We were looking to try a new Chinese restaurant in the surrounding area and we came across this place. It was Friday night but was very quiet (not sure why). Service was quick and people working there were really nice. They took our order and food came out in right amount of time. We tried their egg roll, Szechuan Chicken, Fried shrimp in Garlic sauce, and chow mein. Everything was delicious. Their Szechuan sauce was really good. Garlic sauce had a nice distinct flavor to it and it tasted amazing! Good food and good people, we will be coming back to try other dishes. Highly recommend.

Food here is good--generous portions and hard to complain about the pricing. We ordered four entrées, and our two favorites were the mapo tofu and Mongolian beef. There isn't much dine-in traffic, so there's plenty of space; most customers seem to order takeout. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. Family-friendly spot--would recommend.

Tried this Chinese place we saw next to Jomaru and it was pretty good. The cream cheese wontons had a bit of imitation crab inside. They were light and crispy. The server also brought over some wonton strips along with the sweet and sour sauce. The mushu pork was presented differently than I am used to. They came pre-wrapped with a side of sauce. The filling was flavorful and delicious. The salt & pepper pork was served with a bowl of white rice. It was not spicy at all and definitely could have used more heat! I also like it when it's crispier. The jjangmyun was different than our usual spot. The noodles were thinner and the sauce was thinner. The meat was tender and cooked well. It's a good spot if you are looking for a Chinese restaurant that tastes clean and authentic in the area.

Solid classic southern Chinese food with Korean-Chinese options. Had some good Korean sweetsour fried shrimp, braised green string beans, YangZhou fried rice, salt pepper fried porkchop, and jjajangmyeon black bean sauce noodles.

All the food was very good here, spacious and not too busy on Sunday during brunch time. Service is a little slow otherwise would have given it a 5 star. We'll definitely be back, my family 5 loved the food. Some of our favorites were the orange chicken, green beans, and the chicken fried rice. Reasonably priced, we had a ton of leftovers to bring home and manage to spend under $150 for 6 dishes, that's a plus for us!

This new chinese/korean spot opened up in a busy plaza in Cerritos. From previous photos and reviews, they moved from a different plaza on Bloomfield/South. Right now since it's grand opening, they are having a 10% discount. Plenty of seating available, and easy parking at the plaza. I have ordered their mongolian beef, orange chicken, honey walnut shrimp, salt and pepper fish fillet, and cream cheese wontons. All have been very delicious and I find myself wanting to come back to try more dishes. Service has been friendly and attentive as well. Highly recommend.

On a Tuesday evening, drove to this plaza to get some take out, apparently the restaurant I wanted to take out from was closed and so I searched here on yelp to find a nearby restaurant that offered a certain meal my family wanted. I bumped to this place by my surprise, my favorite Thai restaurant was gone, so Welcome to this location. So I walked in to give them a try. One, I wasn't greeted So I slowly walked towards the front host table, no one came by so I saw a menu and proceeded to see what they offer. I was standing there for a long while, I could have simply left. They only had like 3 or 4 families seated There were no signages of where I can order to take out or someone to tell me if am in the wrong spot. So I was going to give a very last chance so I walked towards the back and noticed a cash register so I was like "oh so I order here then?" Mind you there were workers there talking to each other the whole time. So finally, I placed an order for take out. Overall, this was not nice or convenient to have a customer waiting or ignored. I then heard and saw some customers getting up from their tables asking for utensils and condiments. Let me tell you though, the food was great. I loved it. Just the service not so great at all.

Yea!! Finally open again at the new location! We have been waiting a long time for one of our favorite places for Chinese food! Saturday night so it is wonderfully busy! Come in and enjoy the food and service!

    Salt and pepper fish filet

I've been going to this place for years when they were at the former location and atw recently at their new spot. The service is great and friendly. The salt and pepper fish filet is my favorite item. The soup is also very good and can easily feed 2 people for a small order.

They're back! So happy our favorite neighborhood Chinese spot is re-open. Please come support and enjoy their new location. Nice private family dining rooms, spacious layout, and same friendly faces. The food and prices are still amazing.

New Peking Restaurant Reviews in Other Languages

Ask the Community - New Peking Restaurant

Is this the same Peking Restaurant that once was in Downey?

No. As far as I know they were at the Bloomfield and South Street location.

Is this the former Peking Wok that used to be at Plaza 183 in Cerritos?

No, they moved from Bloomfield and kept the same name. And just as good too!

Have they opened at new location?

Not yet. They are moving to a new location by Sprouts on South, next to the donut shop. I went by yesterday 8/6 and there was no construction activity or signage. It may be a while longer.

    What is their new address?

11900 South Street, Suite 112, Cerritos, CA 90703 they just reopened 12/11/2025

Been going here for over 20 years now but I havent been in a while. Is it still the same owners (the ones that are pictured on newspaper clipping on the wall)?

No Steve does not own the restaurant any longer but I think it is still with in the family.

    Are they open?

They are closed and moving to a new location at the end of June. 11900 SouthSt.

I want to have a large dinner party for family. Roughly 20-25 people. Will this place accommodate? Also is there a large party menu we can order like a prefixed menu?

I don't think they have a private banquet area, but they could push tables together to accommodate I'm pretty sure. I believe they have a catering menu too.

I want to order a party tray, do I need to do it 24 hours in advance or can I just go in, order and wait for it?…

Depends on how big of a party tray your planning on ordering but I would order at least 8-12 hours ahead of time~

It's in a small, almost empty-ish plaza, but it's a little mom-and-pop gem. Ambiance (5/5): Walk right in and you'll see that it's on the small side, but a cute and simple restaurant with family vibes. Depending on the time of day, it can feel somewhat empty while at other times somewhat busy. Service (3/5): It's nothing too special, but the workers are always friendly. It's somewhat self serve. You order at the front and then you wait for them to call your order. Then you pick up your tray of food, eat, and place the trays towards the front when done. Food (5/5): Everything we have eaten here over the years is so yummy. Their hot stone bibimbap is chock-full of ingredients with just the right amount of sesame oil and flavor; we often have to pack some of it to go. Their army stew (budaejigae) is my absolute favorite, and I've compared it to a lot of other Korean stew places, some way pricier and this one still takes the cake. It has a wonderful roasted flavor from all the meats they put in and I love going for the ramen first. I always take extra to go since it's small but filling. The best part? Let's not forget that they have self serve all-you-can-eat banchan (side dishes) and they do not skimp on variety. There's your usuals like the napa kimchi, radish kimchi and fish cakes, but they also have mac salad, potato salad, japchae and other goodies which works well for your picky toddlers. Overall, this is a wonderful little restaurant that deserves a visit over and over when you're just craving some comfort korean food at decent prices.

I thought the Bulgolgi fries would be number one. Sadly it's not. If you mess up steamed egg, ima gonna say no to the rest of your menu. I would order two next time and just stick to that. The cheese corn was okay, but compared to PaDak and other local Korean spot I say skip this. The cheese tasted weird to me and I did t like that it was also a kraft American cheese. As a cheese lover, I only expect that square cheese to be on a burger or cheese melt. The Bulgolgi Fries could serve 3 people. But it was drenched with sauce, and spicy sauce. Not enough Bulgolgi to pay $20. The cut of fries were this nd tasted like sweet potato. It just didn't fit my taste buds. The Garlic noodle okay. That's Al I have to say about that. My mom also tried this place and recommended it, so I felt confident this would be a spot I would be coming often. We ordered the naengmyeon combo with spicy marinated pork and a side of soybean paste stew. The lady was nice when she seated us, but seemed a little bothered when we only ordered the above items, because she coldly asked "if that was all" and we said yes. She walked away then yells back asking if we wanted rice because rice wasn't included, and we said no. Despite the rough start with the vibe of the lady who took our order I was still hopeful the food itself would make up for it. Unfortunately, the food was mediocre at best. I've never had naengmyeon that had so much chili flakes, and as someone who doesn't mind them, it was weird. The soybean paste soup was bland. And the side dishes were just okay. After the meal, I got really thirsty and my face was puffy so they are using msg. If it was a good meal, I wouldn't have minded the msg, but for food that was mediocre at best was not worth it.
