn't have that freshness or "wow" factor that really stands out. The cuts were also pretty large. Some people might prefer that, but for me it felt like too much in one bite, especially the octopus. I would've liked it sliced thinner and more flavorful overall. The service was great, and the inside was small but cute. That said, I was also the only customer there during Friday lunch hour. Not bad overall, but to me it was just an average poke spot with average-quality fish.

Protein: 3 scoops tuna, 1 scoop spicy tuna Mix: Cucumber, onion, jalapeño, cilantro Sauce: Ponzu Toppings: Furikake, green onion, ginger I had very limited interaction with the two ladies at the front, but they did their job and that's all any customer can ask for. The bowl satiated my appetite to an extent, but I was expecting a little bit more with a $20 purchase. I believe they lowered the amount of total protein scoops from five to four for a large bowl. But hey, resources are getting scarce by the day I guess. Tuna and spicy tuna was pretty great, although the ratio of protein to sides seemed a little too disproportionate than what I'm used to with other Poke places. So in other words- pretty solid, not amazing. Will probably go back again.

I usually go for the chicken teriyaki, but I'll switch it up with sushi, ramen, veggie tempura, or even the shrimp tacos honestly, you can't go wrong with anything on the menu. One of the main reasons I keep coming back though is the customer service especially Josh at the front. He's always upbeat, smiling, and respectful no matter how busy it gets. Even when there's a long line, he keeps things moving, communicates wait times, and makes sure everyone is taken care of. You can tell he really cares he's always double and triple checking orders to get it right. Great food, great prices, and genuinely great service. Only thing I'd say is it'd be nice to see a lunch special here and there but either way, I'll keep coming back.
