The beef wrap was decent, but not as good as the versions I've had at other Chinese restaurants in Fairfax. The cold potato salad was good, refreshing and a bit spicy. However, nothing they had was really that authentic feeling or flavorful. Most of the food was very bland and the pork bowls were VERY bland, no sauce or braised seasoning, not even a hint of five spice. The xiao long bao was also very bland, the broth had zero flavor but the wrap was soft. Overall though the soup dumplings were not very good. Big warning but - do NOT get the pork belly bowl. When the female server came to serve us the pork belly bowls, I noticed that the one given to my male friend had a lot more pork than my bowl (mine pictured). There was barely meat in my bowl, maybe 1-2 small spoonfuls. The meat didn't even cover up the rice, it was a single very thin layer of meat poured on. For $15 I was hoping for a bowl that had a normal portion size. I asked the server if they could do anything to ensure the meat portion was actually what was advertised on their menu since mine looked nothing like the menu, and she said no politely but that she would ask the owner/manager if they could add more meat. They refused to add anything! The bowl I had definitely didn't have a normal portion size. Since it looked nothing like their menu photos either, I felt quite deceived. I ended up leaving hungry and I mentioned this to her and they didn't seem to care at all. I have NEVER in all the Asian restaurants I've tried in the DMV ever left hungry after spending $30+ on food. Please do yourself a favor and AVOID this place. It's not worth the price for plain, bland tasting food and skimp portions of meat, along with an inflexible owner who doesn't want to address unfairly sized portions which they ripped me off on. While I was there they said they would take my feedback for next time, but also...what kind of response is this? This kind of poor service does not reflect well on a business whose excuse was that they were soft opening and would ensure the feedback is "addressed for future guests" while ignoring my current experience. That reasoning doesn't make it right to let your guest leave hungry when you don't serve them the right portion size. Please don't come here. Very SMALL PORTIONS and bland flavors. It's not worth your money or tastebuds. As a Chinese customer, it is also not authentic, the service is poor (one server started complaining in mandarin after I raised the concern politely that the meat portion was noticeably skimpy).
