    DISGUSTING SLOP!!
    Veronica R.

Came here to have lunch with my daughter today I've eaten here about three times and the food was fine but today was something out of the twilight zone I wanted shrimp with vegetables but was told I would have to pay $8 more if I wanted to add shrimp to the vegetable dish or $5 more to the shrimp dish if I wanted to add vegetables!!? When it was brought to my table, I was in shock!! It looked like somebody had vomited on this The shrimp had such a strong, pungent shrimp taste that I knew it was not fresh besides the gross soupy mess that it was drenched in. I asked the woman that served us that I did not like the dish at all, and if she could bring me something else. She immediately told me "no"without even allowing me to explain why I did not like the dish. I told her I would like something else again and she said "no u pay" I told her I would not pay for this dish and she said she would call the police if I didn't Every restaurant I've been to has always accommodated the customer, but this lady was from another planet She not only ruined my lunch with my daughter, but proceeded to set her alarm when I walked out She followed us out and started yelling at me and all I could tell her back was that she was a terrible person & gave horrible service Do yourself a favor & NEVER EAT HERE!!

The best mongolian beef I have ever had.

I would give this place five stars if there was air conditioning and if they hadn't shrank the portions. Irrespective of these issues, the food is still very good and you will not find better mongolian beef anywhere else. It is so tender and the flavor is perfect, you can taste the garlic in it but it is not too potent. Make sure you go during lunch hours because later on in the day the same dishes will cost you more money. Other items worth trying are the shrimp chop suey, sweet and sour pork, and the house fried rice.

My wife's friend recommended this place. He said it was "Really Good, A must try". So why do we do? We tried it. Service was great. Called it in. Gentlemen said 10 minutes. Very friendly mom and pop joint. Has a hole in the wall type feel. There were about three parties dining in and no one else waiting. But there were a few more tables available. Parking lots of it. Up the ying yang. Food was ready a few minutes after we paid. Got home and food was still piping hot. How was it? Already you say? Welllllllllllllllllll. Here is the nitty gritty. House chow Mein. Had beef. Chicken. Shrimp. And lots is brown gravy. But how good was it you say?????? Just OK. Shrimp fried rice. You can tell looks brownish. Lots of shrimp. Unlike some Places that throw 1-2 shrimp in there. But how was it you say?!?!? Just OK. Think they throw that brown gravy on ERRRRRTHANG!!!!! Beef broccoli. Beef was beyond tender. No fat. Juicy and tender beef. Broccoli was over cooked. And as you can see in the pictures THAT DAMN BROWN GRAVY!!!! Yes yes but how was it you say!?!?! Just OK Almond chicken. No idea what the heck that was. Chicken, almonds, celery in a brown sauce. YES !!!! THAT DAMN BROWN GRAVY!!!!!!!' Last the orange chicken. Crispetty chrunchetty hot, just enough ratio of batter to Chicken. How was it!?!! Ok ok well this was probably the best item of all. Was actually better thank ok. Why you ask!?!?! Maybe cause it didn't have THAT DAMN BROWN GRAVY and instead had a tasty orange flavored sweet n sour sauce. Best thing. Well. The egg rolls were also on point. So hot. So juicy. Snd double the size of the normal fast food Chinese food joints. May be willing to return and try other items. Key word is MAY and BE ..... well maybe just orange chicken and egg rolls. Other than that. JUST OK.

Sweet and sour fried chicken, string beans, and bbq pork chow mein

I love getting my Chinese fix here. Every time I know I'm going to be driving through this area, I try to order something. Everything I have eaten here has been good. I never had a bad dish. I phone in my order and it's always super hot and ready for me to dig in. A couple of my favorite are: Orange Chicken- I love the sauce and the fried of the chicken. Super yummy. Sweet and Sour Chicken- just like the chicken in the orange chicken but using the sweet and sour sauce instead. I have always been a fan of sweet and sour pork and I think I love this dish even more. The fried chicken and the sauce go so well together. Lately, I have been ordering this dish every time I come here. String bean and ground pork- yummy and not too salty. Chow Mein- I have gotten this dish with chicken or bbq pork. Both were good. I just really like the noodles. Doesn't matter what protein I order I just want the carbs!! Service, super friendly! Overall, I love it here and can't wait to try the other items they have!

Orange chicken, crispy with a great sauce.

Small place next to Sizzlers. A bit stuffy and hot inside to dine. Food was very good. Vegetable fried rice was flavorful. Egg rolls had a great flavor. Orange chicken was delicious and side note, the only chicken breast offered. Mongolian beef was great although I wish the meat was cooked a bit more. Would definitely go back, maybe try take out! Also, service was great.

    Beef chow mein 5/10

I was craving Chinese food and this was closest to my house. Service was great. Staff was super friendly. But the food was way below average. I paid $20 for chow mein, fried rice, and orange chicken. But to be honest, it wasn't worth $20. The orange chicken lacked flavor along with the other dishes. I think the fried rice and chow mein could've used some veggies maybe. Everything was just bland to me. I couldn't even finish my plate. Unfortunately I won't be coming back.

We had been going to Hong Kong Chef since 1999. My mother had 2 hip replacement surgeries in 2014 and 2018 so I do not go out to restaurants any more. Does anyone know when Mr and Mrs Lee sold their business?

I ate their about a month ago , she was still there.

The demeanor of both our server and the owner was noticeably cold and unwelcoming throughout our visit. We were simply there to order food to go and expected the same basic courtesy and respect that any paying customer should receive. What really stood out to me was what happened when I was paying. As I was handing over my credit card, the owner snatched the card out of my hand, and then also snatched the charge slip from my hand. I found the manner in which this was done extremely rude, unnecessary, and disrespectful. As a Black customer, I have unfortunately experienced situations where I have questioned whether the treatment I received was influenced by my race. I cannot say for certain what motivated the behavior we experienced at Golden Palace, but I can say that the way we were treated left us feeling uncomfortable, unwelcome, and disrespected. We don't expect special treatment. We expect basic courtesy, professionalism, and respect when we spend our hard-earned money at a business. I am sharing this review because customer service matters. No customer should leave a restaurant feeling like their presence was an inconvenience. Based on this experience, we will not be returning. .

Looks in the window a tipical Chinese lil buffet like P Ex. Butvery wrong. The food looks fresh and great as you walk up. And counter staff truly friendly and prompt. Food selections are somewhat typical except instead of chow main and rice they also have a vegetable base as well. Prices are standard you have the one two or three combo also have shrimp special combo 3 flavor noodle soup shrimp with lobster sauce and have family feast and prices are nice. They do catering as well. My wife got mushrooms chicken and orange chicken with chow main. Orange chicken is very good Mushrooms chicken is bomb I got pineapple chicken teriyaki chicken and BBQ pork. Love this teriyaki chicken is bomb love how it's grilled and then mixed with a teriyaki sauce with a ting of sweetness. Pineapple chicken is fresh with a sauce that give you thank mmm I want more. The bbq chicken is great with good flavor not over bearing like some. I like the options of a vegetable base is really good Customer service is on the ball. And this place is busy seating is good can be 2 to 4 or even 10 if you put the tables together. Can soda or fountain drinks and they sell a chili sauce hmm. I met that had been at this establishment for many years so this place good vibes Atmosphere is conversation among each other they have 1 TV with a show streaming. The portions were generous and packed with meat, which was definitely a plus. Unfortunately, the flavor was just average for me. I'd rather have a smaller portion with really great flavor than a large quantity that doesn't stand out. Overall, I wasn't impressed enough to come back. The food wasn't bad, but it just wasn't that great. I'd choose another spot next time.

I said "Ho Ho" trying to sound like Santa Clause, and my wife replied "That's where Tracy and I used to go," ignoring my brilliant entendre. I drove there and ordered what I was told to order. The lady running the counter was fast and efficient, juggling several walk-in customers as well as those who were seated with speed and aplomb. Not Disney-nice, but Asian-efficient. As I waited the ten minutes or so she'd told me it would take, I spied the cans of soft drinks in the cooler and stood up to grab some cash from my wallet. Before I could, the lady brought me a can of Mountain Dew, badged "American Dee" for our country's recent big birthday, and gave it to me *gratis*. That was really nice of her. The portions were more than enough with two main items and pork fried rice, family style. There was plenty of rice left over for George and I had the rest of the Kung Pau beef a few days later.
